It is my understanding that makerways for xplane does not work with XP-12. Is there a way to obtain a copy of the respective makerways created data files run in XP11 with default scenery, which should allow me to incorporate those files into the XP12 root folder so RC4 can see the available airport & rwy data?

Hi all, so as the title says RC4 stops working and I constantly get the message linked in the title. When I try and click ok it takes like 20 seconds then just repeats the error message over and over, rendering RC4 inoperable till it's quit and reset (and I don't even know how to reset it when in flight). This seems to happen most often with the QW787 as other aircraft like the PMDG 777 don't have this problem as often, though it does occur. The stuff I've found on the web hasn't been the most helpful, so I was wondering if there was a solution. Hi Could you help me please?? I purchased a copy of Radar Contact V4, a number of years ago and used it a lot with FSX. I thought it was the best ATC addon I have seen. My problem is my pc crashed about a month ago and it has takem me till now to find the problem and get it running again. But now when i try to run Radar Contact i can not get past the reg screen. Please is it posible to get a copy Radar Contact with the Key Gen software. I have tried the ICloud link but says no longer available. I would love to get Radar Contact running again, still think its the best atc addon. Thank You Brian

I am new to RC4 and I want to perform traffic patterns but there are no such option in the RC4 menu. I've already selected my VFR flight plan.

I used to have a choice of "emergency" then type of emergency choice but now I no longer have this choice in the plane with Radar Contact. Anybody know how to get this option back? Thanks.

Hi, I am long time user of RCV4 and have a new laptop that I am trying to install; RCV4 on. My old Reg Key doesn't work. When I try to access the key generator on the cloud, I get an error message that the file is no longer there. Any help will be appreciated. Best to all, Ken Boardman

I know this seems bizarre me asking for help but I have a problem updating the m4.csv file to correct many wrong transition altitudes. The file resides in the RC4x\data folder and is a plain text file starting with a version number on row 1 followed on row 2 onwards by an ICAO, unknown value, transition altitude. Taking one example of LEMG which needs changing from 6000 to 13000 I have created a new m4.csv replacing the original. But when loading a flight plan the TA shown on the Controller page for the departure airport of LEMG sometimes shows the old value of 6000 and sometimes the new one of 13000. To Ray or any other RC4 user - RC4.3 Controller (P3Dv5.4) commands initial descent earlier than FMC/CDU calculated T/D. The manual indicates it is possible to advise controller that we are unable to descend at present by selecting option #3 from the menu. However, I never see an option 3, only 2, 4 & maybe 5. I've tried both with NOTAMS box on arrival airport checked and unchecked without the option appearing in the menu. I've just been ignoring controller's commands to descend and once the a/c begins descent as per the FMC VNAV path, controller stops nagging me. Is there any way around this, or am I doing something wrong/missing something? Kindest reg…

W10; P3Dv5.3+; Radar Contact; LittleNavMap v2.8.12 (32bit), N2313; ASP3D + Cloud Art. Radar Contact has been my must have addon for almost 20-years to the extent that i never fly without RC4 running! Just recently I have been chastised unmercifully by ATC for not observing my 'given' altitude - this always associated with the descent phase of flight. For example: descend to alt 9000ft - done - altitude 9000ft indicated on all instruments (including GoFlight MCPPro). ATC keep calling me to stay with my assigned altitude - I am - warnings about being hauled in front of the FISDO and loosing licence. I note that in the LNM map my aircraft is showing …

I have just purchased Radar Contact 4.3, after downloaded i am having a "Run Time Error 75" Radar Contact.FSUIPC.RV4code after pressing the RUN button. Radar Contact then stops working not sure how to fix this any help would be much appreciated. Regards Terence.

Let me first stare that I first purchased Radar Contact in 2007 and I have recently rediscovered this wonderful program. It is still going strong after 16 years, and I now won't make any flight without it. I recently did a missed approach and among the options I was giving for the second attempt to land, there was no vectoring, only the IAP approach. Is this normal? Vectoring normally works at this airport (OBBI - has Departure and Approach). Best regards - shorthauler

Good day For the last 10 flights I've never gotten any vector again by RC4 and every time I captured the ILS, I got told "radar services terminated" and my copilot (from MultiCrewExperience) was no longer able to communicate with the ATC. This is getting quite annoying... No matter the size of the airport, I always ended up having to fly the full transition even though the airports feature full ILS A few examples: EDDH, EDDG, EPBY, EDNY, EDDK, LBSF, LHBP Is there any option I can enable to always get vectors to the ILS, since I bought RC4toXP mainly to get vectors while flying offline, please? Now I have to follow the full transition every time …

When I try to go to the RCv4 key generator when I try to click to generate a key I get Run time error 9 Subspricevery time I try to generate a key. How do I fix this?

Hi, I am reinstalling Radar Contact, I removed the voice files and went to replace them with the Meatwater ones, after completing the process and launching Radar Contact I get an error message saying voice folder 99 is missing. The program closed. I did a thorough search both on my computer and online couldn't find folder 99. In all my previous installations everything worked fine. I would appreciate some help. @RayProudfoot I hope you can easily answer this for me. My memory is lacking for the moment and I would like to know if I need to activate all of my airport sceneries (I use Lorby's Addon Manager) before I run makerunway.exe to update the database in Radar Contact 4.3 after adding a new airport? I seem to remember this is necessary as deactivated scenery will be skipped during the makerunway process. Please advise. Kindest regards, Glenn

HI all, Firstly I am a long time user of RC4. I also had it installed into P3dv5.3....then my SSD failed and as well as having to do a fresh install of Win 10, I also upgraded my pc. So now, when I try to install RC, I am being asked to point to my FSX exe. Now I know you have to try and fool it so I copied my P3D exe and renamed it to FSX in the p3d root folder which is on a separate drive to my OS. It goes through the motion of extracting the files and then stops to say that FSX exe is not found. After our recent move to Texas and using RC in P3Dv4.5, I have looked at all the different programs and have transferred to P3Dv5.4. I think it's great. Now, as always I leave installing RC for last. I've just finished reading through the Forum and it appears I should be able to upgrade it. Presently, I have RC installed for P3Dv4.5. I have gotten rid of all my 4.5 stuff although I still have RC and can easily open it. What am I looking forward to here, should I uninstall my 4.5 RC and do a fresh reinstall to my 5.4, or can I use stuff from the 4./5. Managed to have RC repaired and running OK - except there is no audio audible. This. following a W10 update two days back!!! I have had this issue previously https://www.avsim.com/forums/topic/623100-no-audiblle-rc-sound/?tab=comments#comment-4827536 however, following the previous instructions audible audio is still a non-eventy! At least on the previous occasion I could hear some chat but hardly audible even with speakers on 'max' and totally ususeable. Any other ideas? Ken 🤕.

After a (very) brief flirtation with X-Plane and returning to P3D where all my peripherals work perfectly I now find that my beloved Radar Contact has gone walk-about! After much 'faffing' I have what I believe/hope is a successful installation that just requires a 'key' to complete the process... The reference to not finding 'FSX.exe' seems to have gone away; I am running FSUIPC v6.12, W10, P3Dv5.3 and the frequently mentioned 'msstdfmt.dll' is present and correct. W10; P3Dv5+; Coincidence? I have just taken delivery of a Honeycomb A & B package ~~~ looks and feels great but certainly offers challenges in setting up! Ready to fly ~~~ P3D5 loaded; LNM viewed on sererate monitor; instruments ported-out to seperate screen; 'spot' view on a seperate big screen. I have always loaded/run RC4 then 'undocked' the atc-module down to the LNM screen...never failed me until now! Suddenly RC4, once it is undocked, looses focus and is hidden behind eitrher the instrument panel or LNM and I can't get it back into view! The only way I can see/read my flight instructions from RC4 is to have the atc-module visible on the …

Just finished moving halfway across the country and taking 18 months to build a new house. During that time, I turned 80, and I'm hoping that is not my main problem. During that time no P3D v5.3 or RC. Just purchased a new Jetline Systems PC and have gone back to P3d v4.5, as I had no luck installing RC into P3D v5.3. 4.5 is working great and today I tried to install RC. I have installed it and can open rc4X and it opens the green RC box and the encrypt box. It's always has worked before, but when I enter the codes from the encrypt box it looks like a previous box, says it has registered and tells me RC is running. Greetings, I am currently using FS2Crew voice channeled through my headset with all aircraft and other sim sounds through desk top speakers. Is there a way to channel RC4 into my headset with the other voices in P3DV5? Thanks.

Been using RC off and on since it’s inception. Been wanting to try this “No Dep Procedure” tab. Problem is I load my flight plan and then click on the “Controller Info” tab. Bottom hand left corner always shows the “Departures Procedure” box with “Alt Restrictions” auto selected. The only choice I ever have to select is “ No Alt Restrictions” as “No Dep Procedures” and “No Speed Restrict” is always greyed out. No matter what I do, “No Dep Procedures” and “No Speed Restrict” remain greyed out with no chance to select them. What gives? Mitch
