So I bought RC the other day and finally had a chance to get it loaded but ran into some problems. The first was the MSSTDFMT.dll problem which I resolved pretty quickly (thanks to all the other posters here). So I fire up RC, find a flight plan in this case (KVCB-KMRY). Just a kind of check out flight. I fly mainly the Baron 58. So I know that I'm at an uncontrolled field, so I select option 2 to get my weather brief from FSS (menu option 2) and the phone rings and weather comes through (Yeah I'm on my way). Call FSS for clearance (menu option 4) and clearance comes through. Now the weird part. I didn't have time to actually do the the flight due to work, so I shut down…

I have recently installed P3D v3 after many years with FSX. So far I am very pleased with the results. I have installed RC v4 as per the instructions provided in this forum and RC functions correctly with the exception of one issue. When I save a flight the usual files are created (*.rcd, *.wx) however both *.FSSAVE & *.flt files are missing and instead i have *.fxml files. When I load a saved flight RC tells me it cannot locate the *.flt file. From another post I read that you can change the file type to .flt and all will work, however in my case RC now tells me it cannot load the .flt file. I have the latest FSUIPC and makeRwys and have Win 10 Pro 64bit. Any…

100% Xplane user purchased and downloaded RC4toXplane yesterday also purchased the download file Radar Contact V4.3 which I can not RUN. Have tried for 24 hours now. I unzip the V4.3 it starts to download and then LOOKING FOR REGISTRY KEY FOR FS X NOT FOUND. What do I do from here? Would appreciate your help.

When trying to load saved flight plan I get run time error 5 . Anybody help please?

Just to edit this post, I'm not getting the runtime error 9 now. But, when I load a pln in RC (I'm already at the departure airport) and click to Start RC, it then transports me to the middle of the ocean off the West coast of Africa. Hello, I have owned RC4 for many years. It was off my computer for some time. I bought a new computer a while ago. A few days ago I sent a registration request to them. I have now sent a number of requests and have received no response. I tried both the registration email and the help email - no response. Are they still in business? - the web site says they are. I have been a Radar Contact user for years. For the past year or so, at busy airports in P3D V3 my landing clearance has often (very) opposite to AI Traffic using My Traffic Professional. Now with my migration to P3D V4, it still happens. Am I the only one and is there a solution? John

Is there a trick to get RealAtc files to work in RCv4? I try to copy them over in the right folder but they are never played.

Even though the dials are all set to ON and the squawk code is correct, it doesn't appear as though RC4 recognizes the transponder in the Alabeo M20R. What component does RC4 look at to determine if the transponder is available?

Good day. I've recently had to reinstall my OS and all sim peripherals. I've been a happy user of RCv4 for many, many years and have attempted to use the automated system but cannot receive a response with a new key. I've also checked my spam messages but no joy. I entered the correct email as stated on the application ([email protected]) as well as the correct subject (RCv4 Key Request) and my details (-1330xxx957!Eric!Grindstaff) but no key. I also sent an email to [email protected] (a couple of hours later) but have not as yet heard anything back. I'm hoping that Ray or someone else may be able to lend a hand? Hi folks. My old faithful finally expired and I now have an all singing and extremely irritating Windows 10 PC. My dislike of Win 10 is so great that I'm endeavouring to get the old XP machine running again. I'll probably have both machines running FS9 (no Cap'n Sim C-130 in Win 10. Not much of anything in Win 10 tbh). Hopefully without getting too sententious, I think if something is worth having, it's worth paying for it. I guess the original disc will do for both machines but do I need to make a new purchase or can I just obtain a new key for my new machine? Cheers, D

For some reason I can run it and get an error 75 while not running as admin, but when I run as admin I need a key. I thought for certain I had registered it. Even if I haven't, how do I get a new key?

Good afternoon, I've just replaced my 10 year old monitor with a new Full HD (1920x1080) Dell U2417H and it has transformed my Flt Sim experience. However, the Radar Contact Box (the one top left with the info/options) is now so small that my old eyes can't see it properly. Is there any way to increase the size of the box (specifically the letters) to make it easier to read, please?

Hello I bought a new copy of RC4 and installed it on Win 10 into the Lockheed P3DV4 directory. I completed the steps in the now closed topic using "regsvr32 /u msstdfmt.dll". The file is in syswow64. When I completed the process I received a "successful" message. i rebooted. RC4 splash screen starts successfully. When I attempt to load a flight plan the error message is "file not found". I started V4 and then attempted to run RC4 and received the same error 713 message. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks Don

I found this in a post here on the forum. I tried using these commands in Voice attack but I think I set them up incorrectly for example, when approaching the destination airport, I would request weather, and I would get tower instead. I use LittleNavMap for my flight plans. There is an update coming out and states that a rebuild might be necessary. It states, "This release adds support for Navigraph updates and includes a full AIRAC cycle including procedures, airspaces, navaids and more. Reloading the scenery databases is recommended". Is there anything I need to know before I do another scenery rebuild?

I'm pretty sure I'm doing something wrong or misunderstanding the instructions in RC4, but I'm trying to figure out if I want to use MCE to communicate with ATC instead of using the RC4 copilot how do I do that. I have two copilots, RC4 copilot and MCE copilot. For now I simply use MCE for gear and flaps. Should I just turn off MCE and use the copilot for RC4? If I want talk to ATC myself, I'm not quite sure how to set up MCE so I can do that. I for the most part fly a twin beechcraft and would like to try the radios myself. I've seen videos on YouTube of guys using RC4 and MCE and it works great.

I have been thinking of getting MCE (Multi Crew Experience) with a headset to try this stuff out. For anyone that has this setup..My style is to have the FO handle the coms (tuning radios and replying to ATC) the entire flight from cleared for takeoff. If I am running MCE can I hand over the comms to the FO and hear him talk to ATC in the Vox voice or will I hear the RC4 voice I assigned him or worse, both. Reason I ask is that if I am doing the voice communications with the FO like checklists and then I hear a different voice when he talks to ATC it will not be very realistic. This may be something I can live with but I am not sure at this point.Thanks

Just started using RC4 and Voice Attack and absolutely enjoying it. That being said, I have about a handful of VFR flights in. I do my flight plans in Little Nav map. Everything goes well until I get within 10 -15 miles of the airport and so far every time I get a vector from anywhere from 90-120 degrees away from the airport. Then I'm totally forgotten. The only way to get back towards the airport is to request a visual approach. Obviously your not supposed to do that unless the field is in sight but that's the only way to get turned around towards the airport. What am I doing wrong?

I have got RC4 up and ready to go, but when I go to rebuild scenery DB and type the path I get an error message. I'm using FSX:SE and this is the path I'm typing in: D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam. I also tried D:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\FSX. Where am I going wrong?

I am currently using PF3 but not real happy with it. Unable to use the GTN 750 with it, just was curious if the GTN 750 can be used in conjunction with Radar Contact 4. I have read some posts that have debated which is better PF3 or RC4 and many have said that RC4 may be somewhat easier to use versus PF3. Not here to start a debate, I'm looking at buying RC4 and try it and see which one I like better. I have developed a real liking to the GTN 750 and won't even consider purchasing another aircraft if it doesn't have GTN 750 integration. I only fly GA aircraft. No heavies. Would like to know if anyone can tell me how to get the GTN 750 to work with RC4 if possible. …
