How can I lower or equalize the vol. of RC3 & the default MS ATC. I have my MS ATC turned up fully but for some reason RC3 is much louder so I would like to equalize both programs. I know there are risks of missing RC3 transmissions but I can live with that. Thanks for the help!!

Every time I start FS2k2 I have to reset Adv Disp in my PSS Panel. It works fine during the session though. Any idea's?Thank you!Sam

Just completed my first flight with RC3 from KSTL-KDFW and am very impressed. Had a strange loss of control during the cruise where the a/c deviated from normal flight to the extreme ! Seemed a good time to call a full emergency and request divert to the nearest suitable airport, in this case KFSM RC3 handled this superbly I must say. Fortunately my control problems sorted themselves out ( POSky B763 with PIC panel ) and a normal ILS landing was uneventfull. One question though re RC3 - I have the 'chatter' set to max, but didn't hear a thing apart from a couple of other a/c I was vectored away from. Surely I should be hearing more ? Let me start off by stating that RCv3 is terrific!! In getting to know the program, I have been trying different things. The last procedure that I tried was to change designation during flight. What happened was that I had put KSFO as an alternative in the controllers options.....When I asked to change designation during flight, a miniture FMS popped up and when I tried to get rid of it, the simulator minimized...? In other words, I couldn't get the program to do what it was supposed to do. Does anybody know about this?Paul

If I have a flight plan that takes me from the departure airport to the landing airport and do not use flex DP ( no SID included) am I correct to assume that departure will not issue me any heading information after take off?2. Despite pushing the tab up on the "vectors for traffic" I have never had one yet. Is this typical?3.I have no luck in getting ATC to repeat instructions using the default key strokes in RC 3.4. Recent flight KLAS to KLAX gave me vectors that got me to the glideslope at 4,000 feet 15+ miles out, but It did not get me heading toward the runway until 1 mile from airport so I could not line up and land. I could not get RC3 to work with Iron knuckle DC9, but with DF B737 it worked verry good.:) I was flying from ESGG to ESSA and when I recived clearens from ground I didnt get Pushback & Start as an option just ground for taxi.What is the setting that decide if an airport offers pushback or not?Another question regarding taxi clearens, I just got "taxi to RWY 03" not a via "HZ Z A" and when taxing no "hold for traffic" when AI aircraft is crossing your path on taxiway?Regards,Johan (JD);-)

Hi all,I see that New Zealand was ommited from Radar Contact (although it is only 2000nm from our cousins in Australia).Is it possiable to add user created ATC wave files for countries that are not supported (only generic)?Also the call sign for Air New Zealand is "New Zealand" not "Air New Zealand".One of the pitfalls of being a small country at the bottom of the world.... :-(CheersJulian

Well this time I flew from CYUL to CYYZ. I wanted to practice a hold, so I set the holding probability at 100%. Well, I was offered delay vectors or a holding pattern. I took the pattern naturally. Got my instruction to set up for my hold. Shortly, the controller blurted out some instructions about a hold at (?) YYZ. Although I obviously missed the part about holding at 'x' distance from YYZ, I got the part about maintaining 17000 in the hold and the heading to fly. In retrospect this quick instruction added realism, telling me that I had better listen up! Anyway, soon after that I (my pilot voice) said "entering the hold". I have the new version installed and running OK, after a problem with FSUIPC, for some reason it had disappeared, I wonder if it had been removed with the uninstall of RC2.2 ??. I uninstalled version 2 after installing V3. I did have a problem with the slow voices but after making RC a high priority that was corrected. I run a 450 AMD WinXP Blaster Live.I am planning to network an older machine to run RC and FSMeteo which I find drags my machine really down.All I have to do now is to get out of the Cessna and into the heavy stuff :)Good work

Hi all, I am finding thAT WHENEVER i am cleared to an altitude to intercept the localizer it is always around 4000'. is this not a little high as it means u will have to intercept the glideslope from above it-not below it as is supposed to be done as I understand procedures. with the FS2002 default ATC at least they always give u an altitude that allows u to intercept the glideslope from below- which is the correct prodeure??

I have used RC several times and everything seems great.If I am flying a flight plan will RC tell me to change course per flight plan as FSATC does?I know copilot automatically follows the course but if I am flying when I hit a waypoint where a change of heading is required and I don't turn will rc tell me to change course?It seems that if you stay on course RC doesn't tell you anything whereas in FSATC I think if you turn before ATC tells you to you are told to get back on course.Thanks,Ron

Well, I just got it today actually and did my first flight from CYHZ to CYUL. I must say I am thoroughly impressed. It worked flawlessly through all phases of flight. I kept it simple for this first flight, just requesting the occasional alt change and deviation for weather.Tomorrow I get into the thick of it! I'm gonna try holding patterns - this is what I've been waiting for for some time.Also, I'm gonna look into getting FSATC to more completely integrate with RCATC. I got a bit confused when trying to get taxi instructions to the active. I must have been pressing wrong buttons or had it configured wrong. Well, tried to do a flight from DFW to TUL today in an American Eagle ATR 42, everything worked okay, until after takeoff and was told to go to departure. Never could get it to go over. I couldn't manually tune radio #1, I had MS ATC on radio #2 and it still didn't work. I handed over comms to Otto, and she just sat there like a bump on a log. Eventually after the 5th time of hearing control tell me to go to departure I couldn't take it any longer and had to reset. Anyone else have problems with RC and Eurowings? For those of you who have Sound Blaster Live cards please follow these steps to properly adjust the # of simultaneous wav files allowed to play.1. Bring up the Creative Launcher by hovering your mouse near the top of your screen. 2. Find the selection that says HQ Audio and click on it.3. You will be shown a screen with a slider bar showing the amount of wavs allowed to play simultaneously.4. You should bump this up several notches. For some reason Creative Labs sets this at a low number as its default. 5. There is no one number that is perfect. Has anyone tried to use a speech processor with Radar Contact v3?I am trying to use Voice Master Pro & Radar Contact v3 on the same networked PC along with AdvDis, Weather Center Expert, and FSRealtime. I'm not sure if Voice Master Pro has hooks into WideFS client or RCv3. Thanks for any suggestions. :-)
