Hi all,Recently I changed my weather generator to ActiveSky. I am now experiencing a problem I didint with FSMeteo. Most often it occurs while climbing. The controller will come on and say "Delta so and so, Altimeter 29.87". As soon as he's done, he'll come right back on and and give a new reading. This rapid fire delivery will repeat 7-8 times until it obviously quits at Flight level 180. Every reading the controller gives is different and is presumably being cuased by ActiveSky changing the weather. It has occured on nearly 80% of the flights while using ActiveSky. And while RC is right in informing me of the change, this is getting quite rediculous and is very unrealis…

Dear Scott Campbell,I wonder when your new ACLoader 4.0 will be ready. I just had a look about it at your WebSite and was very pleased what all will be changed and be better then the latest version now.More so I wonder if you will include the oportunity to place PAX on two, three and fore or five rows of seats. In the current version all Pax are located in one row, no Z-axe variation.Well, I realy love your ACLoader a lot. It is better then about all other loader which comes with some of the payware aircrafts.CiaoTorben.

On about half of all my flights I'm told to go around when I'm on short final. The reason, the controller tells me is that my gear is not down, just before he chucks me back to approach. However, my gear is ALWAYS down and locked. Is there a feature that automatically initiates a go around on a random number of flights, or is this a bug? Thanks for any helpPhil

Hello All...I had just completed a txt book departure ;) from MUHA & had settled into the climb when DING! RC crashes with "runtime error 6" :-(Much cursing followed....Then I noticed WideFS was reporting "Waiting for connection"...The FS pc is under the table next to my feet & I had trod on the patch lead & pulled it out of the NIC card! :-roll :-lolRather than risk a visit from MrBill for "FUI" (Flying Under the Infulence) last night I saved a flight so I could finish it (sober)today. My question is, when I load that flight back into RC, can I then change the time in FS before continuing?

I did a flight today from KBUF to KBOS. Leaving KBUF via rwy 23, I finally got handed off to center after 15 minutes or so who promptly asked if I was a little off course and then routed me back. That was okay.Upon arriving at KBOS, I was vectored to 33L. Just before touching down, tower said to go around. 15 minutes or so later, I was about to touch down and then was told to go around again. What criteria is RC3 using to determine that I should go around? There were AI aircraft h/s at the rwy, however, the rwy was clear of any traffic.-- Scotte

Hi,I have just started to use RC and I have been able to fly under RC control from standard airport to standard airport with a perfect record as confirmed by flight critique at the end. One flight, however, appears impossible: From Kufstein / Austria (LOIK) to St.Johann / Austria (LOIJ). First, I am directed to a runway 18 which does not exist and then I am being directed at 4000 ft right into the mountains. On this flight, I do not have a menu item "request different altitude" and any attempt to gain height results in a harsh admonishment from the controller to stick to the suicidal 4000 ft level. I assembled the flight plan in FSNav and exported it to RC. FSNav stubborn…

Merry Christmas.I just received RC v.3 and successfully installed it on my main computer using WinXP containing FS2002. No problems, works fine here. I noticed in the manual that you can load RC on a second computer running WideFS (which I already use and have set up) by either installing RC on the second computer or copying over the files from the first computer. Since my main computer is slow by today's standards and I'd like to run RC from the second computer. During the attempted install on the second computer however, I get an immediate "I/O Error 31", which terminated the install. So I tried copying the files to the second computer, but when I run RC I get a message…

Hi Guys,First I'd like to thank JD and the whole team for RCV3, and a thanks to Bruce for his bat file solution to the stilted speech. It works just great.I've been trying out RCV3 with a simple flight using a previous plan from RC22. Everything works just fine, except that I can't contact Otto via CS-K, or CS-M.CS-P gives me the detailed flght plan, so the CS combo seems to work.I'm using the same setup I've always used with RC22, during dozens of flights, so I am at a total loss.Could someone help, please?Regards, Jim H.

Ok, I'm gonna submit my entry for the longest wait for delivery ofthe cd. jd assured me that it had been shipped and I waited, and I waited.Guess what finally arrived yesterday. Yep. And it was postmarked November 29.Almost a month. Lost in the Canada Customsor Canada Post vortex. Gotta laugh when I remember a message fromDan CYXC saying he was "FREAK'IN DYING" waiting for his cd.Last night I pop in the cd and do the install. Then, oh yeah, gotta get a registration key. So I fire off a message requestinga key. I no sooner hit the send key (just before midnight onChristmas Eve) when it hits me. DOH!! I've waited this long surelyI can wait a few more days. These guys deserve…

RC3 hasn't given me any major problems that weren't easy to remedy. But, I can't get a plan of my own to work at all, which pretty much renders RC3 unuseable after you fly the tutorials.I started using SPF, but I can't figure out how to export a plan to use with FS2002. The option just isn't there. So, I tried to go with NAV3.0, since the RC manual lays out how to use it. But, I can't get NAV3 to load the airports from the .bgl files. I've got all the fixes to work, but not the airports. When I load in the tutorial flights into NAV 3.0, those airports show up. But, I can't get it to "Add" any airports I select. They aren't in the scenery. If searched all .bgl files…

setting up RCv.3 on my second computer. :-yellow1 I'd also like to have FSFlightMax set up on the second computer. Can anyone tell me how they did this - how to copy files over and the right paths to get everything (FS, RC v.3, FlightMax) to interact properly. Thanks in advance, Adam

Merry Xmas everyone:)Need some advise on using Notam'sI was flying into KDEN with the Notam checked when flight plan loaded into RCV3.Prior to arriving at Denver I was advised to decend to 15000 if feasible which I understand.Co-Pilot advised we were leaving to get the weather and was advised that rwy 25 was the active winds 230@10 makes sense. After that transmission a selection popped up as follows change destination which I ignored as I had intended to land at Denver.I was never given any other instructions after this but could have selected cancel IFR but did not.It was evident that I was not going to be vectored into rwy 25 so I set up fsnav and landed without a hitch…

Should yopu want to admire your wonderful landing on instant replay, you might get a "go-around" from tower. Since you already landed, when you come back to reality and get your critique, you will also get a vist from "Mister Bill" Pride will get you every time!! Love this program! Merry Christmas to all.Bill GustafsonKSAT (the Alamo City)

Merry Christmas everyone.RCv3, is just fantastic a brilliant job, but I had a problem on finals yesterday.I was lined up on a vectored ILS to runway 14 at Anchorage and had already called visual with the field. It was night with good vis and at about 1.5 miles out I saw a Cessna pull onto the runway and start its take off roll.I pulled my Alaska 737 into a go around and expected RC to give me the missed approach option. It never came. I was 5 miles down wind climbing away when RC finally told me to 'go around' as it had noticed my gear was up on short final. It was up by then, but I was ok on my final approach. Still RC refused to give me any vectors or missed approach back…

I'm trying to create flight plans with SFP 2.81. On the main RCV3 window, it doesn't show the STAR. Will ATC recognize the STAR if it isn't listed on the main window in the plan box? If not, any ideas on how to get RCV3 to recognize a STAR in an SPF adventure? Am I doing something wrong here?"A girl and her plane...It's a beautiful thing."

I have posted a similiar message as a string under Post 806, but I thought some novice like me might be having the same problem. My problem was a "disappearing ADV gauge" and problems in shutting down RCV3 after I closed FS2002. (Windows XP OS) Kept getting the perverbial " send message to Microsoft for some reason". Found my solution in Peter Dowson's docs for the recent 2.95 FSUIPC release. Maybe it was in the earlier ones but he suggested using Jose Oliveria's editing Run Options program in this one revised in November to include a close option for this which I did. A simple eidt of the FSUIPC.ini in the modules section of FS2002 in notepad will also do the trick.I ad…

Well, now, everytime I try and start RC, I get a message that says, "IPC request contains bad data." And no setting changes seem to make a difference. RC simply won't start.Any help would be great. "A girl and her plane...It's a beautiful thing."

Not used this feature much. What does OTTO do for you when she's got the plane? Manual says you have to have autopilot in heading and altitude mode. I saw another post that co-pilot always sets nav radios. What does OTTO have to do if the autopilot is flying the plane and the pilot is setting nav radios?
