I need some help troubleshooting a problem I'm having with RC3 installed on a client PC and linked via the current version of WideFS.Everything works fine until about 30-40 min into the flight when the client PC goes blank - the video is completely off and cannot be restored. The PC requires a hard restart to recover.The client PC is a 1.0Ghz P3 with a Radeon 8500 AIW and 100Mbit NIC. WideFS is running in IP mode. I'm using FSUIPC 2.95 and WideFS 5.3. Both machines use XP Pro. The UI aircraft is a POSKY 762 with PIC. I have a large quantity of AI and listen to MS ATC in the background.While I'm not currently using this client for WidevieW, it runs completely stable …

Hello folks out there im wondering if can use the co-pilot in PIC or Dreamfleet, i have had no luck in this, somwhere i heard you cannot.and if that is true does that mean that i half to moniter the plane all the way and the co-pilot handles just the comm.in other words if i tell the co-pilot that it is your plane, and the co-pilot say go it, thr co-pilot does not really have it.thanks..........Camtech

I'm aware of the posts regarding the difficulties for interfacing with FS2K2 AI for ground and some enroute operations. So let me make a suggestion.I've never done the VATSIM or similar operation, but can a VA create traffic enroute and on the ground? If so, can RC be designed to use a similar procedure as a VA and create its own traffic in both environments assuming a setup dialog can let the user enter the models on the local machine and density to be used so RC can be aware of the local livery? I would assume the on-line interface can be emulated on the local machine (via IP loop-back address 127.0.0.1) so using an appropriate utility such as WideFS might be applicable…

Hi friends.Yesterday LEMD approach gave me 109.90 for Rwy 36R at LEMD.After that obviously missed my approach and requested vectors for second attempt; later checked FSNav map and discovered that correct ILS freq for Rwy 36R at LEMD is 110.30 Mhz.Needless to say second attempt went just fine and landed at LEMD (Madrid Barajas 2002 D. Jimenez).How can this happen? Can i somehow edit nav frequencies in RCv3?Thanks for helpingLuigi ;-)

Dear all,Following my recent post I have got Showtext to work on my RC Client (laptop), however, I cannot get rid of the adv text in my main window. I can close down adv display on the main computer but the annoying green shaded text lines till keeps appearing at the top of the screen. I have turned off ATC text etc in options/settings and have clicked on ATIS messages. However, RC text comes onto the second PC no problems but also in this scrolling bar at the top of my servers main window.Does anyone have any suggestions?Many thanksClowesy

I tried to change destination on a flight and I pressed option 3 (change destination) and the little yellow box appeared for about 1 millisecond then disappeared. I could not bring it back up and hence could not make a destination change. I did put my alternate destination in the controller page before starting RC. Any ideas?Thanks, Adam

I've been doing holds and tonight for the first time the controller did not give me a choice of a pattern or delay vectors. He just gave delay vectors. Is this a random thing or is there some way to specify this ie the placement of waypoints or something. I was a tad disappointed :-( as I just mastered setting up DreamFleet's FMC to set a fix and hold. I flew for over an hour and was getting ready to program my FMC for the hold and then was just given delay vectors - no choice to "do it on our own".Thanks, Adam

Hi, folks-I'm a new RC user and absolutely love this product. The only (significant) problem I'm having is with the go-around bug- I'm told to go around when I'm on short final almost all the time. I know this has been noted before, but the circumstances there were Windows XP and RC running in real time due to the slow speech behavior. I want to add that I'm running Windows XP and RC as only high to get around the slow speech behavior and still getting constant go-arounds. At first I thought these problems were the result of the newest FSUIPC, but I found that un-checking AdvDisplay in the Modules menu causes the problems to cease. With AdvDisplay checked, each time I change view, visibility defaults to my max setting (graduated in FSUIPC from 0 to 15000 Ft with max at 70 miles) and then in the space of one second or less, it lowers to the minimum I have set for that flight. Values also remain unstable. If I set 10 miles minimum at ground level then start flight, min value will change to 20 or even 30 just during taxi. Max visibility Altitude in the weather menu is also unstable, changing from 0 to 10,000 or 100,000 Ft at random. …

RC3 is the best add-on ever! Can't fly without it now!Now,- is there a way to manually toggle Advdisp between the Menu page and the communication text diplay? Today I was flying a repaint of the default 734 at FL370 and, all of a sudden, ATC started repeatedly saying I should maintain 370 and saying I've busted my altitude. This went on for about 10 minutes, even though I was at 370, my altimiter was set to 29.92, and I responded each time I was contacted. They didn't stop until I was directed to desend to my arrival airport. Another thing I noticed is that the simulator altimiter setting is almost never the same as the Radar contact altimeter. Radar Contact was telling me altimeter should be 30.72 when in actuality it should have been something like 29.79. Is this just the way it works, if so I would have been off a few …

Hi friends,every time i start a new flight or before landing, when asking for Wx report, visibility is always "6"!!!!!!!!In FSMeteo Metar Decoder Visibility is 9999 both in local and destination data (strange isn't it?)What does this means?All other data are correct, clouds layers, wind, QNH, Temperature, Dew Point. Only visibility is sticked at "6". But, what does "6" means???FSMeteo v5.2 and FSUIPC v2.95 here; i deleted both FSUIPC.ini and FSMeteo.ini and restarted FS2K2 but had no luck at all :-(At this point i really don't know what to do.Can any kind soul PLEASE help me?Thanks in advance

Hi all,Just got RCV3 installed it, setting up my first flight plan via Nav 3 from EGLL TO EGNT I have not used the offered SID/STARS in Nav as i fly the PSS Airbus which has lots of S/S in the FMC. Question can i choose one of these and fly it then will RCV3 take over the ATC at the end of the SID ? Any help welcome waiting to start at the Ramp!CheersRB211

Are there any links out there to hear what the air traffic and controller sounds like with the faster speech. I am considering purchasing this product, but did not care for the slower speed I listed to on a previous download that was "normal" speed. Thanks

Hello!I have a problem with the weather in RCv3. I load the weather within FS2002 and get the correct departure weather. But when I arrive, the arrival weather is the same as the departure weather. When I try to descend and reset the altimeter with the b key, it switches to the altimeter of my departure airport. And the weather on the arrival ATIS is exactly similar to that of the departure ATIS.I try to update the weather in the middle of the flight, and before the approach, but to no avail.Can anyone please assist me with this problem?I purchased RCv3 thinking that it was the most detailed standalone ATC program available for FS2002, and I agreed up until I started the …

is there anyone with this sound card? i need some help with a guy who can't get the sound working, even though he has the latest driver.

How do I "hide" or disable the Adventure Text Display when not using RC3? It loads along with FS2k2, and though I can move and dock it, I can't hide or turn it off. I've tried to right click, to no avail. Thanks for your help. BTW, I've looked over the manual.
