HiUfortunately I only have an onboard AC97 sound card (Mainboard is Epox 8K5A3+; VIA KT333)I consider buying RC3 and I just want to make sure.Any help is appreciated. One question:Is the AI (not ATC) Traffic of FS2002 the same, so e.g. If I use Project AI or FSTraffic2002, will the traffic change in yours? And is the AI Traffic that surrounds my aircraft also using RC-ATC or is this handled thru the FS2002-ATC.

I recently conducted a flight from Atlanta to Dallas Fort-Worth. During the flight, I requested to step from my original cruise altitude of FL350 to FL390. The request was granted, however, I later noticed I could no longer request DIRECT to any navaid in my flight plan (i.e. the menu option was no longer available to me). The DIRECT Navaid option was available from the menu earlier in the flight, but disappeared permanently after the step climb. I can't say if the two events are related, but I am curious as to what conditions might arise that would prevent this option from being made available to me while enroute. Thanks,J

1/Is RC3 supposed to take 2.5 hours to install? 2/I cannot get any ATC sound. The only sound i do get is Wx. Occasionally if I maximise RC3 whilst running FS2002 I get some sound.Naturally I have messed around with the sound Sliders. My System is PIII 500, 256 memory,3dfx Voodoo 5500,SB4.1 and runs FS2002 lets say adequately. Any Ideas?

I'm new to Radar Contact and experiencing two problems. The first is after I've loaded FS2002 and I'm ready to downsize it in order to start RC3, the screen goes black and I have to hit ctrl/alt/del to make it downsize. Is this normal? The second problem happens after I shut down FS2002. RC3 won't respond when I hit "close". I get the message to alert Microsoft but deny that. Then it eventually closes.Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong? Thanks for your help.

I have uploaded a file called custom_adv_panels.zip that contains eight of the FS2002 default aircraft panels that have been customized to provide a permanent resting place for the ADV.dll and MiniCP.dll. It also includes the MiniCP text files and software that goes with it for those that have not downloaded it. The aircraft that are included are the b777_300, b737_400, b777_300, King Air 350, C208, Lear 45, Mooney Bravo, and Beech Barron. Instructions for installing both are included. Here is a screenshot of the 747 panel.http://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e2061026a8dd63b.jpghttp://ftp.avsim.com/dcforum/User_files/3e1e2c6601f93f28.jpgDon Whitfield

How and when the Debug on the main input screen is used? Today I introduced the RCv3 on the Japanese FS net. This may be the first time that the RCv3 is refered to the japanese simmers. I got good responses. But most of them are wavering in installing the RC because of English manuals. I am also poor in English, but I'd like to explain this outstanding work to my circleas possible as I can.

Hi All, This was posted on the Aerowinx PS1 Forum (Germany). This was in reference to an actual incident. Posted By: Olivier Debuyck (EBOS) Date: Wednesday, 8 January 2003, at 8:30 p.m. That was a Northwest plane... The plane was cleared to descend pretty early by Maastricht Control (132.205)... As it was below FL240 above Belgian airspace it got handed over to Brussels Center (131.100) who gave them vectors for RWY25 (in EBBR that is, but EDDF has the same runways :D that's the (un)funny part about this). When the pilots couldn't find their waypoints, they just asked vectors to those waypoints. The pilots didn't notice a thing, neither did the controller... When ha…

Hello, I've just installed RCV3 on my networked 200MHz Pentium Pro computer and was very pleasantly surprised how much more natural the RC sounds were. Very different than when RCV3 was on my 2.53 GHz machine. Both FS2002 and RCV3 are set up to run in default mode, ie, no changes to the default startup properties on either of these two networked machines. It seems that the 2.53GHz machine processed the sound files so quickly that the spaces between utterances became much more evident than when RCV3 was run on the 200MHz machine. Now, finally, I can enjoy the ATC directives in an almost natural human voice form. Like I said a very pleasant surprise for I didn't…

"The enroute phase is the moment when RC3 absolutely trashes, outclasses, buries and generally forces the FS2002 ATC to eat its dust.""There just isn't anything out there to touch it, especially where FS2002 is concerned."Congrats to the RC crew on the sterling review by Flightsim.com's Andrew Herd! Hi,Prior to the release of RC3, I distinctly remember getting an update for FS Meteo that supposedly contained some code to somehow support RC3. Can you please shed some light on the relationship between FS Meteo and RC3?The reason I ask is that, although I'm fairly satisfied with FS Meteo, ActiveSky wxRE seems to have some interesting features that I wouldn't mind trying out. But if I'll loose anything crucial in relation to RC3 by dumping FS Meteo, I'll save my money.

Hi All, I've recently started using RCV3 (it was a Christmas present) and prefer to acknowledge messages personally rather than automatically. I find that if RCV3 tells me something and a chatter file gets in before I have a chance to reply, the controller will not wait until the channel is clear before 'timing me out' but may immediately repeat the command as soon as the chatter file finishes. Surely the timer should be held off until the channel is clear and I have a chance to acknowledge it? Thanks for an interesting add-on.Colin Begg

  14. Hi' Having got FS2002 for Xmas recently, I was delighted to see the built in ATC. However, I soon realized its limitations. Then I saw RC3 come out and it certainly caught my attention. As a former Proflight 2000 user within FS2000, I have some questions about RC3 before getting it- just to be sure.1. Are there regional accents as one flies across various countries?2. Can RC3 generate weather( like PF2000)?3.Does it conflict with the default ATC, or is an adventure flown separately? In which case, what happens to FS2K2's ATC?4. Does RC have a virtual co-pilot to take care of inflight frequency changes, so I can focus on the flying?Your input would appreciated.Eytan Ornste…

I have been using RC3 for a while now, and I am very pleased with it. A few issues I have:1. I am told to contact arrivals, who answer as approach (or it might be the other way round (I am not claiming this is a big problem!!)2. I am always final, No 2. Is this fixed?3. Now the one that confuses me. A couple of time on descent to FL100, when reaching about 110 I heard the controller say "on reaching FL010 tuen heading 245" (or whatever). Now I understood this to mean descend to FL010 and *then* turn on to course, but I get chewed out almost straight away for not turning. Whats happening here - am I hearing it wrong?ThanksGary

These screenshots are of two FS2002 panels that have been modified to have a permanant "resting place" for the ADV.dll and a MinCP activation file. I, like many others who have posted, do not like having to reconfigure the adv file over existing panels every time I boot an aircraft in FS2002.The first is the default FS2002 Boeing 777 panel customized with permanant resting spots as described above for the ADV.dll and MiniCP activation file. You can download this panel at AVSIM.com. The zip file is "custom_panel_777.zip". It contains the panel as well as the MiniCP software licensed for download and the text file that is neccessary to use the MiniCp as shown in the screen…

HelloFirst of all I would like to thank the Radar Contact Team for this wonderful program. I love it !When I fly these days over Europe with heavy upperwinds (50-80Kts, sometimes across) it happens that the FMC of PIC 767 turns to the next waypoint, but Radar Contact was not able to capture it.Questions:1. Am I expected to make a u-turn to intercept the waypoint RC missed and then continue with LNAV ?2. Or is there another way out to this problem ?Thanks a lot and kind regardsKurt

So i ask:1) when planning a flight in FSNav v4.51 do i must insert last checkpoint as close as possible to arrival airport as i was use to do in RCv2?2) how should i plan and fly a STAR? I know there is an option for Flex. Departure Procedure under Controller Info but can see anything concerning standard arrival...Should i be able to fly/RCv3 will be aware of a STAR until the localizer-ILS? Or a STAR doesn't a…

    2. The Target entry determines how Radar Contact will start. Copy and Paste one of the following entries over the existing one amending the path to RCV3.EXE as necessary.%comspec% /C "start /ABOVENORMAL E:RadarContact3rcv3.exe" ok I do as presented and when I press apply I get this warning,"A file command cannot cantain the following Characters" Then it shows several characters. Ok, what should I do? Every time I click ok at the bottom of properties this pops up?The BugmanJackson, Tennesseehttp://jdtllc.com/images/RCsupporter.jpg
