In RCv2.2 it was possible to download different voice sets for ones co-pilot, although one then had to manually replace the current set installed. Is this still possible, or will it be, in RCv3, as I can't seem to find any reference to it in the manual / FAQ?Great programme though !:-kewl Stuart Hyett

I was flying tonight from ATL to JAX was at fl 270 with DreamFleets 737 in lnav and vnav and was told by Atl Center to reduce speed to 250 knots 4 times while at crz alt of 270.I was hoping someone has a answer to why this is happening?I was at cruise mach of .74 at the time of the calls. JeffG

For some reason, Otto takes the controls, but won't fly the plane. When departure or center gives a new altitude, Otto doesn't put the new setting in the auto-pilot. Any ideas why?Also- suggestions for future editions- I really appreciated that on the MSFS ATC, you could set the pilot's voice for female. On RCv3, the girl is stuck in the co-pilot's seat. I've just tried my first trans atlantic flight with version 3.I thought I'd re-create the Airport (film) flight of a 707 from Newark to Rome.I have the HJG 707 and Paul Goldings panel, I also ran Lago's FSMaint program for good measure.My problems are three fold:1. Although I set my aircraft type as heavy, I couldn't find the option to ask for 250Kt relief on the menu's once RC started. I found the correct menu, but no option. Why?2. Flying with OTTO FSMaint reported an incorrect altimeter setting during the cruise. Is this normal with OTTO and older panels/aircraft?. (The gauge did show that the pressure wasn't set to 29.92, but OTTO refused to set it correctly.)3.…

Since I used the command to speed up the speech, I like the improvement of the pace of the program. However I find now I can't use S-Combo any more. The computor freezes just as my PSS Airbus or PSS 747 starts to roll on takeoff. I hear "airspeed active" and the computer freezes.I used S-Combo all the time before I changed the RC settings. Is this just overload on the CPU or did I change the wav settings on S-Combo?If I takeoff without S_Combo everything is fine. I can even pause the program and load S-Combo after I take off and no problems. In previous RC forum items the program Flight Deck Companion is mentioned. Does this work? RC3 and S-Combo associated with the newly released VMAX 'Ready for Pushback' both use the AdvDisp feature. It doesn't look like there is a way for both to share AdvDisp. The solution so far has been to print a hard copy of the perfomance speeds S-Combo uses thus allowing RC3 unchallenged use. I'm looking for a different solution that would allow both to function within AdvDisp, or any other ideas ?

Hi All,Just wondering if RC can use only key strokes to control it or must one use the nested menus. I was using ProFlight 2K and that allowed me to communicate with ATC via voice commands and requests to the various facilities because it does not use a menu system. It added much to the realism factor in that spoken requests would cause responses from the various facilities. This is nearly impossible to map in the default ATC with FS2K2 because of the ever shifting menu selections dependent on different conditions. Just wondering if RC can be mapped to key strokes or are you locked into the menus?Thank you in advance for your help,Tom

Just a general question. Can the RC3 ATC understand and translate airport ico?? If I go from KLAX to KSFO, can it say the cities instead of individaul letters????Bill M

After I installed RC, I started having problems with the roll-over boxes that show what instruments are and their readings when you put your mouse over them. The boxes disappear before I can read them. I'm not sure that RC had anything to do with this, but does anyone know how to fix it so the boxes stay up longer?Thanks,Persephone

Ok,I made my new voice but now I need to trim the wav files has decribed in the readme but I'm still not sure how. I downloaded the evaluation version of Cooledit but cannot figure out how to do it properly.Is this a tedious process where every single wav file has to be done individually, or is there a wav to auto do them all?And, whats the proper way to trim these guys?Thanks,Mike

I'm currently flying CYYC-KDFW and my initial waypoints were YYC and DARWN.I departed rwy 16 and thus heading towards DARWN and away from YYC. RC3 didn't pick up the fact that I don't need to go back to YYC to continue my flightplan. I requested direct DARWN, but was told to ask again later and queried why I was off my flightplan and to change heading to 360 to head back to YYC (20nm from present position).I think the correct behaviour would have been to mark YYC as being visited after takeoff once it was noticed I was getting further away from YYC and closer to DARWN.-- Scotte

I was considering purchasing RCv3 and was wondering can AI still be used? What happens to the internal ATC? Does the FS02 flight planner work well with RC? I am sure this is all in the manual but I am trying to get a few quck answers before I decide to purchase. Thanks Andrew

I've tried your solution for XP to speed up the voices. And there was some improvment, but It should be better for for I paid for this product and how great you advertise this product over FS ATC. I just recently installed RC and been getting familair by flying the tutorials many times. But the ATC sounds like robots on crack. There's no fluid flow of sentences. Hey there!The Discovery channel had a show called 'business jets' (or some such) that had a Citation being flown from Des Moines to Chicago Midway, Chicago Midway to Lowell (Chattanooga), and then Lowell back to Des Moines. I thought this was kinda neat, so I set up RC3 to fly the same thing using the Lear.Everything was OK until the last leg. Using the high altitude airways (I was going to FL390), there is a nasty right-hand turn from the J39 to the J45 airway. By nasty, I mean about 90-95 degrees!To recreate, use the MS Flight planner to set up KCHA-KDSM using high altitude airways.So, here's the question. I have installed and registered RC 3 as i have been a loyal RC2 user. It seems though thatI have done everything correct:I have created a flight plan (in both Nav3 exported to FS 2002 under myflights) and Fs 2002 flight plan.Started fs 2002Loaded the plan into FS 2002 plannerStarted Radar Contact and loaded the planAt the Departing Airport the Com does not change to Weather Briefing when I press 1 as indicated. I have to manually set it and then I press 2 for clearance, nothing happens even when i manually set the CD.Can anybody tell me what I'm doing wrong?Thanks

Ok perhaps I'm getting a little ignorant here but I want to make my own voices and also add local chatter files for the Cincinnati area but I cannot find a tutorial or any information on how to do so. Oh dear, I've got my copy of the RC3 today and, yes, it is great. However I have a suggestion to do for better supporting SID/STARs without having to do a lot of programming. I fly the PSS Aibus series in FS 2002. I have tried RC on a few flights and continue to run into some frustrations, I clearly seem to be in the minority. These are all IFR flights.1. I use Game Commander to pull up all the windows, FMC etc on the Airbus. Much more effective than trying to remember all those keyboard commands. I even used it with FS 2002 ATC with no problem.Worked very will with PF 2000. With RC 3 the wav files are so loud that they cause alot of spurious commands to occur with Game Cpommander, so I cannot use it. Even when I max out all the other sounds in FS2002 they are so faint compared to RC 3, that when I cut back on the volume to stop spurious comma…

As a new user to RC, so far I am very happy with this product. At KSFO, the pre-recorded chatter was specific for that airport and really enhanced the flight. The only problem I am having is with single runway airports (KSAN for example) dealing with A.I. aircraft apparently being cleared for take-off by FSATC just as I am told to taxi into position and hold by RC. this has happened a couple of times already. In Multi-runway airports, I simply request a parallel runway to the FS active. I also choose a parallel or different runway for landings. What should I do about these incursions at KSAN or similar airports. I don't feel having to monitor FSATC is very realistic, and …
