HiJust finished my first tutorial flight using RC three. Being a long time user it all came back.The only question I have is do I have to use the in house ATC system? By this I mean that when I am assigned to a runway that is the same as the in house ATC do I have to contact it as well to get clearance to take off, as in the manual, or can I just rely on RC to keep me clear of all traffic.I like to use the in house ATIS to hear the active runway and then change RC to use it if it is not. After this I just use RC.CheersKarl

I FINALLY managed to get my network up and running after a week of cursing by replacing one of the Linksys cards for an HP card which worked......dont ask me why...I am much in the dark as anyone else :)There was nothing wrong with the Linksys card it worked OK in the ME computer.But still couldnt get WideFS to work.....after more hair pulling...I found that my ME machine could not read the Proram Files folder even though I THINK I have the shared settings correct. I got around it by reloading the FS2002 outside Program files. It now works ok.One thing, (totally new to this network thing) should I be able to start RC which resides on the client computer from the computer …

Hi guys; RC3 is woking great on my machine, and it really makes flying in FS2002 more realistic. Good job! :)I have a suggestion/question. Maybe in an update or the next version, you could have an autosave feature configurable for time between saves. Pete Dowson has one that saves the FS flight automatically, but of course it doesn't save the RC3 state. I don't know what would be involved in doing this, but I thought I would throw this out for thought. It would really help those of us who have the dreaded FS2002 lockup which always seems to happen when 95% of the flight is done. :-doh This would really be a help on those long flights where you have Otto fly and can't do m…

Hello JDSince I last posted about ATC on crack, I've been experimenting with the priorities with RC30. Instead of opting for the refund. The basic concept of what you posted for the fix for XP only worked for me when RC was running by itself. If I started anything else, it was back to the robotic crack voice. However I made 4 note pad files and saved them as .bat with low priorities and flew the new PSS Dash 8 on 500 Mi plan with no problems, a little slow at times ATC voices, but I can live with it. I would like to say thank you to the entire RC3 team. I really enjoy flying with this piece of software. I also enjoyed Ver 2.2 but the ability to fly now with AI aircraft and MS ATC for chatter really improves the experience.One thing I would like to ask you to consider in future versions of RC. Please look into getting a new interface other than ADV Display. I really respect Peter Dowson's work for the FS community, however, I really dislike using ADV Display for the RC interface. It would be nice if RC could have a pop-up type window similar to the MS ATC window. Something you could call up to communicate and then have it disappear off the screen until it was nee…

On the Flight Deck RCv3 page are two update files, RC Wav Update 01 and 02.01 - Fixes for Australia and Canada. Replaces "Control" with "Center" in center names. Also fixes JD's (1) British Airways "Speedbird" callsign.02 - Fixes for Australia and Canada center names for the two other co-pilot sets (Jeff and Juliana), and some other callsign fixes for JD (1) and John Burgess (10).

im using fs navigator and when i load the flightplan into the fs planner it moves my aircraft from the gate where i last left it to another part of the airport how do i stop this from happening so i can use both rc and fs atc

I was just completing a flight from EGKK (London Gatwick) to EKCH (Copenhagen, Denmark) when I was given 'Cleared to land'. So I duly landed, had slowed down to about 30kts and was just turning off of r/w 4L when I was told to 'Go Around'. 'No way,' I thought and continued my turn off. So, when I asked for the appraisal, I got a right old rollicking. Yes, I know, it's something I can ignore, but that's not the point, is it? Had I tried to get off the ground again I would have run out of runway before I even got to 50kts (this was in a B757). Also, there was no apparent reason for me to have to go around. First of all I'd like to know how to get to the instructed runways or gates without like the red path given by FS2002? First I want to say that I have flown the first two tutorials and am now very impressed.I have a question about the clearance to cross 40 miles from X VOR at 10,000. I fly the PSS Airbus with a sophisticated FMC. most crossing restrictions are OVER a VOR or waypoint. These can be easily programmed into the FMC. RC 3 is sophisticated enough to request a hold at Place/Bearing/Distance which can also be programmed into FMC.In real life how does one deal with the 40 miles from VOR without being told the radial, I guess is what I am asking.Greg

Ever have one of those days?...Flying along from KBDR to KACK...on course...Center comes on and tells me I'm off course and to turn to new heading (away from the correct course)...well, without dispute I follow the instructions only to be yelled at again for being off course (which I'm am now) and to fly new heading back to my original course (note: this was not a traffic deviation)...I get back on course only to be yelled at one more time for, you got it, being off course...This went on for awhile until I got handed off to Approach...hmmm, maybe someone was squawking the same code as me ;)When I got to KACK and parked, I ran as fast as I could from the airplane so Mr. Bi…

This is a problem that I reported here not too long ago, in which I found the departure weather to be the same throughout my entire flight.Today I tried a flight from New York to Atlanta, using Weather Center 1.2 expert version which I purchased and downloaded. I set the weather to lock on to Atlanta, yet again, Radar Contact used the departure weather, in this case New York, when I landed.Jose

I am currently running FS2002 on my desktop and RC3 on my laptop.The manual on page 100 has a section on "Displaying adventure textin a separate program". It mentions that I would need an"application program" to do this. Can somebody please tell mewhat program to use or how to do this? G'day all, I'm a great fan of RC3 (and using it with MyTraffic is even better!) I have discovered that Otto will fly the flight plan well enough not to get a vist by FSDO about 50% of the time...not that I care what vFSDO says anyways....he he. But often during the enroute decent I'll get the call..."Upon reaching 10,000' fly heading xyz". Otto faithfully turns the aircraft to a xyz heading but doesn't decent to 10,000. I must take the controls...fly to 10,000 and then I'll get the call to contact arrival. Arrival will give a new heading and then Otto can resume becuase he's supposed to be at 10,000' anyways at this point. If I don't take the controls...he just kee…

I recently got my copy of RCv3 and have discovered a couple of problems.1. I often use Vectorial Designs' gauges on my panels and I discovered that when I hand over the plane to the CP my ND gauge loses it's VOR1 pointer and comes up with a message saying 'Nav Database Error 131'. Has anyone else had this happen and how did you fix it? If I fly all the way to the destination without the CPs help, this problem doesn't occur. It's only when I hand over.2. I was flying, earlier today, from Seattle to Ketchikan. Towards the end of the flight, on the descent, the controller kept berating me for not being at FL070. When you are assigned a runway, using RC, what criteria do RC use to select one for you? - or is it just random? Most often i'm given another runway than MS ATC are using - and not parallel. If MS ATC send you out to depart hdg. 180 degrees, you can almost be certain that RC sends you out to take off 360 degrees. Since it's FSmeteo which runs the weather, it should be the same?? I have read several of the topics in the manual and cannot turn off FS ATC which is only a problem with ATIS. Both RC and FS are going at it at the same time.Is there a way to disable FS ATC?Thanks!Denny ONashville, TN

Regarding saving flights, on my system RC3 locks up every time about halfway during the saving process. The status bar stops and RC3 must be ended by task manager and started again to continue without saving. I scanned through the threads for a simular problem without success. Therefore, I guess this problem is my problem alone. Is their any relation of the RC3 save/load to the save flight program in FS? Help from anyone out there on where to look for solution would be appreciated. Robert
