Hello, this morning I made an approach to LFPG 26R. Everything went fine. After touchdown I applied reverse thrust and suddenly was told'go around' and less than a second after that 'leave rwy at next exit..'.I did not try to start again, but I am sure, it would have beenimpossible. At the end I got a bad critique. What happened at this moment? Is a go around possible after touchdown?BTW RC is an excellent addon.Greetings and Happy HolidaysStephan (EDDM)

, the following steps will show you how to set up Radar Contact version 3 to automatically run at a higher process priority.1> Download PrcView (Process Viewer), which will allow you to control the processes running on your Windows platform. The link for the download is at:http://www.pcworld.com/downloads/file_down...ileidx,1,00.asp2> Open the ZIP file you downloaded and extract the PV.EXE program to your Radar Contact folder.http://www.jdtllc.com/images/screen1.jpgYour Radar Contact folder should now have the PV.EXE icon and not the PrcView.exe iconhttp://www.jdtllc.com/images/screen2.jpg3> Next, a batch file must be created to help launch RCV3 and then set the h…

A menu option to allow request for vecored approach displaying along with other options on approach would be nice. If I am on vectored approach, and choose visual or one of the ILS options, I note that there is no further option to go back to vectored approach if things don't work out Without declzring, I gues missed approach). This would come in handy if one pushes the wrong mumber my mistake for example.Greg

I have made my own pilot voice files. I have sound forge 6.0When reading the docs on how to make your own voice files. It statedyou could batch prosses cutting out the dead air in the sound files.I have looked in the SF doc's but could not locate how. I just got sound forge the other day and I am still new at it.Could someone help me that has SF?Eddie

I like to leave my options in RC3 so that I have to enter all of my frequencies manually. When I try to call FSS for WX or a clearance the radio makes static like I

Just bought RC3. I get weather brief, ground and tower to taxi into position and hold but no clearance to take off.LEft with [2] abort take off. Also sim pause keeps going off and on when controlers are talking.

ProcessViewer... The one I downloaded is PrcView.zip. I think it's the same one. Anyway, to my question. I can set RC as "high" or "realtime" priority in PrcView only when RC is running. This I can understand. However as soon as I exit RC, close out PrcView and reopen PrcView, RC has reverted to "normal" priority. Do you know if one just has to do this each time they start RC? I saw an option to save but it didn't really seem to do anything .Thanks, AdamI posted before that RC voices were smooth. They were wonderful for the first 2 flights. Strangely though, there are now lengthy pauses in the voices occasionally. I think this may in part have to do with ActiveSky updatin…

Just wondering if the developers are any closer to a fix for slow controller speak for users of WindowsME? Radar Contact is an excellent program - just a pity it is spoilt a little by the slow, pausing speech. I am not keen on buying a new O/S (WindowsXP) just to get RCV3 to work perfectly. I am running AMD1900 processor with Soundblaster Live 1024 soundcard and latest drivers.Airdog

I just loaded RCV3, I tried full and minimum install. The only audio I seem to get is the ATIS info and nothing else. When I hit the 2 key to select CD for example, it basically does nothing. Sometimes I can get it to go to ground etc, but still no audio or any text with instructions. I still have RCV2.2 installed, could this be a problem? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Larry,I couldn't reply to your message as the thread has been locked (probably as a result of it being anchored) so I'll reply here.<>Firstly, the question of unsuccessfully editing the Target line to force Priority to ABOVENORMAL. I really don't know why Windows refuses to accept a perfectly valid path on some people's machine but the solution seems to be to create a new shortcut rather than edit the existing one. A friend who had similar problems resolved them with this solution. As for the speed at which sounds are played I think this has a lot to do with the sound card being used, the speed of the processor and most importantly of all, the opinion of the user. It…

Anybody care to post a screen shot of where they have placed the ADV display window on the PIC panel?I'm having trouble finding a place to dock the window where it's sized properly to see all the options yet doesn't cover any of my instruments. Thanks!

I'm running Project Magenta (PM) on 3 hosts and using the Aerosoft MCP747 as a h/w interface to the PM MCP s/w. I have been routinely getting somewhere around 23-33 fps sitting idle on the ramp. I installed RC3 a few days ago and checked it out without the MCP747 enabled and framerates remained in the 23-33 fps range. When I fly with the MCP747 and do not use RC3 I get 23-33 fps.But when I enable the MCP747 interface and use RC3 simultaneously the frame rate drops to 3-9 fps. If I kill either the MCP747 process or the RC3 process - framerates go back up to the 23-33 range. The framerate drop occurs consistently so long as both RC3 and MCP747 are running.Any ideas on what…

Is the ATC text (you see on Adv Display) editable?I would like to change the "QWANTAS" to the correct spelling "Qantas".It does make a change to see a "W" instead of a "U" as Qantas must be the most mis-spelled word in the english language :-(Sounds and looks ok if you are flying into Shanghi, but in Brisbane, it looks a bit Naff :-)CheersJulian

I really am having trouble with the "international" set of controllers RCV3 uses. Is there no way to simulate flying in the good old US of A? Right now it sounds like I'm flying somewhere across east Germany and on into Poland! Jeez it's bad! I don't really mind Euro controllers, but I am flying around the West coast and it's annoying to hear some of these voices that totally don't fit into my fantasy world! If that can't be done, then I'm heading back to MS ATC.You guys did a huge amount of work on this, and I truly appreciate that. It's just the odd accents I can't handle.Noel

In RC 2.2. there were american chatter in areas not having there own recorded chatter, so it at least not was totally silent. It doesn'tseem to be so in vers. 3. Since i got vers. 3 i have been flying around in US, so i haven't noticed this - first today when i went to Puerto Rico and it was in complete silence.Do i have to copy the US chatter to all the different empty libraries or is there another way to do it?

I have over the course of about five hours (added to many other hours on MANY different days, I have installed a SB Live! Value card running XP drivers version 80.0.0.3 which just came directly from Creative zipped in file LiveDrvPack created December 18,2002, 24.7 MB. This includes the Creative EMU10K1 Audio Processor (WDM) device. The SB card is installed on a Asus P4PE MB 2.4 GHz P4 with 1 GB DDR running winXP Pro. On board integrated SoundMax chip is disabled in BIOS. RCV3.exe priority shows "above normal" in Task Manager. I STILL have choppy audio when I listen in the WxBrf. Yet the ATIS voices heard in FS2002 are most definitely NOT choppy. FS2002 someho…

The keyboard continues to work fine but my yoke and pedal inputs do not make it to fs2k2 or fsuipc. You can see them respond in the calibration routine.Any recommendation would be very helpful.Bill

Hi,I think I prefer FS2002 ATIS over RC3 ATIS. I know how to use comm 2 or turn down ATC sound to eliminate FS2002 ATIS and hear only RC3.Is there a way to do the opposite? Thanks in advance.BobP :)
