As Requested yesterday on this Forum:1) Read the RC V3 Manual pages 105 and 106, keeping in mind that the PSS A320 DOES have a COM2 radio set up (ie: ignore steps 1-9). The PSSA320 panel however does NOT have a built in method of monitoring the COM2 radio. You have to modify your panel.cfg file to add that capability. Luckily it is easy!2) Find your PSSA320 panel.cfg file. Note that there is only 1 panel.cfg that is used for all PSS A319, A320 and A320 aircraft - so you only have to modify one file! It can be located at: "C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFS2002aircraftPSSAB-Propanelpanel.cfg"(or something similar if you did not chose the default installation options)3)…

I did my first RC flight from CYXC - CYYC. I'm flying along being directed by some "DP" from England, :-lol when low and behold I hear a call from "Glacier 79 something". Anyways Glacier is the call sign for Central Mtn. Air here in BC and Alberta. I could not believe my ears, the fellow on the radio is a friend of mine who flys for them. I just about bust a gut laughing. It was unmistakable as to who it was I heard. I've listened to him many times as he came into CYXC on the scanner. If you are in need, let me give you a good advice out of my own fresh experience:Have you any trouble, small or big, with RC v3, just post a message here on this forum!jd will read it, maybe ask you one question or two. (To be sure you shut down your browser for some minutes and start FS2002 and RC. Have a check on how you acted so you can tell him exactly how the problem occured!)Then you might well FIND OUT THAT THE PROBLEM IS ALREADY GONE!!!!!!!!!!!That

We all know that RC's Co-Pilot will not controll PSSAXX's heading, only the comms's. My problem is that RC asks for enroute course deviations for traffic and what if I must stray away from the computer at these times?? The controller will get all bent out of shape if I am not right there to implement the course change requested. This is not a problem, obviously, with aircraft panels other than PSS's AXX series. What do you all suggest??? Is there a check box somewhere in the RC software that will suppress enroute course deviation requests by the controllers? I have not been able to find one in the manual or in the software, but I could be simply missing the obvious.

This isn't a huge issue but I'm not sure it has been brought up yet. I've noticed on the 2 flights I've done so far that ATC will say (depending on where you are) "Contact Washington Center...." but when I tune the Center frequency, it is actually "New York Center" that I contact. In this case New York Center seemed to be the correct one since I was flying toward that area. It also happened on Tutorial flight #1 (KDSM-KORD). Controller said "contact Minneapolis Center..." but it was actually Chicago center that I contacted. Otherwise, I'm still working through the manual and checking out the great features!

I installed RC3 on tuesday and have for the moment some 20 odd hours of flyingin my log. And for a small glitch of runwayassignement I think those dollars I paid are the most well spent ever. This is one great program and more than a serious leap forward since version 2.2. (And I thought that was great...?)I think you guys deserve more than a few weeks vacation...Great? Greater? I would much appreciate a simple statement of what I should do to make the controllers sound as they do in the sample found on the Flight Deck web page. I am running XP Pro and FS 2002 Pro. I have worked my way through the discussions on the forum and tried the various "strings" that have been found to fix things, but I cannot find one that the Target box will accept after I delete what is there. I have tried the task manager route but cannot find rcv3 or fs2002 in the processes list. I will be greatful for any help.

I downloaded his latest version of the display and my problems went a way.The current version is a few days away from the one installed by RC3 so other users may want to check.

Hi All,For those of you that have the Nvidia GeForce4 series of video cards you can brighten up the night so that it is as plain as day by doing the following. Right click on the desktop and bring up the display properties. Click on settings, advanced, Geforce, nview display mode, Device settings, color correction. You will find several sliders one of which is a gamma correction. By moving it to the right you can light up FS2002 night as much as you want. You can adjust the other sliders to work with your gamma correction. You have to be careful and play with your gamma adjustment or you will get it too bright for night or day. For those of you who are using the above, Andy Hatcher has created a neat little toggle switch which can be easily installed manually in panel.cfg or in my case, I used FS Panel Studio which made it easier to place exactly where I wanted it. Hi!Is it possible to combine RCV3 and MyTraffic in FS2002? Does RCV3 take "command" of the traffic that MyTraffic generates?I think both RCV3 and MyTraffic is two great addons, and I just hope they will work together, then I will be a happy flightsimmer.RgdsAntoni

hi there i am trying the above noted tutorial flight and no matter how many times i follow the printed instruction for pausing, saving, entering the holding info in the save Flight Name box, as soon as i restart RC and unpause FS I do not get any holding instructions,etc.I have restarted this flight 3 times and still i get no holding/vector instructions- can someone give me some help with this one??

Let me first say, I just received RCV3 and I'm very pleased with the first couple of flights. And, no voice hesitation to speak of, thus far. Really like the 'pick the number' approach to selecting the ATC options.One aspect that I don't know if others have experienced. When running FS2002, FS Meteo, FS Navigator 4, RCV3 and FlightSim Flight Max, I get stutters in FS2002 and 'flashes' in FSN and FSMax (i.e. hesitations, with the FSMax screen flashing on and off a lot. By closing down eith FSMax OR FSN, it goes away, so obviously there are some resource issues here when all are running. I tried flying one of the more interesting approaches I've done to Ksee (Gillespie, San Diego). Here is a odd thing. I did the tutorial flight tonight KDSM to KORD. I set up the plan using FSNavigator for the same parameters that the manual has for the RC3 plan, and set up RC3 per the manual. When I took off I flew the runway heading like I was told, but I was never given any instructions to change heading. I got altitude changes, and was handed off to center. Eventually, I think about the 35 mile mark ATC asked me why I wasn't on the airway and gave me a heading. Wierd.I then loaded the RC3 KDSM-KORD tutorial. Everything was the same until takeoff, when I was then vectored like I should have been. Anybody know why this happened? Anybody else had something like this…

Hi JDI have the problem of no sound at all, althogh RC3 responds to key inputs (standby message and radio tunes OK). I just don't hear anything, on a couple of occasions I can't even get FSATC. A peculiar thing is if I launch RC3 without FS then in options when I press the Airline name sound button, the wave plays. As soon as I start FS then launch RC3...zip. All the waves are where they should be (re: Scots post to Lars), I don't have a soundcard, just using the PC Board C-Media. I have reinstalled FSUIPC and ADVdsp and still nothing, hope you can help !

Have had this RC3 over a week now and have used it several times a day every day and into the late hours of the night. I am retired so don't have to get up for work but this radar contact flying is so much fun and I am enjoying it so much I am becoming exhausted!I want to really thank you guys for putting it all together.
