The problem is "No Sounds (voices)".My soundcard is onboard Soundblaster PCI128.When RCV3 is running alone, I can hear Airline name and callsign.But with FS2K2 running, I can get no RCV3 voices.I'd like to tweak Soundblaster config to play simul wavs,but I don't know where (which file) to tweak.(I've tried what I guess to try)Can anyone gime me some advice?Or.........Should I get a new soundcard to install?Thank you in advance.BORRO

Hi friends,i have some questions for you, can you please help?Maybe those have been already posted so, please, forgive me...1) once RC loaded when asking for a weather report suddendly the green default MS stripe appear with strange numbers and symbols, and i have to close it: any way to permanently close it?2) i'm running RCv3 on a networked machine, and it works pretty good. Now i'd like to get default MS ATC on COM2 as per suggestions. So i checked aircraft.cfg and COM2 is active. How can i listen to MS ATC? Suppose i have to modify the panel and add a COM2 radio. After that i have to tune CD or GROUND writing down frequency.... I'm a bit confused: MS ATC should ignore…

Followed ground instructions and held short. Contacted tower which I did. Reply was taxi into position and hold, which I did correctly.Advdisp changed to the Abort Takeoff choice and nothing further occurred. Waited three minutes, then took off on my own.So why did I not get cleared for takeoff especially after holding some time on the runway as indicated?My AI traffic for now is down all the way in FS as is chatter in RCV3.Could it be that some AI traffic is necessary to get the correct sequence out of RC?Also, in my area of Class B (MSP), from an outlying airport within the TCA 20 nm ring departure radar vectors you to the first fix after establishing climb on runway h…

RCV3 is up and running on my system. Very pleased so far.Two questions:1. When saving a flight, are the states of add-ons, such as FSMeteo, also saved? If so, do thse add-ons have to be first restarted before RCV3 is started in order to load the saved flight?2. On the Custom Key Definitions screen, what is the key shown as being associated with 'Save RC/FS State'? The symbol shown looks like a 'c' with a tail.Best regards,Sandy Seidler

Just got it today and still getting used to it. Like my subject line says, I hear both, the FSATC and RC3 through comm 1 at the same time.I am I doing something wrong? Sorry if this has already been answered.Thanks in advance,Tony

I put together tonight an ATC flight with RCV3. I use Game Commander 2 for the response commands and controller contact. It also supplies the audio for all the flight services and CP control responses.I was also running FS Skyworld, FS_meteo, FSFlightMax (with charts loaded), and FSNavigator + Lago FSSE.The flight was flawless. All audio from RC3 was clear and delivered at a realistic rate. NOTHING CRASHED. I did this on a Athlon 1.4+ with 256 sdram / GF3 video card.Smooth frame rates ( almost all sliders maxed ).I am just amazed that all this software can come together to provide this great flight sim experience. And it works.Thanks guys.I'm off for another flight.

Can I delete APLC 32 now that I have RCV3 running.Also I have deleted RCV2 thru the control panel,and all the other files that I can find,but when I click on flight plans tha t I had made under RCV2,they still show on the advdisp.also does anybody know how I can get rid of old RC control panel,I deleted that to,but still shows in fs2002 under modules when I have fs2002 running. I have RCV3 running quite good,as far as the sound,everything sounds good except when I have the co-pilot on the comms,her voice sounds strange,not like she sounded in RCV2. Hi folks,later in the morning i received my RCv3 copy.And i have put my order on November 24th! But listen, listen, i emailed my RCv3 Key Request today at 17.37 and had my Registration (key) at 18.43!Yes, just one hour later. :-coolGood example of customer care isn't it?BTW i live in Northern Italy, near Milan LIMLNow i'm going to try RC on a networked machine via WideFS.LaterLuigi ;-)

Is there a way to hide it? or to make it transparent? or to make it open with the same size always?

.........and on my very first flight too!!!Everything went well........got to my crossing restriction early, and did everything else perfectly. Ok.......on final approach I was told that I am cleared to land. At about 2 miles out, tower told me to go around. I did the go around checklist and started climbing. When the gear went up, the tower said something that I didn't hear....(the dreamfleet "Too low...gear" was really loud)....but I heard him say to contact approach or something. Also the frequency came up on (1). So I hit 1. and called approach. They told me to fly heading 105 (runway heading) and climb to 5000. Passing 2500ft, I decided to ask for a visual approach. …

I had noticed that if I call one of the FS2K2 menus while ATC message is being spoken, the speed becomes suddenly normal. As, while calling a menu, the engine sound stops, I thought of unchecking the engine sound in the sound settings page, under options, and bingo, ATC speed is normal. This is not a solution, but maybe an interesting observation for jd, Scott and all those working on the problem. Hi fellows,I am trying to connect RC on a 2nd and networked computer but not having any luck.My network is stable, both systems "chatting" with one another.The server has FS2002 loaded and running. The modules folder contains the latest FSUIPC and WideFS files which I downloaded today from Pete Dowson's site.On the client, I first start WideFS, then RC3. I load a flight plan by browsing and poiting to the flights directory in FS2002 on the Server.After that, I hit "START RCv3" on the RC applet. I get the following in the dialogue area that states "Maybe running on wideclient, but FS not running on Server, or wrong FSUIPC".Any ideas???????Thanks,Michael

It's from ATIS to clearance to cruise alt. It uses the RC synth chatter instead of the canned chatter so it's all processed by RC. The background ATC you will hear is FSATC on Comm 2 for comparison.Now you have something to compare to.

Is there a way to eliminate the pilot wav response files without de-activating the play pilot wav option.I am using Game Commander it input pilot commands and wish to eliminate the pilot wav responses.The problem I have is that if I choose to de-activate the play pilot wavs option, It also shuts down the copilot responses. So when I hand off the aircraft to Otto, she's a mute.In V2.2 it was a simple matter of eliminating the wav files in folder 0. Is the same possible in V3.Thanks for any help.

Hello All!I received my copy of RCv3.0 and am unable to execute the program. Here is the problem: I have FS2002 runing, I attempt to load either an FS2002 flight plan that was created with Nav3.0 or one of the APL plans I created with RCv2.2. I have all the options set and I get an error message "IPC request contains bad data"!!!! I have tried to change the plans etc but no luck.I have an AMD atlonXP running with DirectX 8.2 using nvidia drivers 40.90 (Windows certified), fsuip2.94. Everything else works without RC3. Any suggestions from Rick, Scott etc would be greatly appreciated!Thabk you: Jeremy ColeP.S. I could not find this discussed in the manual!

I just ordered RC 3 so I installed AdvDisplay as required so that I will be ready for it.I get no text when I have ATC text displayed checked even though it is showing on screen in FS.I am using VooDoo 4500 card and the instructions say I must disable "PageFlip".What is that and how do I disable it?Am I not going to be able to use RC 3 with the VooDoo card?Thanks,Ron

Hi All, I have been seeing the Radar Contact program advertised for quite some time, I never really looked at it. But now, I must know. I realize it is an ATC program, but how interactive/reactive is it? I mean, does it react to me? Or is it on assigned flights, meaning if I deviate, I loose control of the flight...that kind of thing. I am curious, and who knows, I might even buy it if it sounds good. ;-) Thanks.Brian A. Now that I've installed v3 (:-jumpy) what can I get rid of from previous versions 2.0-2.2?
