Greetings.Having owned now the last 3 releases of RC I can only say things get better each time. I am, however, just curious if I'm doing something strange or if I'm mis-interpreting what's happening.First, taking off KBOS I'm getting assigned 22L for takeoff. Which is fine, but the AI traffic is taking off from 33L instead and taxis via C to get there.. right accross my takeoff roll! Thankfully I was lookin out and managed to lift off early. Winds at the time were 230/13 and the MS ATIS and RC ATIS agree with the weather from FS_Meteo...I'm at FL350. I'm heading 270deg, on course. Hello, I just completed my first full flight, KDSM--KORD, and I must say that V3 is a much easier ATC program for the user. The options were all there, all that I desired for this flight, and I enjoyed the speed restriction on the downwind and base. Nice ATC programming job by the JD bunch. There was a minor (the RW ATC guys probably might not think this to be minor) glitch just shortly after T/O from KDSM. ATC informed the CoPilot to contact Minneapolis Center on xxx.xx. The CoPilot responded but the ATC which responded was Chicago Center. I thought I may have heard wrong so I repeated that flight again. This exchange took place at N41 45 W 93.195 . …

Hi All, I first started with the holding set at max. and that was short lived because they let me get close to my dest. and set me on some wild rectangular trek. I now have holding set on 8 and flew a trip with no holds. Wx was great between KORD/KPIT this afternoon with Fsmeteo.My question is the holding function in v3 determined by the wx conditions if you use fsmeteo ? Or what triggers the holding in v3 ?Thanks Nick

Wondering if any ATC types or pilots would know of a source that lists local frequencies for Ft. Worth Center? I'd like to be able to make recordings off of my VHF scanner for the LOW, MID, and HIGH alt stratums to make ZFW RC3 chatter.Thanks!

This week I am going to order the V3 upgrade.To those who already have it, and have used V2, how is it?Are you happy with the improvements? I have seen a few brief reviews on here, but I know more people are using it. Have been flying the Project Airbus A320-100 with a panel by Marcello Lugari. (Both top 100 downloads for Flightsim.com) RCv3 runs great with all other planes in hangar, but get a loud buzzing noise (off and on) when I load a flight plan for this plane. Is there a compatibility problem with this aircraft and panel? Please advise.Thanks

I have a question. When I handed the controls over to Otto, and we were vectored for traffic, she did nothing. I found out that if I would switch the Ap from NAV to HDG, then she would adjust heading as needed, and would continue to fly the GPS flight plan via the heading bug. Is this the way it is supposed to work? The manual really didn't say.The other thing that didn't work right was the save feature. I saved while on downwind at 7000ft, 090, and 200kts. Well of course FS2002 locked up just as I was touching down. When I restarted FS and loaded the saved flight from RC3, it put me on final, and the controller was telling me I was supposed to be at 7000ft and 090, which…

Well somehow I have lost all my chatter. I do hear the controller and I hear the pilot. I have the sliders to Max and still nothing. It was working fine last time I flew and I have not changed anything. Also I noticed that when AI traffic was close, there was no Acknowledgment from the controller.OK what am I doing wrong.Rick

Someone else and I both posted a couple of days ago that we were seeing a difference in WX between cockpit-view and virtual cockpit. Tonight I isolated the problem and it appears to be caused by ADV DISP. When I UNdock ADV DISP the weather is one way regardless of the view. When it is docked the view (and WX, i.e., wind direction, cloud cover, etc.) changes between cockpit-view and virtual cockpit.I don't know what could be causing this since I have used ADV DISP with RCV2 for at least a couple of years and had no problem. Wonder if it is something with this version of ADV DISP that is not compatible with my aircraft (PSS747) or some other setting.This also seems to b…

I am using FS2000 (NOT FS2002). I am running FSNavigator (in the Modules directory of my FS2000 program) as my flight planner.How do you get started, assuming you are using FS2000, rather than FS2002? The manual assumes you are using FS2002. The instructions are FS2002 specific and, unfortunately, do not cover what to do if you are using FS2000 instead of FS2002. I suspect there is a big difference. Could someone help me with a little step-by-step for getting up and running with FS2000 and RC 3.0? After installing RCV3, I went to make a shortcut and noticed I had 2 exec files. One is called RCV3.exec and is dated Nov 19 and the other is RCV3b.exec and is dated Nov 11. They are both the same size, so I assume they are the same? Fitz

Greetings, I was wondering how RC V3 handles arrivals if you request a non-ILS equipped runway. Flew KLGA-KROA today. Arrival told me to expect vectors for Rwy 33, but I requested Rwy 24 since this was closer to the wind direction, Rwy 24 has no ILS. After selecting the runway arrival told me to expect vectors for 24 and fly heading 060...fine. Well, after flying for a while I heard nothing more from ATC and flew past the airport, at about 30mi out I decided not to chance it and just request a visual app. My question is if you request a non-ILS rwy must you ask for a visual approach or will arrival vector you to the final? I changed the priority mode from normal to above normal, and the difference is such that I don't understand what the controller is saying now. (way to fast)Priority modes can only be changed in the OS (I think) or the way the application starts (there's flags for starting an application in a diiferent priority mode.I think experts in this subject can comment on how to address the priority change better. For me the problem is solved.

First, RC3 is AWESOME. I have been a user of FSATC since FS2002 appeared, but this is 10,000 times better.I did my first RC3 flight with the PSS A320 on a simple flight from Heathrow to Frankfurt ... lousy weather in Europe tonight .. using FS_Meteo. I tried using FDC also but all sound stopped .. (hmmm?? saw a post about start order ... did that ... need to try again)At any rate ... all things worked quite well I thought. Had my 1st flight with RC3 KABQ to KPHX. Critique gave me a thumbs up at the end. :-beerchug The ATC voice speed seems Ok on my PC (whew)and the display panel didn't give me any problems. So far so good. Great job guys! :-wave

Hey guys-Just got RC today and it only took 4 days! I read through the manual and I've been trying to do one of the tutorial flights (KDSM-KORD) using a CRJ. I seem to be having a lot of trouble with the ADVdisplay. I have never used this utilty but I downloaded it and installed per the instructions. The window seemed to pop open on the initial 'Create Flight' startup page in FS. Whenever I try to change screens (Select Aircraft, etc.) everything locks up and I have to shutdown/restart. A couple times it did open without the ADV box and I was able to get in a try the flight. I docked the ADV and contacted WX, Ground etc, but every time I contact ground, I get the dr…

Hi Guys, Just a quick question. Sometime when flying PIC or Dreamfleet it getsa little busy, or maybe I'm just dozing off ;) but.. On the oddoccasion I'll miss a controlers directive. I remember in RC2.2 youcould request a "say again" and after he got through screamingat ya :-) , he'd repeat. Now Im gone through the manual, and all the pages of advdisp and I'll be darnedif I can find find any such thing in ver 3. Am I missing something or is it just notan option ? :-zhelp.
