Hi:How can we avoid having the double ATIS announced by RCV3 and FS2K2 at the same time.When I press 1 at the start both give it to me.

But I was to busy trying it out to post anything. I must say it is great. Especially since I made the batch files. It took 6 days from the time I ordered it to the day I received it. Then it took about 3 hrs for the Key. Great service. Thanks.

First, RC3 is working great on my second computer but I would rather have the text menus appear there than on my FS2K2 comp. Can someone explain how to make that happen in very simple terms please.Also, with RC3 on the second PC networked it takes its key commands from the primary PC via WideFS. Is it possible to give it key commands from the second computer? That way I could use Game Commander or some other voice recog. package.David

I received my copy on the West Coast USA four days after it was mailed.1. I confirm that the fix of putting RC 3 to high priority makes the speed of the WAVS natural.2. How can one turn down the volume of the chatter etc? If I turn down ATC and or Lessons it does not effect the volume at all. If I max out the other sound levels ie engines, cockpit etc it brings the chatter volume (relatively) down a bit, but it is so loud that it interferes with Game Commander Voice Recognition and generates spurious commands.3. Ok-first off this program is great! Since the "slow controller fix" voices are realistic and everything is running smoothly and great on my setup.Now a couple of questions and knitpicks-Tuning atis-it always starts at the beginning and stops at the end. In the real world it starts wherever the tape is when you tune in and it cycles over and over-not a big deal but wonder if it could work this way?One thing I have learned flying a GA plane coast to coast 3 times now is that atc works a little different in different areas of the country.Anyway with that in mind a couple things I have noticed that are at least different from where I fly. I flew my first flight in my COA PICPOSKY 767 from KLAS to KSFO, using a FSBuild FP with FS Meteo weather. It gave me a nice left downwind to the ILS 19L with speed reductions! Again thankyou! I had a few issues tho, The first was missing textures on the frontend of my a/c, and the a/c making a wrong turn at a few waypoints which kept me on my toes by having to revert to heading select to getback on the airway. Even after all that the controller said he would let me fly in his airspace anytime! Not bad for a mechanic! Anyone out there with PICPOSKY a/c and RC3? And how do you like the combo? Hi, Can anyone tell me what is wrong with this scenario? I filed a IFR flight plan from O52 (Sutter County) to KCIC (Chico) airport and loaded it into RCV3. Because I added a tower to O52 with AFCAD (to accomdate AI traffic) I ask for a Tower and AWOS from RC. All went according to plan until I got in the air, contacted Sacramento Center, and tried to turn my plane over to the co-pilot. I had my autopilot on and it was flying the assigned runway heading. The co-pilot responded with 'my plane' but nothing happened. The plane still continued to fly runway heading and continued veering off course to the starboard. 1. First, are there problems that arise if you re-install FS2002 after the installation of RCV3? 2. After booting RCV3, I have to right click FS2002 in the tray and hit restore to get FS2002 up and running. After flight is over, I have to do the same with RCV3 and get the XP message "program not running", press "end" and get the "send error message" to microsoft. Am running XP Pro on an AMD 1.4 with a G2 Ultra 64 Creative Labs Graphic's card with the latest Nvidia driver 4.0.7.2.

RCV3 up and running just fine. Take it from me... Bill Stevens is alive and well! I seem to have taken a slight frame rate hit but I'm still tweaking. Problem is that I am still flying the "lonely" skies... I can see AI aircraft on the ground but nothing in the air. I generally fly the PSS747 and the cockpit display shows traffice but I can't physically see anything in the air. Was looking forward to some comany after all these lonely months. I've just gotta put in a quick plug here...got RC3, installed without a hitch, flew a great "test flight" DFW to SAT in and above some nice solid IMC (thank you FSMeteo). The ONLY problem was that damn AI plane that taxied onto the runway when I was on short final in SAT. Almost wrecked my new "Iron Knuckles" DC-9. (Another winner, by the way!) Hello,I have clicked on ATC Text and on advdsp display, the ATC text and the menu kept flipping back and forth too fast and I am unable to read the ATC text. How can I fix it? I want to be able to read the ATC text and then it goes back to the menu.I am using Geforce 4 with 41.09 driver.Thanks!Brian

Hello, I am interested in Radar Contact 3 and have a question regarding the AI traffic in FS2002 with RC3. Does RC3 take control of the AI traffic? I ask this because it was very unrealistic using the FS2002 ATC when AI traffic cut me off on ILS approaches or when I had numerous near misses at the busier airports. It seems the default 2002 ATC couldn't handle too many aircraft and quite often there were aircraft practically flying on top of each other on ILS approaches (especially at KORD). I could rarely get missed approach vectors to work too. Does RC3 prevent the above from happening? Robert Williamson

1) ATC text isn't working properly. I am using ATC Text because I am deaf and I can only read ATC instead of hearing. The ATC message and the ATC menu keep flipping back and forth WAY too fast...That needs to be fixed ASAP!2) If ATC Text is enabled, why need controller's voice? I noticed it takes too long for ATC text to display after I press an option. I noticed RC says out the message and when it's done, the ATC text appears. It'd be nice to disable controller's voice if ATC text is enabled.So far, this software isn't worth $44. If you address it ASAP, then I'd be happy again.Thanks!Brian

I know this was discussed on the FS forum a long time ago, but I don't fly at night since it's impossible to see anything on the ground.But I just did a night flight and landed at Kennedy. There's no night textures on anything. Except for a solid-white center terminal, it's dark as can be. Am I missing something?Okay, I'm obviously missing something. Can I fix it?

Finally took a longer flight using RCv3.0. Flew COA426 LAX-IAH in my PIC-equipped 757 by Michael Troussant (sp?). I requested runway 25R in the RC box but was given r/w 6L. I requested 25R and got it. Other than that, there were no big problems until my decent except I swear I had the same controller the entire trip! Sounded like a person foreign to the US but it was the same guy in LA, ABQ, and IAH. Huh? Now for the bizzare stuff. There I was, cruisin' at FL370 when I get the call to decend to FL350. Good enough. I'm 140 miles from KIAH and it's time to go on down. I level off at FL350 and almost immediately get the instruction to "Turn right to 175, …

I'd be grateful if one of the Team could confirm that if I use RC3 (which arrived in the UK today - thanks!) across a network with WideFS, there's no necessity to install any element of it on the FS pc, just on the target remote WideClient pc? That's the way it looks from the docs, but it's not unequivocal.I'm just a bit suspicious because I'd assumed that the RC3 would look for an FS install on the machine.Cheers,AndyEGTR

Hi their, before I buy Radar Contact V3, would you mind answering some questions? The main one is how realistic is RC v3? If expressed as a percentage, to what percent is RC true to real world ATC? What are the voices like? Is it computer generated like FS and in FLY or are the voices like real life?Is their background chatter between ATC and other aircraft?And lastly, what are the problems/downfalls, what is NOT functional?ThanksRic

jd,I've read that FSMeteo 5.2 is a "recommended" addition for RCV3. Can you expand on what 5.2 gives us in RC over 5.1? Is 5.1 fully compatible?I ask only because my year of free upgrades is up from Marc and I'm trying to decide on pitching in for another year, just keep using 5.1, or go for another weather program. A strange thing happened on my latest flight.I was enroute from DFW to EWR in the PIC767, using RCV3. Everything was working flawlessly insofar as my own flightplan and interactions with ATC were concerned.I was at FL 370, in Memphis Center airspace. In the RC "options" menu, I had selected the Chatter slider to number 4. I was hearing chatter about once every 60 seconds or so.Suddenly, the chatter playback function seemed to get stuck in an endless loop. Got my first Radar Contact "crash" tonight, any idea what caused this one? "RUNTIME ERROR 9....SUBSCRIPT OUT OF RANGE". I was on an IFR flight from CHS to SAV, requested return to CHS. No problem, good vectoring back in to ILS 15, was about to land and got "go around" from tower and did. I was following the vectors back to downwind when i recieved the error and that was it for RC3..had to do a lost comms senerio.. oh well it keeps you on your toes.
