Hi all,I got really excited about your product so today i decided to purchase RC3, I filled in the form, and pushed the button to confirm.Sadly i got this error next:

when I try to select an adventure imported from fs navigatori click ok the the sceen locks up and i have to restart.can anyone help please.eric

I am trying to fly the tutorial flight KBNA_KMEM,I spot plane at KBNAat the gate,I give the comm to the co-pilot,Atis ok-CD is ok Ground tells co-pilot to use runway 2C,which is wrong,On RCV3 I typed RW-20L,requested RW-20L and got the ok. as soon as plane started moving,tower called and said to hold short,after that Tower gave us hell for going on the runway. When I got to the runway,put on brakes,nothing from tower,went on the runway,nothing, thew only thing showing on the advdisp was abort,which I did,that worked ok. Scott-I just recorded so you can hear the slow talk. The sound is distorted as I did it low quality but you can hear the pauses-especially on the controller that answers back. I am experiencing the same slow controller voice performance as others during any communications that require the stringing of multiple wav files.I noticed that if, just after I hit 1 to begin a controller communication sequence, I hit the ALT key and bring up an MSFS dropdown menu, the clearance readouts continue and are very smooth and flow very well. Of course I am not able to interface with FS while the dropdown is there.I thought others might try this and that maybe this would give John, Rick, Scott whoever more info on where the issue lies.Thanks.

Scott,I just discovered that if I dock the advdisplay window, I get an RC3 window at the top which contains the same information as what is displayed in the advdisplay area. Also, this DOES work with 3D when the advdisplay is docked and not visible.Question, can the RC3 display window's properties be changed? For example, can I change the background or font colors?Also, there are unusual characters displayed in that window also. Can they be taken out?Thanks a lot,

Hi,Reading back on a previous post by Doug Thompson, I noticed he stated that beta versions of RC3 incorportated computer synthesized speech for some of the controllers and that this was dismissed as not being acceptable by the testers. Therefore as I understand it, synthesized speech was supposed to be dropped for the release version.However, I am hearing computer generated speech for a controller in various positions on a regular basis with my RC3 flights. This is definitely synthesized speech and I'm not confusing it with a foreign accent. I did search through all the controller .wavs in RC3 directories and could not find synthesized .wavs pre-recorded. Is the…

Hi All,I generally use an airport ( KBVI ) for most of my flight plans. Using Fsmeteo for wx, RC always gives me RW 30 for departure and I have to ask for 10/28 depending on the wind.Is this correct in that RC does'nt know the rwys of all airports ?? All things being equal the RCv3 Team did a great job and I can say my only real complaint was it took to long to load in the "putor".If you could please clear up my rwy question.Thanks Nick

I am using FSmeteo and the latest version of FSUIPCI keep getting repetetive altimeter chacks about 3 seconds apart.For example AC001 altimeter 3094 then 3 seconds later AC001 altimeter 3096, the alt 3095 ?Don't recall getting this in RCv2.2 ??John

In response to my earlier thread at http://ftp.avsim.com/cgi-bin/dcforum/dcboa...rum=DCForumID31I mentioned that everything went perfectly, however with the exception of one thing..I was flighing a boeing 777 with PSS panel..When I handed of the Aircraft and COMM to my co-pilot so that I could take a shower, We were instructed to vector for traffic. I watched carefully to see what my co-pilot would do, and she did absolutely nothing..Although she confered with ATC, she never vectored...Does this have something to with the panel advanced features not to obey third part add-ons, or is this is what I should expect?Thanks again...Troy

Hi all..I just took my first flight from KORD to KDEN with RC3 and I must say that the guys finally got it right...Bottom line, this thing is perfect..No complaints here..Everything we expected is in here and it all works fine with FSMETEO and FS CLoudsWell thats my two cents worth...Happy Flying allThank you JDTroy

Greetings All, Received my copy of RC V3 last night and I'm trying to get this ADV DISP thing to work. Whenever I try to dock the thing it disappears. I have tried it on several different panels, I have tried switching views. I have tried moving it all over the joint. I have both the latest versions of FSUIPC and ADV DISP. Can someone help me? It's a shame that RCV3 is totally dependent on such a flaky/temperamental utility! This needs to be addressed. I'll bet I'm not the only one expieriencing this. Thanks. Raul.

Well all, I'm heading for some din-din, then I'm going to watch an hour of telly, then I'm off to bed. Wil be back at 10am (MST). ;-)However, the rest of the team is available 24 hours a day. :-lol

After initially installing RC V3, it would probably be a good idea to immediately defragment your installation drive. This definitely improved the speed of the controller voices on my system.With all of the files and folders that the program installs, fragmentation is definitely an issue - especially if the drive was already fragmented to start with... makes the program work a lot harder to find each individual "word".On my machine, the flow of the controllers' speech was much better after doing the defrag.Jim Barrett

i must say this is good , but i have a question about other planes in 2k2, i was cleared to land and as i approached the runway a heavy pulled out in front of me. i had to go around , is there a reason for this , is there a way for RC to see other planes . it seems like the planes are on there own, and not part f RC.Thanks........Camtech

Like most of you, I am delighted with RC3. I was pleased to attend JDs little launch party in Atlanta and have had the program for over a week now. Agree that the controller voices are much less natural than the MSFS ATC, and the volume of the RC3 controllers and chatter cannot be adjusted separately from the master volume, but the overall versatility of RC3 more than compensates for these annoyances. Some users have not been fond of the use of the advdisp.dll utility, but if you have dual display set up, as I do, it is nice to move the window to the secondary monitor and this is a better setup than the translucent window MS ATC uses on the primary screen.I have had two…

Good day to all.I'm posting this here since I've gotten a lot of e-mails lately asking about ACLoader V4.I apologize for the delay, but it's taking longer than I anticipated. The code isn't even done, then I have to test with just about every aircraft ever made. It could be January or February before release. But it'll be well worth the wait!

I am hesitant to write this because I don't experience the voice speed that some are having. I know there are some who will immediatly think " Oh he is one of those dorks who says it works when it doesn't".I have flown eight plans now under different locations and conditions. I do not get any timing delays in the voice controllers. I do get a few very clearly spoken number reads but not noticeable as dragging or delay. After reading some of the complaints of latency I had to fly again just to see if I could detect anything abnormal.I have no way of knowing why this is happening and I have no special equip. First let me echo my overall happiness with v3 but wish for better and smoother controller voices. HOWEVER-After being cleared to land (KDEN) with an AI aircraft about a mile ahead I did land, but while on rollout was told to "Go around", then told to exit next taxiway. On my flight critique I got chewed out for landing after being told to go around, and I lost my license! ???I have had the usual AdvDisp problems but seem to have got it straight now. I like to use the FSATC progressive taxi feature but find it hard to integrate it smoothly. I have also had problems occasionally with (`) not bringing up the ATC screen while using RCv3 after I have landed at my destinati…

After a 3hr 15min install on my P2 450, and only a 10min wait for my key, I loaded my first flight, After receiving my weather briefing I pressed 2 for CD and nothing. The hard drive was working, but no sound. The screen then changed to contact ground, which I did and again my hardrive went into action and again no sound.After about four hours of fooling around testing default and add-on aircraft, no sound with either, I decided to consult the forum.I did a full install, but can only find three controller wave files.Numbers 0,1,and 10.How many contoller files should their be in the RC3 directory.Any help will be appreciatedArnold

Hello gang, I am reading the manual for the third time, very carefully, and am impressed with the amount of time and effort the writer/s and all of the reviewers have put into this document. An excellent job. I have one somewhat trivial question in reference to Page 28 under the heading 'Change of Destination'. In the first paragraph one of options mentioned is "Return to Destination airport.....". Was this word meant to be 'Departure' as one 'usually' doesn't return to the 'Destination'? First let me say that ive been an avid RC user since its very first version and i am a true fan of this product (all versions) and its author. John is a true professional who really cares about his work and knows how to release a finished product out of the box...he's truly a rare breed and deserving of much praise for all his pioneering efforts in this series.While I am using (and getting used to) this newest version I just thought id like to bring up a few points of interest and give some very basic feedback after my first 5 or 6 flights. I have upgraded from v2.2 and I must say that my biggest fault with this product is the slloooow dragging voices of the RC Controllers !!!. They almost put me to sleep, taking forever to issues clearances. It just seemed that V2.2 had more flow to it. It just doesn't sound realistic enough for me. I like the other features, but believe it or not , MSATC has more flow to it even though they can issue some ridiculus clearances at times.
