I'm sure this isn't an RC problem but I'm just noticing it now because I haven't been looking for airborne AI until now. Lots of AI on the ground and my cockpit display shows other traffic in the air but I don't see it. Even had a "near miss" of less than a mile and never saw a thing. What could have made all my airborne AI disappear? Any ideas?One other problem... since loading RCV3 I notice that my weather visibility (using FSMeteo) changes drastically from cockpit view to virtual cockpit. A pause between words and phrases? How long is the pause? 1 second? 1/4 second? Do the words just drag?What do you have installed? Is there anything taking up resources? Is your sound card stand-alone, or sharing interrupts and DMA? Is you sound card set right? Do you have optimal performance set? Do you have simultaneous wav playback set to at least 6? Would this be enough to run Radar Contact v.3 to assist my gaming rig?I have no experience with LAN's but I'd be willing to try getting it hooked up.I would prefer not to put any extra load on my gaming machine. Dear all,I thought it had arrived, a parcel to collect from the post office...no such luck I have been rejected from the 2003 London Marathon. I was hoping to beat this years time, never mind.I currently have SB Audigy and a Plantronics USB headset into my PC. I can use this for online flying using VATSIM and Roger Wilco. Controller voices are heard through the headset not the speakers. All A/C sounds come from the speakers. Will I be able to use this with RC3? As I am not familiar with most of the airports in msfs 2k2, is therea way to get some guidence to the runways? Nightime seems to be the biggest issue . I relied heavyly on progressive taxing from msfs2k2. Any insight? I don't believe RC3 supports this.

I have 92% resources free with MS 98 SE. Still have to hit restore to maximize fs2k. Also, if I select change destinations, when I select 3, FS2K minimizes to desktop with the FMS display only and I have to go to the usual "restore" routine. Strange--BTW I am using all the current uipc's, etc and not running anything in background.I strongly believe there are issues with the new ADVDIS and its interface with RC3

If you are experiencing slow controller voices.Go into Start/Settings/Control Panel and double-click DirectX. Click the DirectSound tab. Check "Debug Output Level". It should be all the way to the left. If it isn't, set it there. Also, check the "Sound Playback" selection. If it's on "Primary Sound Driver" try setting to "DirectSound (xxx Wave out)".

Will RC give you a "go around" if there is an AI aircraft on the runway on which you are cleared to land? Or is that a pilot responsibility?

I just finished loading Radar Contact V.3 and followed the procedure to start my first flight. When I start my FS2002, I do not see the AdvDisp box. What am I doing wrong..Help

I have not yet gotten off the ground since installing ver. 3 on Tuesday night. My problem is that I am able to listen to ATIS, pick up my clearance, obtain taxi instructions but once I get to the hold short lines I am unable to contact tower. Even if I tune the frequency manually, I get nothing I still hear the chatter going on in the background and Fsatc issuing its own commands but I am unable to contact tower by hitting 1. This is where all my flights have ended. Please help !!Max.

Am I right in this assumption ?It looks like I have to change all the com frequencies that default into RC3 in order to keep MSFS ATC silent.I had changed the key commands to separate the menu from MSFS ATC.But it became apparent that if you dial the ATIS or what ever frequency listed in RC3 it's common to MSFS, thus you hear both ATC audio.Am I missing something and does this have to be done each time you load a new flight plan?Thanks

Hello,I am still waiting for my CD to arrive. I ordered RC3 Monday evening so I hope it comes very soon.While I am waiting for my CD to arrive, I came up with 2 questions that I want to ask.1) I want to know if there is any web site that I can view real flight plans that real pilots make so I can create a flight plan using the same waypoints as real pilots do?2) Another thing is, in real life I fly to Boston, MA (that's where I live) so if we are to land on runway 4R, we always fly over north of Boston out to the sea and then downwind then base then on final approach. Is that possible that I can fly like that using RC3?Thanks very much!!Brian

Scott-Just wanted to let you know, that after all, I just completed a beautiful satisfactory flight as follows.In the Dreamfleet Archer, from KPBI to KMIA, using FSMeteo and RCV3 (of course). I flew in the virtual cockpit with AdvDisplay undocked and unfortunately without the use of my 3D glasses.This was my first complete flight with RCV3 and I REALLY enjoyed it. It was very true to life and the commands, vectoring and voices worked perfectly.My only problems were that I was receiving two ATIS reports at once and I would still love to be able to utilize the 3D glasses with RCV3Thanks for a great program.

Quick question, has anyone been able to get Otto to fly using the DF737? I hand over the plane to her, she says she takes it, I've got the heading and altitude a/p switches pushed, but she doesn't do anything. We get cleared to a new altitude and the plane levels off at the alt in the MCP. In 2.2, she'd change the MCP settings, how can I get her to do it in ver 3?Thanks,LobaeuxBTW, an outstanding program so far, very realistic, but I do have the pauses in the controller voice. After the "Cleveland Disaster" of last night, I finally flew my first RC3.0 flight tonight -- from Houston to Dallas Love as CoExp 3734 (JetLink 3734). My flight went very smoothly and the ride for the passengers at FL240 was excellent. We arrived at KDAL Gate 27 five minutes early -- which for a flight scheduled for only 1:00 is pretty good, huh? ;) My critique suggested that I must be a rated pilot, which I'm not but, hey, at least I didn't go see Mr. Bill! :-lol :-lol :-lol First impressions: 1) I tried the AI thing but my F$ ATIS was so much louder than the RC ATIS that I cancelled the AI and F$ ATC completely. Last night I loaded up RCV3 and started on the 1st tutorial and all went great till I was told to contact Approach on freq## and when I went to the adv display app was not listed.I went through all the pages hit 9 than back to 8 no luck I kept getting messages from center to contact app but there was no way to do it.I checked the radio's they were on the right freq,I hope someone has a idea what is going one? Hi allAfter suffering high blood pressure and frustration for two days,not being able to get the wav files to play with FS2002, I came to the conclusion that my sound card "Ensoniq audio PCI" does not supportsimultaneous wave files. :-grrI did the only logical thing "ran uninstall.exe". My blood pressure is back to normal.I will re-install when I upgrade my computer sometime afer the new year.Cheers :-lolArnold
