Overall I've been very pleased with how swiftly key processing has gone for the last couple of weeks. I hope that I've gotten your key to you in an acceptable time frame.I'm starting to notice a lot of users are requesting keys from an email address which we do not have on record. This is not a real problem because I can search for your record by name.But it would make key processing go much quicker if you would use the email address that you ordered Radar Contact with when you request your key. If that is not possible please include that email address in the body of the message and tell me this is the email address I used to order RCv3.Some additional notes! In addition …

That I recieved my copy of RCv3 two nights ago and successfully installed it.Three glasses of wine, two stogies, and three or four comments from the better half, and I was airborne with RC v3. Since then have done three or four flights and am learning. Will be lurking here to get all the expert advice on the questions I have. Great job guys!

Yesterday I received my copy of RC3 and installed it (full install) on my laptop (PIII600 winXP) and widefs.I experienced the slow voice problem but I think I know why : widefs is using 80% of my cpu, I think I'm going to try to use it with TCP instead of IPX. There were a serious drop in framrate too on my FS2002 machine (AMD 1.4Ghz 512M DDRram GeForceDDR) because of widefs too.This problem will be fixed I think and is not RC3's fault.Anyway, I have a question regarding RC3 and FSATC :My laptop has a full install of rc3 and separate speakers to hear rc3 atc. RC3 is really good, well done guys. Adds a whole new dimension to simming!One question- I store most of my flight plans as files for the PIC FMC (since I fly PIC a lot). Is there any way to make these FMC flightplans into RC3 flights? If it is possible, will the RC3 controllers recognize any alt restrictions from the FMC vertical nav?Thanks,Bruce.

In RCv3, I think I understood that RC cannot discern FS AI ground traffic. If this is so, what parameters dictate a go around in RC? I ask because I seem to get a lot of these (about 50% of the time) with nominal AI settings. When I do get the go around, about half of that time there is no AI on the taxiways for the landing runway.I have reviewed the manual, if it is indeed in there please let me know.

Hey just notice on page 92 93 of instruction manual about different option that will show up on the menu while flying. I did notice that some will only show up when certain things happen, but my questions is this:Why doesn't options like emergency or low on fuel show up while flying or near your destination. I was running low the other night and got the closed window on approach and didn't know how to tell my atc that I was about to ditch low on fuel. No option in the menue to do so. Am I supposed be be bringing those situation up by pressing some other keys like RC 2.2? Or should they be already in my menu as I am flying, I don't seem them. As a matter of fast I do…

hi all just received and installed RCv3 and absolutely love it !! it is far,far better than another add on i wasted $70 on- Captain Speaking (the less said the better!) I just did the tutorial flight (KDSM-KORD) so am just starting to get used to it but the interface is extremely easy to use and I look forward to RCv4,5,6,....

I have spent considerable time making AFCAD overlays, adding gates, opening up other runways etc in some of the airports I fly into. Have also added a lot of additional realistic ai airline traffic. How will this new version of Radar Contact interact with this? For example, if I position my aircraft at a gate belonging to an overlay (say, 2LAX, an overlay for KLAX), will RC3 still recognise that I am at KLAX provided I use KLAX in the flightplanning?Also, how does it handle my vectoring when there is additional ai traffic that may also be on final for my destination runway at the same time I am?

Hi team,if i use the joystick-calibration-function of FSVIPC and after that try to load real-weather with FsMeteo into FS, it's not updated.I tried it without AdvDsp and had no problems with that, only if AdvDsp is active!FSVIPC V2.94, FSMeteo V5.2, AdvDsp version that comes with the cd!It's not a big problem, but i can not use the armed spoilers on touchdown if the joystick is not calibtated.:-jumpy Want to say that the new RC3 is outstanding!!! Program works as advertised Tks. to the development team.I flew from London, Ont. to Toronto for my first flight, and at the point approach confirmed rwy 33L I went to change to another rwy, but did not see any message advising me to change rwy.I have read the manual page 35 Approach Control which states this is the time to change rwy.I obviously have missed something very simple ,any help appreciated.Kenny G.P.S. Hi,I've got RC V3 installed using the Quick Start Guide, yet when it's up & running, I don't get any response when I enter a menu choice. I have the Tune on Contact box checked. AdvDisp shows the options, yet when pressing 1 to get the weather briefing, nothing happens. When I tune the frequency manually, the briefing plays. When I press 2 for Clearance Delivery, nothing happens. Tuning the frequency manually gets the Clearance Delivery chatter files to play, but nothing else. I saw earlier posts regarding the setting for the number of wavs playing as causing a problem. I then set the option to have no chatter, restarted everything & when I manually tune to…

Dear All,Having just received my copy in the post I have installed and am eager for my first flight. However, the only keys that work are the 1-0 number keys. All other keys have no impact in FS, eg I use the parking brake by the keyboard rather than having it set as a joystick button. Now, since installing RC3 no keys work within FS. I have to control everything by mouse on my panels or by joystick buttons.Anyone else with this problem.ThanksClowesy

Well my CD arrived yesterday morning and I've just made my first flight with V3. I flew "Speedbird 8" - a 747-400 from RJAA to EGLL.It's fantastic! Much better than V2.2 in every single respect! Congratulations to all the RC team for producing a great addon. :)I only have one complaint, and it's a very small one... throughout the flight I just made my pilot was using the wrong callsign. Instead of "Speedbird" he was saying "British Airways".Anyway, I suppose I had better read the manual now ;) Cheers :-beerchug

Flying the tutorial flight plan from Des Moines to O'Hare I was eventually vectored to an approach on Rwy 27L, or at least that's what the controller announced. Everything (almost) went well until the controller forgot me on downwind: At 40 nm out and having already crossed the localizer I finally had enough and requested a different approach (IAP approach to 27L), which I aborted and requested another vector approach. The controller then vectored me nicely for the ILS runway 22L.Why did the controller forget about me? I did keep the speed up on downwind at 245 knots indicated. This is common practice and shouldn't hurt.Another problem I encountered was prior to the forgo…

I was flying the tutorial flight KDSM-KORD. Got all the way to Chicago and changed the rwy RC gave me. And they said that I would receive vectors for that rwy. I waited and waited. Then I Clicked on RC on the tool bar and this is the message I got. "Run-time error 6 Over flow" Man I hate to be almost there and this happens.

Radar Contact V3 has got my vote for best add-on of the year! After reading the documentation a few times, have flown many of the FS2002 planes and 3rd party ones as well with NO PROBLEMS!!Hold a commerial pilot rating with over 5,000 hours PIC, many in my old restored V35 Bonanza. "It's as real as it gets" is very true when flying FS2002! :-jumpy

The plane ready at the gate, flightplan created and loaded, as described in the manual. Advdisp docked with the text - so one press 1 to get the weatherbriefing.. DEEP SILENCE - after some time you only have to option to contact control - so something have happened in silence. Pressed 1 again for Ground control - but deep silence...WHAT'S GOING ON????One thing more -it's said in the manual that you only have to look for the files once - then it will know the library next time.. As it didn't work, i tried to start over - but i had to manually look for the files again, so it don't seem to remember.....

Let me start off by saying that RC3 is a nice upgrade from the MSFS2002 ATC. It took me only about an hour to get everything up and running and to solve the slow voice problem (also I had my key in less than 2 hours). I have flown 8 short flights and here is where I am with RC3. 1.I find that RC3 works very well and other than Avdisp I like how RC works. Its fairly quick and the voices work well. I also like the added effect of the background chatter.2.I have found only a few minor bugs.
