Hi,RC 3 is brillient well done to all involved with the project, it was worth the wait. Just a quick one ref the above subject. I set the flight plan with FSNAV and used a SID out of Heathrow on a flight to OSAP. I fly a PSS Arbus A320 and built into the departure procedures are altitude constraints of 3000 ft and 5000ft. I ticked the box to use departure proceedures but I was cleared to FL150 as soon as I was established on the SID ignoring the constraints. Is there anyway to stop RC ignoring the contraints.MikeBritish Airways Virtual Senior first officer

Hi friends,today, for the first time, i had this error clicking on CONTROLLER INFO button. I found MSSTDFMT.DLL on another machine so i copied and pasted it in windowssystem folder; after that i rebooted but the error is still there. What should i do? I am a new user of RC version 3. I noticed very robot-like voices so I inquired. I was instructed on how to prioritize RC to Real Time. Even so, the voices seem mechanical compared to default ATC voices in FS2002. Not knowing what to expect from Radar Contact, I hesitate to complain, Can any of you veterans tell me what quality voices I should expect and if there is anything I am doing wrong that is preventing me from hearing what I should. Hi JD,For users of Windows XP follow these steps to make Radar Contact start with a Priority of AboveNormal. Before you start make sure you know the path to where RCV3.EXE is installed as you will probably need to amend the relevant entry below.1. Press Start and navigate to Radar Contact. Hi everybodyI'm right now on tutorial flight no 2 in learning RC3. Everything is working allright so far, except that I really have to do a lot of training trying to hear and understand what the controller i saying (while I'm programming the MCDU of the PSS Airbus at the same time. I have a question though on how long to stay in holding patterns and the instructions given to me from RC. Yesterday I entered the holding pattern outside MEM in tut2 after the controller had advised me and given me the instruction ".... expect further clearance one nine zero five". After reading all the forum inputs it appears that the solution is to upgrade to sound cards that allow multiple WAV files to be "broadcast". I do not see any solution for this coming from JD or RC generally but expect that this is going to be their final response to this abnormality.My card has no options to vary WAV input. Others have the same problem. I guess it is time to go and buy another one just to get the RCV3 working. I will go and buy another card but hey guys, at RC, when you tested this stuff you should have told us that it would only work with certain configurations! More $ to get it operational. Since I have not used RC in so long I want to make sure I am using the correct procedures. I have read the manual but there are a few things I need to tweak.1. Start FS2002, file flight plan, start FS2002.2. After it starts, minimize and then start RC.3. Choose the flight plan there and run and that will minimize RC.4. Max FS2002 and tune ATIS.At that point both FS ATC and RC operate. I am using COMM 1.I also have a problem with docking the message bar. When I dock it disappears. I have checked my panel.cfg and read only is not checked as per instructions on page 99.I do have a SoundBlaster Live 5.1 card but have yet to figure out how to increase the setting for more …

Good news from Canada's east coast. RC3 has arrived!!!!Dan was right though, the customs people gave it a good work over. Looks like they let a dog chew on it for a little bit. CD case was cracked, but the CD was intact thank goodness.Anyway, the install is now 40% done gotto go get ready to email for my reg code.

Hi!When I was flying from RJAA to WSSS, RC3.0 has suddenly ended. According to my computer,runtime error occured. I was flying with FDC (flight Deck Companion),and Time speed was *4 (4 times of normal time spending).I don't know about Runtime. So would you tell meabout this? And if you know how to avoid this,please tell me.Thanks for your help.

I just revived my copy and installed it with no problem, but when I followed the quick-start guide it dosent work after I dock the text-window it disapers and nothing happens when I push 1 to get ATIS and nothing when pushing 2 for clearens delivery, and som systems in my Flight1

It's not the biggest issue perhaps, but - i'm curious. For those using FSnavigator to create their flightplans, they will know that you have the option of removing some runways, either at the destination airport or the arrival ditto - or both. I have used that in the past, to remove the smallest runways and also excluding runways not in use at EKCH, but i have a feeling that it doesn't work in RC 3??? At least today, i have in to situations been send to depart from a runway i had excluded and one time to land at such a runway too.. As i said, not a big issue, but if it doesn't work, i will skip that part.. :-)

Hi Guys, I've been seeing a few of these "no sound" posts lately. So I'll mention something here that I've found works. On the*odd* occasion when I hit "1" on the ADVDISP I get nothing,no ATIS no nothin', and other keys dont work either. What I found is. If I tune ATIS manually, all of a suddenup it comes. Then all of the other keys in ADVDISP workjust fine. Dont ask me why and I know it sounds nuts butit does work, for me anyway.Just thought I'd mention it.Jim

I've tried a few flights from EGLL and on each occasion I'm told to climb and maintain but not given any height. I asked to see the command in text in case it was a sound problem but even then there was no altitude given. The flight plan in each case did have an assigned altitude so please can anyone tell me whats occuring.Regards Pat

We now have a program that will let you create a "mouse panel" for use with FS2002 and RC. No more having to use the keyboard to navigate the RC menus. click on the link below to see a screen shot of a partial panel I created...you'll see it right below the RC menu. It took me all of about 10 minutes, including reading the instructions. Clicking the "1 2 3" buttons simulates corresponding keystrokes. I tried it and it works. After I start Rcv3 and maximize fs2002 I am unable get any keyboard response after the AdvDisp appears.

Been getting to know and like RC3 more and more over the last two days. A couple of things I have come across.Several times I have been told to taxi into position an hold only to never receive further instructions. The last time I waited a full 20 minutes and read (thinking since I have the holding slider on full). If I go ahead and depart I do get told to contact departure as though the tower thought I should be departing.Next twice I have been told to contact departure (last time at ISP) and nothing is on frequency (11800). The Freq in Advdsp matches the tuned freq, but no dice and no departure. Finally I have the hold slider at max, but I have yet to get issued a h…

On my way from KIAH to CYYZ - passing over Evansville in Indiana some 488 miles from Toronto, RC3 decides to forget about the flightplan and tells me the distance to Toronto and an angry man tells me not to exceed 250 kts. - and i can choose visual landing etc.. No way i'm going to fly with 250 kts. - with 290 there's still almost one hour left and i'm in FL350 - not very logic.What's going on? I don't assume i can do anything about that...??So - a ruined flight..

I have tried using both the ATC of Fs2002 and RC 3.0...I try to land at KLAS but it turned into big problem....FS2002 ATC told me I was number 4 and RC ATC told me clear to land. Why didn't the RC 3.0 ATC see the planes on final? I wish you guys could figure a way to control the AI traffic too. This would make the program outstanding not saying it isn't terrific now. I just find it very confusing using two ATCs at the same time. Hi,I had a problem after installing, when re-booting I was looking at a blank screen, I waited in case windows was a little slow but to no avail I then tried Ctrl-Alt-Del but no luck, so my only alternative was to switch the computer off.After re-starting all looked good, so I started RC and sent of the email for registration. Since I received RC3, I've spent more time trying to tweak my settings to get my framerate back than enjoying the program. And today, I found what was the cause of my framerate drop : IPX/SPX.I'm using RC3 on my network computer (Laptop PIII600 196M ram winXP) with widefs, Showtext and of course fsmeteo.My "FSmachine" is an AMD1.4GHz 512Mddram with winxp too.First I used widefs default settings so I installed IPX/SPX on both computers and RC3 on my laptop. My framerate went from 18/20fps on ground to 10/12fps :(Today, I decided to try the network tweaking (after trying many others without success) so I configured widefs with TCP and uninstalled IPX/SPX and big surprise : …

Hi allThere have been a couple of posts regarding this issue but I could not find any specific info. I am running FSMeteo and FSFlightMax with not problem on the second machine (laptop). I havent yet tried to install RC yet but was working through the thought process. During installation it would seem that inititially RC would not be able to locate FS2002 and that it would need to ask you where it was located or there may be an ini file entry. I've just tried the KBNA-KMEM tutorial (#2). An excellent flight. I started FS (in low priority) , then RC3 (in Realtime priority), set things as referred to in the tutorial, then started RC3- and then RC3 minimised itself.This didn't concern me until I came to save the flight. The tutorial mentions maximising RC3 (to save the flight)- but maximising isn't an option (it's "grayed out"). What am I doing wrong?Thanks,Bruce.PS. I'm running WinXP- although I don't think I'm running RC3 in any compatibility mode- as mentioned in the FAQ- but I am using the .bat file referred to here to start the app in "Realtime" priority.
