I'm running RC on a networked computer with WideClient.I'm also running "Show AdvDisplay" which works well.I am trying a control panel for RC on the 2nd computer as well.The problem I am having is that I can only enter keystrokes forRC on the main computer, not the computer on which RC is running.Is this normal? Also, the control panel for RC does not work.It's there but clicking anything with the mouse does not work.Any ideas?

1) a location in canada, where i will hear qnh instead of altimeter. people have said they heard it, i can't duplicate it2) some people say they get 3 altimeter calls in a row. i can't duplicate it, and no one has sent me a dat where i can see it happen.anything else i'm missing?

I can't get RC to load abovenormal I copied the file over and edited for my path %comspec% /C "start /ABOVENORMAL "C:Program Filesrcv30rcv3.exe" and when I try to start I go into a dos panel.I will try to upload a picture of my desktop to show.When I go back to regular setup the voices are very slow.I can't figure this out. I use MSFS2002 weather without any problems until the last few flights or so I noticed. I found myself flying into severe head winds on final so on the last flignt from LAX to DFW I checked. The forcasted weather at DFW was SSE @4 and the winds aloft were NNW@ 24/112 at different levels. RC3 assigned us 31R and our gages on DF737 400 confirmed that with winds 320@24. At 4 miles from the TZ the winds suddenly changed to 154@4 which what was forcasted. RC3 is not picking up weather early enough or is not clearing out enroute weather. Anything I can do to remedy this? Otherwise the program is fantastic, Thanks, Tom

Yesterday, I was chugging happily along at cruise altitude in my Cessna Cardinal with a 57 kts cross wind from the west. Suddenly, I was instructed to change heading to 005 because of traffic. As it were, my track was 020 in accordance with the plan, but because of the wind the plane was pointing at 003 or thereabouts.I thought: "Surely, he wouldn't want me to turn two degrees right for traffic, so he must be referring to my track across the ground." I therefore turned left until I was tracking 005. (My Cardinal has a nice GPS SL320 that makes this easy to confirm.)After a brief moment of peace, he yelled at me again, asking me why I hadn't initiated the change of heading…

I just finished a flight from Vancouver to Thunder Bay and didn't hear any controller say the pressure in qnh.Rob

Why does the Tower in RC3 always say that I am number 2 or 3 when on final? I don't think I have ever heard "cleared for landing" without being told "number 2 or 3". Even flying into an airport that is not set up for AI. As a matter of fact I made the mistake of taxing onto the runway of my private airport, with a 2650ft runway, and heard Tower tell someone to go around and heard a LARGE Jet go over my head and had tower yell at me for not holding short. I downloaded new AdvDisplay 2.0 And in that folder there was "show AdvDisplay Text"But it seemes no difference with AdvDisplay 2.0.I am not good at English I often get confused especially when hearing from the ATC. So a text is very useful to me.Ideally all the spoken words displayed on the text field would be nice.But even for those who have to take great pains in studying English this RC is really fun !

Hello JDHere are some suggestions on your next upgrade for RC3.1. When The ATC wants you to change course, could Turn left or turn right to heading # be use??2. Is it possible for the ATC to be more aware of incoming AC before being told to taxi into position and hold. I had several major crashes due to this.I still think this is an A#1 product, but these are 2 issues that irritates me.Bill M

I have been trying RCV3 with the various "flags" for start up priority and have found that it will not run at all with the "high" option.Just a bit of disk activity then nothing.Has anyone else found this?Or is it just me (again!)

I am about to uninstall and delete all of my FS2002 folders and completely reinstall the whole application.Will RCV3 require any special handling when I have finished or will I need to reistall it as well?Thank you!

Radar Contact is a fantastic application. I am really enjoying it--and learning a great deal as well :)One quick problem: I keep being asked to taxi into position on the runway and hold and then Tower never returns to clear me for takeoff. Hi allI have downloaded AdvDisp 2.0 in the hope it would solve the ActiveSky display problems (along with a couple of other proggies that use text) but appear to have a slight problem. Although multi-line text is appearing in the AdvDisp window I cannot clear the "RCV3 is ready" message from the green bar where I would expect the other programs to display their messages.I must stress that I haven't tried a full flight yet and I may be jumping the gun but that's how it looked on initial use. Not sure if anyone else has had problems with using FSUIPC 2.96, but I sure did. After upgrading to version 2.96 (and WideFS 5.40), I started having many problems with RC3.0. My transponder would keep going out during the flight, the altimeter kept going to 00.00, RC would not refresh at its normal rate (long delays in Otto responding to ATC, and keystrokes taking minutes to be recognized). Also, my WideClient.log file was filled with connection errors. I went back to FSUIPC 2.95 and WideFS 5.30, and things are once again working fine.Has anyone else run into anything like this, or I am the unlucky one.Thanks!

I heard some RC3 chatter about Hawkins field over in Jackson Mississippi. Sounded like y'all are pretty familiar with the area. I believe I heard the controller say he learned to fly over there.Pretty cool. I fly out of Vicksburg, Mississippi just a few miles west of Jackson. I fly practice approaches into Hawkins quite frequently.

I have been trying to get rcv3 to work properly on my system and have found that sometimes when changing views in an aircraft the "new" screen takes a while (say 5 secs) to redraw while using rcv3 but is instantaneous when not using rcv3.Also i have tried using the "high" switch on the command line but although the hour glass displays for a short while ,the program does not open (it does work OK in realtime and low)I feel there must be something amiss somewhere!I have reinstalled Win XP and FS2002 twice to try to get rid of the problem but it stays the same.System P4 2.0ram 512Sb16 pciAny suggestions would be appreciated or even if someone else has the same problems..let …

I have downloaded FSUIPC 2.96 as recommended and now have a small problem. I am in the habit of using FS ATC in the background (that is changing frequencies to get the chatter, but not making contact). Now I find that it appears not to be recognising the "1" key and I suspect that FSUIPC is "eating" it. Can anybody help!ThanksGary

I am familiar with assigning pre-recorded chatter to countries, but if I want airport specific chatter, would I use the ICAO code as some of the examples in the winwood directory show? Would RCV3 recognize those ICAO codes?-Brendan

When doing an IAP approach where there is no approach control after selecting rwy and approach at approx 40 miles from destination airport I receive decent until initial.If I attempt to deviate from the heading which is usually direct to the airport in order to set up for an Ils approach I am told do you see yourself on course, fly heading XXXOnce I am within 10 miles of the airport I am advised radar service terminated contact Tower.After this command I can then diviate to do the full approach.Is there a command I am not requesting which will allow me to diviate prior to radar service being terminated, which will let me set up for the ILS approach without going direct t…
