Greetings, Today I upgraded to ADVDISP V 2.00. I can't get the window to dock anywhere on any of my panels (not even default panels). When I try to dock the window the dock option is disabled, no matter where I try to place it or how I size it. Can someone help? RPM.

Hoi JD,I love RC3 and fly mostly not without it. I run the latest beta 3.01So, my little problem is that when I have had to select and call missed approach, I take vectors and get vectored to the point where I get handeled to approach control. He gives me the same wrong runway I got first time. First time I changed the runway, 'cause FS2k2 ATIS told me the other one. Well, RC3 seems not to remember my change of runway. I had to change it all again. And that by flying a B733, not a single prop GA. Why is it often that RC3 gets the wrong runway and not the one FS2k2 ATC gets by listening to ActiveSky? Well, on multip[le occasions have I now flown flights in which Otto, when at the helm, will miss (not really misses, but fails to register that he/she flew right over it) and circles back several times until she's satisfied with the fact that she was right overhead it. Anybody having the same problem? If so, how does one remedy that? Also, can I fly in GPS mode without having Otto engaged and still get vactored into my destination?SP

Had a real lousy flight today! Kind of broke the straw. Activesky and RC3 combination (latest versions) just do not work properly together. Frequent altimeter calls from RC3, tried my flight twice both with on line and offline files. Both times the result the same, on approach, frequent chastisement from RC3 on maintaining alt, RC3 just can't see what ActiveSky is reporting. Hitting the barometer key gave me mixed results. RC3 was seeing the same altimeter settings I was but on alt-tabbing out I see the Active sky settings as different and RC3 is not picking it up. Very frustrating! Think I'll dump the ASKy program. Ground control at destination clears me to "taxi to ". I would expect it to be to a gate - but no gate is ever given. Am I missing a .wav file?

Finally, I could use RC and it is incredible: finnaly I can hear the spanish english accent...Well, I got a problem.When I'm autorised to ILS approach and after they ask me to contact tower, I cannot change the frequency with the menu and I land without autorisation...I've tryed to change manually the frequency at the airplanes panels but it doesn't register the frequency change...What can I do? I just got RC 3 and was wondering what is the best flight planner to use with it. I would like to be able to print out nice maps along with SIDs and STARs as well as have easy to read and understand documentation. Any suggestions? Thanks :-)

Hi allI re-installed FS2002 recently and of course Radar Contact was installed next, I have the 2.1 CD and I installed it, but when I went to the jdtllc web page I couldn't find a valid link to download the V2.2 Upgrade (which I understand is free) everything is talking about Version 3 (Which I will consider upgrading to later).I can't run V2.1 on FS2002 as is..Can someone please tell me where I can download the V2.2.exe file.Thanks in advanceItai

Whilst flying from Lirf to Egkk, I was told to alter course because of traffic. Shortly after being told to resume normal course, I was told I was not on course. I was then directed to go to a course which would have been in the opposite direction of my destination.I`ve seen this point brought up before on here without a reason which applied in this instance.If it was because I was off course (as instructed) then why send me in the opposite direction? How would this correct the situation?Apart from this, I`m very pleased with the new version, even though this fault has carried over from previous versions.Cheers,crashproof

OK. So I just got RCV3 today and in general, I was having a lot of fun with the product, until I tried to fly a direct GPS routing between EDDF and KIAH. When I tried to do that, RCV3 maps the route as a southerly route over Spain and the Azores, which is so not what this routing should look like. Direct Route between EDDF and KIAH should run just of Greenland and along the East Coast down into IAH. I read an earlier post, that suggested trying flex DP, which I tried to no avail. Then, I tried the "trick" with having the slave set as Nav mode and to have HDG hold and ALT hold. Also did not work. I constantly got reprimanded by RCV3. The last thing I tried that was semi-su…

I have installe RCV3 as per instructions. All seem to be in place.I have advdisplay 2.0 and FSUIPC 2.96.The manual says that I will find an icon in the upper left corner of the screen once I start RCv3. No such icon shows up (neither in my P4 2.8 Ghertz laptop, neither in my desk top)What I do in the Lap top is to activate advdisplay , resize it and dock it.Then I start RCv3. Forgive me ahead of time if this question has been answered...My wife bought me RC V3 for Valentines day and everything was great until I tried to use it. I followed the quick start instructions but I get no controller audio at all. Text works fine. If FS2k2 isnt running, I can load RC and click the speaker icon to hear the controller say my selected callsign, that works fine. But when in fs2k2, I hear nothing. What am I doing wrong???

RC v3.01 using MSFS generated flight plans. At the end of each flight after the handoff to ground I am told to "Taxi to ". That's it. Sounds like ground can't fill in the blank here. Any ideas? Should I have asked beforehand and in the flight plan which gate or ramp I intend to use?Thanks,

Hi Well I've finally got RC V 3.0 up and running and I must say it is fantastic!!!!! The voices are a "bit" choppy (running XP on a P4 1.9 512 meg geforce 64 and SB live!) but will try the tips given in the manual and readmes and on this fourm. I tried the Des Moines - O'Hare tutorial and got the "you must be a rated pilot" at the end :-hah Ok I gave Otto the plane once at cruise but anyway, everything worked as advertised gonna spend the weekend playing around exploring it. So to EVERYONE not just jd and Doug but all of you thanks for awakening my interest in FS again.

I am using RC3.01 in the "Realtime" mode and it is a great addition to FS2002. A couple of items are not very realistic however.On jet aircraft during climb when passing though 10,000 ft, one has to lower the nose to pick up speed. The controller is too quick to criticize altitude control.On jet aircraft during descent, again the controller is too quick to criticize speed control. It takes time to slow a big aircraft especially during descent even when deploying the speed brake.Something that is realistic in the real world are long periods of holding short of the runway before takeoff. Waiting two minutes in a game is frustrating.RichR

I am sorry to bother you all with this, but I am getting a hard freeze while listening to the ATIS at the beginning of the Radar Contact session. I am not sure if ATIS has anything to do with it, but the freezes occur at the beginning of a flight while I am listening to Wx Brf and before contacting departure.Any ideas on something I could try?
