Hi friends, today i took a short flight from Stockolm Arlanda to Joensuu Finland (wonderful addon scenery grabbed at FSNordic site).RC controller info only have tower and ATIS but not ground, departure or arrival; does it mean that EFJO is a non terminal airport? Is that possible with 2 ILS, one for each rwy (11 - 28)?Think i need help on managing this kind of approach, infact, when about 80 miles off EFJO controller told me something i did not understand and the available options were 1)affirmative 2)negative.I selected affirmative and went through a menu until ILS Rwy28; after that controller started giving instructions again but...Can anyone explain in simple words how d…

I'm running Windows XP Home.My original shortcut target reads "C:Program Filesrcv30rcv3.exe"This is what I added to the shortcut target.%comspec% /C "start /ABOVENORMAL C:Program Filesrcv30rcv3.exe"When I start RCV3 (with 3.1 installed) I get this message.Windows cannot find 'C:Program'Make sure you typed the name correctly,etc.,etc.Also noted that my icon for the shortcut changed to a dos icon...What am I doing wrong....Any help would be appreciated.

I just got a new computer with win xp pro.I don't understand Ray Proudfoot's explanation on how to speed up the voices.I do what he says but it tells me I have an invalid path.RC 3 is in program files.I did it with my old unit with win me.Do I need PRC View?I typed in start/ABOVENORMAL c:radarcontact3rcv3.exe.Also,there was an explanation a few months back on how to eliminate some of the controllers voices if you are only flying in the US.Can someone steer me to that also? Thanks,Ron

Hi, I am trying to conduct a flight with RC v3.0. Im trying to go from OMDB (dubai) to OJAI (Amman). The wx and clearance delivery works fine, even the push and start works great! However when I near the runway and try to contact the tower, nothing happens! The menu won't change and no communications are heard. I even tried calling the tower for my takeooff from the gate! it worked and Abort takeoff was displayed, however I could not use that option and even after takoff the menus did not work or change! Pls I desperatly need someone to help me! Any help will be appriciated. Thanks for any help:)rmaan.

I am planning to make a first ever transoceanic flight. How will RC301 handle this?I would like to depart in the evening to arrive in the morning. I know there is a feature to pause at 200 miles. I suspect that I will be able to take control with RC then for vectoring etc.I am curious though as to what happens during the overnight period when I am asleep. As I will probably be flying a PSS or MelJet 747 with PSS panel, will I be receiving traffic deviation calls that cannot be handled by the non-standard autopilot? Or will RC just follow the NAT track?Any help is appreciated. Thanks Dom

  13. Those who enjoy using real-world flight plans with RC3 might like to know that I've just released 115 plans for various types of Regional Jet aircraft in *.pln format. The plans cover a wide variety of UK internal and UK-Europe flights and are available from the libraries at AVSIM.com and Flightsim.com as 'rj_fpl.zip'.PeteP

Hey Guys,Question about a flight I made yesterday. Plan was from KPBF to KCHA using RC v 3.1 and Active Sky v 1.5 weather. Shortly after takeoff I handed the comms and plane over to the co-pilot. Didn't notice the altimeter until instructed to descend to FL140. After leveling off at FL140 the altimeter stayed at 29.92. It stayed that way the rest of the flight and I didn't get yelled at. Made a couple of quick checks and finally looked at the transition level. It was set at 0. This was the first chance I'd had to play with RC 3.1 since I updated from 3.0 to 3.1. That explained that part.Now...... reloaded the same flight with the correct transition level set in …

jd, I'm getting a new computer built which I pick up today. I've asked my builder to copy over my old C drive onto my new one. It will be in a folder called OldC. If I reinstall RC3.0 from the CD then copy over all the files from OldC, will RC work? Or will I require a new key? I've rearranged some of the voices in the Wav files that I want to keep. I'm giving my old computer up to my wife so she doesn't need FS2k2 or RC :-lol SteveOld sys: AMD900 Mhz 640Mb PC133 SDRAM 40Ghz 7200RPM HD Hercules 3D Prophet II MX 32Mb (GeF2)New sys: P4 2.4 Ghz 533Mhz FSB 512Mb PC266 DDR RAM 80Ghz 7200RPM HD Ti4200 128Mb GeForce4

Hi;I'm posting this here because I have had a worsening of this problem since installing RC 3. My cursor, both in FS Navigator and on my FS2k2 screen fades and at times is all but invisible. I seem to remember a suggestion for a fix for this and I think it was in something I was reading about RC.Can anyone help? Thanks;Hank

HI, I was just wondering since FSTraffic2002 is getting ready to come out.... Would there be any compatibility issues with RCV3?? I realize that FSTraffic creates it's own traffic and I didn't know whether RC is solely based on FS2002's AI traffic or if it's flexible with other "traffic" creating software. Thanks for any help!!

I have settled on a particular config for 3.01 that some may find interesting/usefull. When I fly with RC it is usually in conjunction with FS_Meteo (5.1) and S-Combo. My machine is an AMD 1.33 with 512Mb of primary and a GF4 MX420, running Win2K Pro.I use the following shortcut to invoke RC:%comspec% /C "start /ABOVENORMAL F:FS2002AddonRCv3rcv3.exe" /highI've tried just using the args to rcv3 with the following results: "/low" <- RC takes many minutes to get setup and running, and then doesn't want to respond in flight. "/high" <- slow speech, no better than running with 'Normal' exe priority. "/realtime" <- fluid speech, but RC sometimes won't respond t…

I haven't been issued a hold the last couple of flights with holding option set at 100%. I seem to remember that you have to have a VOR within 5 miles of your arrival airport. Does it have to be the last waypoint? I've set up STAR approaches and included the VOR as my last waypoint (right AT the airport) so it will be part of my flightplan although I don't actually ever fly to it.When I used to get the holds, I was usually straight on to the VOR and was issued the hold 40 +/- miles out. Now with the STARs, I'm not straight on to the VOR. Could this be the problem? Can someone help my poor addlepated mind recall how to set this up properly? *:-*Thanks, Adam
