Hello,Why is the last vector call from Approach answered by "Will Do All That"?Is this the way real pilots answer at this point of the flight?All the other responces are repeats of the instructions from ATC. In my opinion this is a very important call and should be repeated so Approach knows you understand. Also since Approach gives so much infomation at that point I would like to hear it repeated so that I am sure of the instructions as there have been times that I missed part of it. I was assigned runway 6L at KLAX, but requested 7L. OK. When I was cleared for takeoff on 7L, I was also given a "fly heading 055". As soon as the wheels left the ground, the controller was on me for not flying the correct heading.If this is a common procedure within RC3.01, I think a little more time needs to go by before issuing scoldings.Thanks.

Sorry to bother you all, but I have tried everything I know to do :(I have been trying to fly KAST to KOLM with RC for a few days now. Everything is looking good from KAST until I get handed over to approach at KOLM. At that point, they start vectoring me in to the runway, but then vector me out farther than the complete flight distance! They say they are sending me downwind for spacing, but never get back in touch (note: it is never the actual downwind for the runway or relative to the wind, but they may use downwind more broadly?).I used FSNavigator to make the pln file.KAST to KOLM@10000 / AST.RINDS.OLMAny suggestions? I've started doing some flights across the pond. Before I had RC3 I would simply do a GPS direct flight plan and it would pretty much mirror the North Atlantic Tracks (NATs). If I do a RC3 flight I am unable to do a GPS direct flight because it appears RC3 does not use great circle navigation when calculating the heading to the next waypoint. (I would take off from Atlanta and fly due east over the middle of the Atlantic....not very realistic.)Does this sound correct?If so...is there anyone using NATs with RC3? What flight planner did you use as the FS2002 flight planner has a huge gap in the north atlantic.Also...any thought of modifying the RC3 flight planner (for th…

Hi there.Question 1, can I use my planned FS2002 flightplans with RC?Because I did try to fly from EHAM to EFHK and got turned around dead in the oposite direction.Tried it twice and the same result each time.Question 2, also did't get a takeoff clearance after I had been cleared for positioning on the runway.Waited 10 minutes before taking off without permision.Happend with the same flight. Again 2 try's with same results.Somebody out there with the same problems?Would like some pointers.Thank you and enjoy!Carel.

Hello, I wonder if there is any information available as to the specific purpose for the numerous sound folders in the Winwood folder. By that, I mean, which group of folders belong to the pilot and copilot, which group belongs to the various controllers. I know I did see a reference to the grouping previously but can't seem to locate that info now. I am running RCV3.Thanks

W98SE, RC 3.00.After upgrading to FSUIPC 2.972 and ADVDISP 2.01, as well my machine to a P4 2.53 Gz (from PIII 550 Mz) 512 2700 DDR, GeForce 4 Ti4200-128 . . .The controller now speaks a phrase of a few words, then I get a two second pause, then more. At one time enroute I heard a second controller's voice interrupt with an altimeter reading. Chatter is off, FS-ATC was not activated. I did have the ATIS button checked in FSUIPC. Only COM 1 is active in this aircraft.I use the batch file to set RC at high priority.Anybody else experience this? I have not had the time to take another hour's flight since this occurred. Hi,Last night when an AI aircraft came too close I received the usual traffic call, then the controller contacted the AI aircraft to alert him to my presence. The controller addressed the AI aircraft as "Sierra 1793". It was only because I had Peter Dowson's Trafficlook open at the time that I realised the aircraft was actually "Speed Bird 1793" (British Airways).I assume that for some reason "Speed Bird" is not recognised by the traffic call code, and "Sierra" is used as a compromise. Other airlines' callsigns are OK (e.g. United) during traffic calls.RC does use "Speed Bird" correctly both as the callsign of the user's aircraft, and also in generated chatter.This was wi…

Forgive me if this has been asked already. I would like to contact default ATC for taxi instructions to the runway, so I can hear the AI aircraft actual chatter. Then switch to RC ATC from take off to final approach at my destination, then contact fs2002 ground control again. I want to do this via the auto tune feature of the default ATC. But, everytime I try contacting ground or even just ATIS via default FS2002 ATC, I hear both the fs version and radar contact simultaneously. I tried remapping my RC keys so they aren't the same keys used as the default ATC but it doesn't matter. I hear both ATC simultaneously. The only way that I know I can do what I want is by m…

I`ve only just started using PIC 767 and have managed a few flights including using the FMC.I decided to do some practice landing and started having problems.I`m coming in at about 4500 at 180. I`m dead in line with the runway from about 3 miles out. The ILS is set in nav1 correctly. When I press the AP button the aircraft doesn`t line up at all. The glide slope seems to be correct but that may just be a fluke.In a normal flight from a to b, everything works fine.I`ve worked out that when practising, I`m not doing something that I am doing in a normal flight. But I can`t figure out what.Hope someone can help.Cheers

I just started using FSBUILD in combo with FSNAVIGATOR as recommended by a tutorial to get ready for RC 3.0. I built the FP in FSBUILD to PIT Pittsburgh using the CIP-Grace2 Rwy 28L STAR. I then pressed the BUILD button and sent the plan KAVP-KPIT to FS2002 and FSNAV. When I went to FSNAV I found the plan and opened it and saw the route on the map but my plan didn't show the STAR complete with the fixes to runway 28L, nor did it show the "green bar" indicating a STAR route in the plan, just the main waypoints CIP, EARED, GRACE, and PIT. The map only showed a single gray line to the airport but not to the runway. I searches within FSNAV and Found a GRACE1 28L STAR. When I …

HI EVRY ONE INEED HLPE, AS I AM NEW USER FOR RC3 THE PROGRAM IS MAGNIFICENT, BUT I HAVE PROBLEM WITH VECTORING AFTER TAKE OFF. I DO NOT GET ATC VECTORS TO MY FIRST WAYPOINT OR SECOND. just wanted to say I updated my hard drive today went from 8.5g to 60g. what a differance even I was supprised. But the reason for this post is to say when I went to use rc3 it would not run. I had to get another key. well Rick sent me a key in less then 2 hours. That is service. There support is second to non! I may have to send for another key because I still have 2.2 on may system. Just wanted to say thanks and great service. keith

Either the new FSUPIC 2.972 is causing dysfunction in Radar Contact, which I doubt, OR....Am using WideFS 5.41 by the way too, Radar Contact does not seem compatible with PICA320??..... is that possible JD? What I am observing is that upon takeoff, RC wants me to contact the destination approach. Am using it on LAX to SLC run. 135.50 is SLC's Approach!! I've started and restarted several times AND used with a native FS2002 aircraft, which worked just fine. Anyone else having RC problems with PICA320??Randy Jura, KPDX

Hi folks,first one is v3.1 related and surely it has been posted yet: now, when at the gate pilot says: ...is with you at... and nothing else: maybe he'll be able to say for example ...is with you at 15 once in RC preferences gate 15 is selected?The second: is there a way to fix scenery cache? Hi there Rick.Thank you for your response and most of today I have been trying to fly with RC and chanching the commandline switch to high has improved the speech a bit.I downloaded the 3.01 version and far as I can see there are no problems,but again what do I know, I'm new at this!What bothers me is the fact that RC and ATC don't really work together and I ended up having my IFR flightplan canceled by the ATC and they keep nagging for me to change back to there Squickcode (I don't if I spelled this one right?).Further I noticed that my airspace has become empty and very silent..Has this anything to do with ATC canceling on me?The reason being for them canceling the …

I use LAGO's Schiphol Amsterdam (EHAM) and installed an update (5p-lago-v20.zip) by Marcel Ritzema. It works fine and the runways shows in FS 2002.However I can not choose 18R or 36L in RC 3.1 .Is there a way to solve this problem?Thank you in advanceRobert

Hello,Is there a change we get "Speech Recognition" in the future RC?If not, can you please motivate that for us?At the moment there is a ATC program on the market named 'FSCom'at http://www.pointsoftware.de/The speech works very good and Interacts flawless on your voice!Only its a pitty that it has not that much options as in RadarContact :(Can you guy's of RC take a look at it, and see if there are any possibility's to Integrate Speech near the future for RadarContact?Thanksvortovor
