Dear jd,Since deleting a "saved flight" two days ago, I have gotten nothing but "off course" warnings and "busted altitudes" galore.Yet I am perfectly on course and altimiters precisely set. I deleted the flight through the RC Folder in Windows Explorer. Was this wrong?Clearly, RC is not seeing/detecting my aircraft as it should.I got perfect critiques before this.Should I reinstall RC?Thanks,Johm Wyatt

Using the Captain Sim 727 with RC3.1 update...fs2002 crashes right after pressing the start button in rc (and youre about to go back into the sim)Could this be an advdisp prob?...It also crashes with another plane ive tried but havent tried more than 2 different aircraft. This seems to be related to the advdisp module because it doesnt crash as long as the advdisp is disabled.I dont have it docked eithershould i just go back to 3.0?ThanksDave

Hi friends,after three failed landings at KSEA i decided to post.Coming from KSLC in a beautiful trip i have been vectored to rwy 16L but in all three attempts my aircraft couldn't firmly keep on the localizer and i had to start a missed approach procedure.Later i checked file r.txt and...KSEA,11900,150,16L,180,110.3KSEA,9425,150,16R,180,111.7KSEA,9425,150,34L,360,111.7KSEA,11900,150,34R,360,110.3while approach course should be 161

Is there anyway that I can turn down the volume of the ATC. I want tobe able to hear the FS2002 ATC on the same volume level. Have tried increasing the slider for the ATC but it hardly made a difference.Ken

hello folks , im having a problem with RC3 and pic 320 airbus , the problem is when i hand over the com to otto , she will do as they say but the freq on the pedastal will not change, tower will then call again, and she will answer them but nothing will happen, the only way is fore me to take control and manualy change it.this is a bit disturbing with all i have to do at take off.i have already been over to the wilco,s site and thay say it has to be your software.they say it could possibly be 3.01.the pic airbus is no joke of a plane , and i really need otto to perform.please help me thanks..........camtech

How's this for total frustration? I was near the completion of a perfect flight with the Dreamfleet 737 flying the RC3.0 tutorial KDSM-KORD. For the first time, I didn't make any altitude, course, or speed infractions and I was handed over to approach. I was at 10000 and 240 knots looking forward to a nice approach, landing, and hopefully a nice end of flight critique. I just finished entering a new altimiter setting and then everything froze!!! I got a pop-up box saying" FS2002 has encountered a problem and needs to close. Hi guys; I've an idea that I'd like to throw out for comment and hopeful inclusion into a future version of RC. Many of us use both RC and online ATC like VATSIM. I generally prefer a live controller when available, but VATSIM coverage is nearly always spotty and unpredictable. What I'd love to see is a way to engage and disengage RC as I transit unmanned ATC sectors in VATSIM's cyberskies. As a starting point, I'd envision an interface that allows a means (menu option or squawk change) of placing RC into a "ride-along" mode while under ATC from a live online controller...upon entering unmanned VATSIM airspace, a menu option to request direct to a fix along the fligh…

Ever since upgrading to 3.01, when I try to leave Approach control to get weather, all I get is "KFOO local ATIS information" and then the ATIS transmission is terminated and the comms are automatically switched back to Approach.Any idea what's going on here?

Hi there,Lately I had to do a reinstall of WindowsXP and all my Sim relatedprograms, RC being one of them.Before my reinstall,RC was working....how shall I frase this a littleslow.Including slow responding key inputs.Speech was not realistic even after setting high priority.Also upgraded to 3.01 and nothing dramatic.Anyway to cut a long story short, I reinstalled all programs used before the crash exept Editvoicepack (used for adding on callsigns/voicepacks with AI).Ofcourse I can not be a 100% sure but because this the only programnot installed and is also speech related it might have influencedRC.Today RC responces fast speech is normal (almost)no keyboard problemsSo an…

Hello, friends,Does anyone know if and when, on a new version, any of the chatter files will be replaced and/or updated?I ask mostly to prevent sadness when hearing the callsigns of our old friends like TWA and any others that may permanently venture off the radar screen.

When RC leaves radio freq to get weather when landing where does it get weather update from? I can hear FS ATc reporting weather along with RC reporting. But for some reason RC ignores FS runway landing info. How can I change this??Bill M

jd:Upoin arriving at the active runway, I am (sometimes)issued a hold. The controller tells me that it will be less than a minute. I know that I am not a very patient guy and I thought it just seemed to me like these holds were considerably longer than a minute. Last night I timed two different holds and both were approximately two minutes. Is this timing affected by running "high" priority? In planning trans-Atlantic or trans-Pacific flights, where waypoints are often only referenced by their lat / long values, how do people enter those into a flight plan for RC3.1? I use the FS2k2 flight planner, and have not yet figured out how to enter such waypoints into a flight plan. Do others here use other flight planners, and if so- which ones work with waypoints such as this?Thanks,Bruce.

Just built myself a new PC:AMD Athlon XP Barton 2800 Corsair 1GHZ DDR RAMAsus A7N8X Deluxe Board80GB Western Digital HDDDVD/CD player 52xCD/Burner,And I'm using the same copy of WinXP Pro that I got installed successfully, also the same copy of my RC3 that I used for FS2002, but I'm getting some really bad errors trying to get this software installed.I get such errors as 'Access Violation at address 00401E1F. Write of address 00000052' Also, 'Exception EAccess Violation in Module INSD.tmp at 00000BD8. Access Violation 0040DE8. Read address 00000001'What on earth does this mean and why can't I get this installed?.These amongst many errors similar to this appear to happen …

Hi, just one question. When I fly in Alaska, namely "PANC" I get no chatter at all for that part of the world. I get the normal RC chatter regarding my flight plan and no random chatter for anywhere in Alaska. Very strange because I get no problems with other parts of the world. Any ideas??Thanks,Tom

I started FS and RC and wanted to start with ATIS, just like any time before. But... RC only plays a strange hissing or noise. No voices anymore. I don't know what happened as I didn't change anything with my settings.Any clue???Thank you!Sam

I've only had RC for 2 days now, and I'm throughly enjoying it. Besides being a much more featured ATC than the default MS one, I had no idea about the "flight critque." My first two flights, from KBGR -> KBWI and KJFK -> KBWI went well, and I got congratulated for my excellent performance. I thought, "yeah, I'll bet that's what you always say." Um, no.I flew from KSFO -> KLAX but accidently programmed my FMC for KSFO -> KBWI. After reinstalling RD+ 3.01 I noticed that Runways 36 L,R,C are no longer a option.Has Schiphol changed overnight? and nobody told me?If anybody has a idea please let me know.Thanks a lot, happy flying this weekend.Carel

HiI made a small program that RC3 users can find usefull. The program allows changing sound boards. This is helpful when one has 2 boards on the same computer (like board 1 connected to speakers and board 2 connected to headphones) and wishes to run FS2002 on speakers and add-ons in the headphones like RC3 or ActiveSky.Available at: www.airsim.net Download section.Jos
