Hi, I just flew into Zurich (LSZH) and was vectored to Rwy 32. That's fine, but I use FSNav as well and the frequency for Rwy 32 which I believe is the correct one is 108.30 in FSNav while RC displays 111.75. I tried both but 108.30 seems to be the one that works. Probably Richard Stefan's latest AIRAC 0311 Navigation Data files are wrong, which I am using in RC?Regards,Tom

Been away from RC for about a year and a half. Am just getting back into FS after a well deserved rest. Got lots done. The wife's TO DO list is almost blank. Anyway, I was flying with FSATC and had a situation that was wondering how I could handle it in RC. I was expected to climb to 14,000 feet. This is in CANADA, if that matters. My Baron 58 could not sustain that altitude with the winter storm over the area and I was bounced up and down by 500 feet. MSATC eventually cancelled my IFR clearance. I remember that in RC you could deviate for weather but does that just mean left or right? I wanted to drop a couple or few thousand feet. I had no choice. I had to. …

Hi, i have not bought radar contact yet as RC3 doesn't interact properly with AI. But i hear that you've started work on RC4 which WILL be able to control AI. So can you tell me any more about it? Will it be a full replacement for FS9 ATC? and (this is not a request for a release date) can you give a rough guess on how long it might take to develop. i.e: 1 month, 6 months or even a year, just so i (we) have an idea. Thanks VERY much, i look forward to RC4, Mark

Hi JD,I am having a problem with Controller voices, I'll get ATIS then maybe clearance and then no Tower voice even though I know I'm being called as the acknowledge message comes up, then after I'm airborne I may or may not get departure and then may or may not get Control and this goes on right through the flight. In the next flight it could be different with Tower and maybe with departure.I have looked at other posts that mention this problem and I have looked in the Winwood files 1-12, this is what I have:1-10292-11343-11344-11345-11356-11347-11348-11349-113410-113411-412-1I have installed fullwave.zip and am running RC 3.1 with the latest FSUIPC, this happens in both…

JD,I finally had a chance to work through the problem I was experiencing ...Just now inbound to KATL (CRG.SINCA3) I checked weather when within 50 miles (Activesky is locking weather at 60 miles). ATIS reported the altimeter as 3014. The *current* altimeter (per center) was 2978. I kept 2978 set (as I should ;-)).Center hands me off to approach - no update on the altimeter. Approach hands me off to tower - no altimeter. Tower clears me to land - no altimeter. I land at KATL and the altimeter reads ~680 (more like Chicago than Atlanta). Just as tower tells me to contact ground - I get the field altimeter setting - 3014!The same thing happened earlier when landing at…

Using RC3.11 (still beta?) with FS9, When I arrive at the destination airport, getting out the runway, I'm always told "go to the ramp" meaning, I'm never assigned any specific gate which is kind of frustrating...is it normal? if not how can this be fixed? Thanks,Herve.

This has been bothering me for quite some time. It seems that regardless of the aircraft I fly, PSS A320,777,747. DF737, PIC767 or PMDG 737NG I get told by ATC to start down anywhere from 20 to 40 miles before my flightplans TOD. It doesn't seem to matter what flightplanner I use either. It's the same thing with FsBuild, FSNavigator or programming the FMC myself I still get told to start down 20 to 40 miles earlier than my TOD. I even tried a suggestion I read on the forum that I enter a waypoint 40 miles from the airport with 10,000 feet but still got told to desend early. So my choices are not to let VNAV handle my desent or take the chewing out for busting my altit…

Hi, I'm going to be buying RC when I can get some money to make several purchases. I just wanted to ask about RC.How far from the destination airport would I be able to find out what runway I will be landing on? I sometimes use ActiveSky and force weather to remain same 100nm out. Would this allow me, provided no weather or wind changes were made within 100nm to find out what runway so I can better prepare for approach? Also, what effect on the system (i.e. FPS, ect...) does RC generally have?Thanks,ChrisP4 1.8GHzGeForce Ti4600 128MB1 Gig RDRAMvarious pay ware add-on heavies and GAs.

running v3, FS9, latest FUIPC registered, FSMeteo and PMDG 7371. Excessive altimeter setting calls; I know that RC probably reports what it is given (and by what I dont know), but I often get 5-6 altimeter setting reports in a span of under a minute.Question; how are other users dealing with this, if at all?2. RC runway selection; I brought this up in the past but bear with me here, I think that RC selects the first ILS runway (depart and arrive) that it finds. Then searches for wind direction. However, I have run 14 test flights with RC (with and without FSMeteo) and have not had a single case where the actual fs9 departure and RC runways matched. I am not talking …

Dear all,I have upgraded to FSMeteo 6.3, previous version was 4.93. However I noticed on my first flight last night into EGLL (winds 6knts@090)landing on rwy 9R RC Tower confirmed that winds calm? Is 6knts calm? or have I done something wrong. I think when I left EBBR I got the correct wind settings. Also during cruise I kept getting new altimeter (qnh) readings according to FSMeteo changes. My transition levels were set to 6000 so I thought that anything above this would be STD. Again, have I done something wrong here.Any help would be most appreciated.CheersClowesy

I have seen messages where users of earlier versions are choosing to upgrade to v3 when using FS2004, but is this necessary?I have tried installing v2.2 and found that APLC32 wouldn't install and subsequently RC wouldn't run. But I assume this could be worked around so long as RC itself was comaptible. So maybe I have answered my own question but I would like to confirm.I checked on the RC site but it wasn't clear which version the dowloadable v3 update was for updating. If someone could help me with these I will appreciate it.Nigel

Can anyone tell me if with Fs2004 you can use the Fs9 atc and chatter with Rcv31, what the best choice is perhaps someone might tell me.If it is possible to do this would you when loading Rcv select the Minimum, would you also need 11/12 wav

There are a lot of ATC chatter files listed for FS98, FS2000, and Radar Contact ver 2 or 2.1. Can I instal these files into the current version (RCv3.x) just by following the instructions in the manual? thanks lr.

I upgraded my comp today and reinstalled fs9 and RC. The problem i have is that RC is not working together with fs9, but when i come out of flight mode it seems to operate fine... any help much appreciated;)

Dear All,I have been using RC for some time on my main PC and recently on a network under FS2002. I have just bought FS2004, do I need to install the prog again and collect new reg keys or can I copy some files so it can be used in fs2004 and fs2002. I will keep FS2002 for the time being as I have some performance issues with FS2004.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksClowesy

Hello Ray, I am addressing this question to you because both you and I had pretty darn good luck running RCv3 with the PMDG 737NG. Work together very well. Now my question: Have you had a chance to run RCv3 with the PSS A320? I am just starting this comination and wonder how/if you made out if indeed you actually tried them together.Cheers

Hi,I have been using Radar Contact all the way through FS2002 and now with FS2004 and it works perfectly. One little annoying 'feature' is that when on final approach 300ft AGL I am told to go around because idiot AI pilot has just strayed onto the threshold as he or she is lining up for take off. It happens about 50% of the time. I fly for British Airways Virtual and I am starting to loose efficiency points when I arrive late and if I ignore the 'go round' I have a visit from good old Mr Stevens. I know that RC does not have control of AI traffic but is there any way round it except to reduce the percentage of traffic say when cleared to 10 000 ft.Mike

I had to reinstall RC3 yesterday after havng to reinstall FS9. I also reinstall the latest build thats out there and pretty much everyhting as before..One of the things I'm now seeing in RC is that I'm giving immediate altimiter check within seconds of taking of. This unfortunately, is the last that I would hear from RC in reagards to altimiter check. Previously, RC worked perfectly when I was asked to ckeck altimiter ascending and descending thru FL180. I know there is something missing and I don't know what it is.Can someone please help?..ThanksTroy
