Suddenly one day I load RC and recive an error code:'Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid'I have a clean install of FS9 and I downloaded all the updates for RCV3.1 (I had 3.01 previously). I have also installed all the wav updated. If some one were to advise me on what to do, I would be most grateful. Thanks for any help!Arman Motiwallawww.emiratesva.com

Hi; I'm running RC 3.1 on a network client via WideFS...I notice that occasionally the controllers and/or pilot autoreplies will leave the airline name off of a call...e.g. instead of "Southwest 69, contact Los Angeles Center..." I get a call that says "69, contact Los Angeles Center..." Any idea what does this? It's an intermittent thing...nothing going on in any case that would lend a clue as to why.RegardsBob ScottATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-V L-300Washington, D.C.

pardon, but I have not understood again, how can I fly a STAR approach with rcv3.1, because if I load a flightplan with a STAR approach, rcv3.1 does not follow it but give me other vectors to land......bye

Hi, I'm expecting (fingers crossed) RC as a present tomorrow for my B-day :) I have a question. In a few posts that I've been perusing I've read where the new version will prevent the ai from taking the runway while your on final, etc etc. Using the FS9 atc I've never had that problem as the ai waits till they get clearance. (I'm using UT also) For example as I fly into kphl on finals I can see the ai waiting at the hold line. After I exit the rwy atc clears them to either taxi into position and hold (if I'm still on the rwy) or cleared for takeoff. I guess the question is: this isn't modelled in the current version of RC? Just a little confused here :) Thanks!Andy

I am thinking of buying Radar Contact. I have searched around and read about it, and want to know what you FS9/PMDG users think of it. I usually fly online, but though it can be very realistic, I find that when no ATC is available and no AI traffic is around, it is very UNrealistic. This is why I want to get Radar Contact. I like the idea of having clearance, ground, departure, center approach ect...for every airport at every flight. What do you guys all think? Does it do what they say it does? Is there a way I can hear sound/ATC voices or sounds before I buy it as well??? Thanks againBrad Zimmer

Hello,I searched the forum and I am not sure if it has been mentioned before but will RC 4.0 be a free upgrade for the registered users of RC 3.1, or is it considered to be a new product and will require a new purchase and registration?Thank you,Stephen.

I have a little problem regarding Radar Contact. I recently started a flight from Heathrow to Johannasburg in the PSS A340. I started the flight fine from Heathrow, flew for about 2 hours, and then saved the flight. When I came back later the reload the flight, it reloaded fine, but all the controls for Radar Contact in the menu had screwed up. I was told to turn left for traffic, and the menu appeard with 7-Acknowledge, but when I pressed 7, my pilot asked the controller to say again, despite the fact that say again has been programmed as CS. This is the same with all the keys. I can't navigate from the first menue, becuase what is displayed in the box is no longer corres…

Hi,My system was not capable for whatever reasons of playing RC3 in an acceptable fashion and since I am a devoted fan of Radar Contact I eagerly jumped at using batch files to set processor priority in Windows XP. Doing so made a terrific improvement to an OK workable level. I have tried setting the priorities via batch files and also using the 3.01 patch command string settings to Above Normal, High, and Realtime. I have also used a batch file to set FS2002 to low in combination with the Radar Contact priorities. I have not been able to notice any difference in fluid performance once you set Radar Contact to anything at Above Normal or higher. Setting FS2002 to low did …

JD-Finally got RC going and let me tell you, it was great! I was able to do 2 flights last night. The first was with the DC-9 from Flight 1 Software. Everything worked perfectly. Then I decided to do one with the PMDG 737. That's where problems developed. I should have done this post last night while at home and all was fresh in my mind, but I'll do my best to describe it and maybe you have some ideas to check when I get home.I had FS2004 running and created a flight from KIAH to KAUS. Started up RC and loaded the plan. Went back into FS and got weather, pre-flighted, etc. and started taxiing. Could not control speed (throttle) in jet. Thinking somehow calibration was los…

Hi AllHaving a bit of a problem with RC right now. RC has been working fine until I installed a program called Extreme Weather by Lago. Now for some reason RC will keep me at cruise FL until I am almost on top of the airport and then tell me I need to be level at 10,000 in 30 miles or less. Kinda hard to do from say fl 350. Then It will tell me to fly a certain heading until reaching 10,000 then resume own navigation. I will comply only to be told half way down that I'm not on the heading I was told to fly, (ouch) thats a ding. Usually once I get this strightend out the rest of the flt and landing are ok. If anyone has a clue or can help me in this matter it would be muc…

I thought since you guys must know a lot about it, you might be able to recommend some software, preferably free }( that I could use to compress these audio files.Sorry to post this question here, it's just I figured you guys would know.Adam

New user; apologies if these have already been asked. 1) On a flight KLBB-KSTL I was twice told to change my heading to avoid traffic. No problem there except that AI Viewer showed that on the first instruction, the nearest a/c was 30 miles away going in the opposite direction and on the second I was instructed to turn towards an a/c 5000' above me on a parallel course. What are the expected precedents for these calls (apart from "do as you're told" of course !) ?and 2) I don't seem to be hearing any voice interaction with ground AI. I do have recommended add-on .wav files loaded. Any suggestions ?Many thanks in advanceKevin

I ordered RC3 on the 13th and it's the 16th, what gives? ;) Just kidding of course.A question though, how much hard drive space does RC3 take? With or without the WAVs. Also, why aren't the WAVs necessary for chatter?I'm asking about space because I didn't see it in the install part of the manual, and my HDD is getting full, so I will probably need to buy a bigger HD :( I will be using RC on 2002 for now. Thanks,Chris

Hi. Nice to meet you.My name is Atlantis, and live in Japan.I have started to fly Fs2002 recently.RC3 is very nice to fly with ATC.I have a question today. In RC3, there is one Japanese airline call sign,"Japan air". This call sign shows JAL.But in Japan, we have another major company,ANA(All nippon Airways).I like it very much. In fs2002 ATC, there isthe call sign. but there is no call signin RC3. Do you have a plan to make more call signs to RC3?Thanks.

  22. Just a couple of suggestions that would increase the realism for me, if this is even possible of course!1) Is it possible to randomly get RC to lift the 250 kts speed restriction on departure? I know you can request it, but it would be a hell of a lot more realistic if RC randomly lifted it for you.2) Again, is it possible for RC to randomly allocate you different cruise levels to what you have requested. Not all the time, but every now and again get me to choose a different level due to traffic or something.Don't know if these are possible, just though I'd mention it.Cheers for the great program-keep up the good work.-Phil

joed1930A question regarding radar contact ver 3.1. The program works great with flight plans from Livewire & other outside sources. The problem is when I do a flight plan in fs9, try to fly this flight plan, it inserts a and a distant milage, also a heading. The milage & heading don't seem to be related at all to the flight plan but it is the first point to be flown. I've tried many times but this mysterious location keep comming up. HOW DO I GET RID OF IT??????Any help would be greatly appreciated.Joe

  25. A number of my R/L flights lately have been departures at times when the airports are not real busy. I always enjoy it when we are chuggin' down the taxiway and are about a 1/4 mile from the R/W when the Captain announces that we are #1 for takeoff. We hit the end of the taxiway, make that turn directly on the runway and we are off and running with no hold. There are numerous times in FS200X that you find the departure hold area deserted, no "incoming" flights and it's a perfect time to light the burners and go without the taxi to and hold.Any chance you might add a key combo that we could use to execute such a manuver as we taxi to the R/W. It's really a common occurrence…
