I just got done flying my first flight with RC and PMDG and I have a question. As I was flying into MDW I was trying to tune my radios and it seemed that the ability to tune the radios was disabled or not working some how. I would open the radio panel and try to use the mouse to tune the frequency and nothing would happen. In addition, a few of the other common buttons I use were not working like P to pause the sim and Shift-Z to check frame rates. When I pushed the P button it would engage the CWS A function of the autopilot and when I pushed the Shift-Z combo it would increase my MCP altitude by 100 feet.Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, is there a way to…

Hi,Since V4 is in development, I thought that I would pass this on, as I have encountered it quite often at busy airports. While holding short, an aircraft lands. I am told to taxi into position and hold. There is an aircraft on final a ways out. The aircraft that has landed is tardy getting off the runway... by the time it does, the aircraft on final is under 4 miles out. I do not get cleared for takeoff until the aircraft on final is given a go around. If there are multiple planes on final the wait could be a while until there are no more planes less than 4 miles out. Thanks!

Hi,I am using RC 3.01 and RC 3.10 with FS2004. I plan my flights using FSNavigator 4.6 and export them as 200x.pln. When importing my plan in RC 3.01, I can choose all the available RWY from e.g. EHAM in the controller tab. In RC 3.10 I can only choose between RWY 18L, 18R, 36L and 36R. Could this be a bug in RC 3.10? As it is still in Beta I thought I should mention this. I have seen no difference in other airport RWY-listings between 3.01 and 3.10.Thanks,Rudo

I guess it's too late to change now, but perhaps since it's still in beta ;) Yesterday I was flying into KJFK, being vectored by Approach. I had FSMeteo running and I was getting some very strange altimeter calls - the pressure was ranging from around 29.95 to 30.35. I've no doubt that this was due to FS2004 and/or FSMeteo (possibly one of the nearby stations had out-of-date weather), but RC didn't handle it too well.Every time the pressure changed, RC first accused me of busting my altitude, then afterwards it gave me the "your assigned altitude is ..., altimeter ..." message. I would have thought RC should have advised of the altimeter change first, giving a chance to a…

Is there any magic fix to the 90 degree turn that ATC gives you right before being handed off to Approach? Every time I'm getting handed off to Approach, I get this obnoxious 90 degree turn to the left or right for no reason.LVP (KCVG)

Hi, Just got the CD in the mail and I installed all the files. I am using FS9 and followed the instructions in my reg code email to update to V3.1 When I was copying the zip files 11, 12, etc. that were suggested in that email it was creating older files than were installed from the CD. For instance, the CD would install a file from October 2003 and the downloaded update would install one from May 2003. Is this normal? Thanks,Kevin

Hi! Newbie to Radar Contact here.I have filed a flight plan that assumes a runway 7 departure from KORL and loaded it into RC. The RC controller info options do NOT have the flexible departure procedure checked. RC clears me for a runway 31 departure. No problem, I depart runway 31 heading 314 degrees. Now, should I not expect RC to vector me back to my flight plan? Once I departed rwy 31 and flew heading 314 for a bit, RC responded that I was off course. (I agree that I was off course based on my flight plan that assumed a rwy 7 departure.) Should RC not have vectored me back onto track? And, although I did NOT check flexible departure procedure, clearance delivery…

Hi AllFirst I have to say that RC is a fantastic program that I use 99% of the time I fly anymore. (rarely fly online anymore) There are however a couple of things that I would like to see changed in the next version. The first and formost would be a repeat or "say again" key as I sometimes miss the message or part of it. The other would be a way to turn off the Go-Around feature. It seems that every 2nd or 3rd flt I do no matter what airport I use or what time of day or night, I find myself firewalling the throttles and sucking up the gear for 20 min return to my approach. Also a way to get our callsign in to the program would be great. heheAnyway it is a great program …

I am a new user for RC and I would like to fly all the tutorial flight plans. Unfortunately the only planner I have at this point is the FS2002 planner which I don't think is easy enough to use to plan the tutorial flights. Does anyone know where I could find and download these plans in FS2002 format to get me started? Thanks for your help!Airbus

Dear JDI am very enthusiastic on all RC's developments and a very happy customer since your first releases! I am always "sitting" in PSS aircrafts and have FDC and RC running with it. With the latest release I occasionally miss waypoints as the aircraft turns in to the next waypoint apparently out of RC's tolerated range. Is there a trigger to increase RC's tolerance just like the deviation on speed or altitude?Thank you very much!Sam

JD-When I initially set up RC3 I set the "holding" option to about 70% and was given a hold on 2 of my first 3 flights. Since that time, I've not been given another. What would cause this?To save me from pulling out the manual: When flying in to Glacier National Park airport, which has an ILS, I was terminated from ATC when requesting this. Is this because there is no tower? Also, if I go to an airport which only has a non-precision approach how does RC3 handle this? When developing version 4 is there a way you can tie in with FS9's taxi instructions logic? Is there any way Ground can assign you (not you pick out one ahead of time) a parking spot or gate? Also, is there an…

Hi,Have just started using RC and have a question regarding assigned altitudes when flying a SID.I attempted the HON1Y SID out of Manchester (EGCC), which has a 5000' altitude limit for the first 17 miles. On getting my clearance I am told to climb to 5000 and expect 11000 within 10 minutes. (Cruise level 15000). I have selected the departure procedure option in the Controller page, and do not get yelled at for deviating laterally, but I am told to climb to 11000 almost immediately after take off. I then have to endure an irate controller until I get out of the SID :-)Have I missed something in the manual or does the flexible departue only cover lateral deviations?Thank…

After reinstalling RC 3.0 to get rid of a strange "fly heading" problem there is one special issue. I am told to descend from cruise level about 60-80 miles before reaching the TOD point calculated by the PIC 767 FMC. Earlier, I was asked to descend about 20 miles before the calculated TOD and reached FL100 about 40 miles from destination, using a VS of 2000 ft/min. On a flight from Frankfurt(EDDF) to Nice I had to fly FL180 90 miles from my destination! This occurs independingly wether I use a STAR or not.Any ideas?Andreas HermesEDDH
