Hi and Happy New Year to AllI am a new user of RC3.1--I am having a lot of fun but I find that a lot of callsigns are not in the default RC--are they available somewhere else--can you make them yourself etc---thanks for any helpCheers

Long distances between waypoints provokes these messages- I think it could be due to MS straight-line nav vs. great circle, but I could be way off on that one. Anyway, when the controller tells me I'm off route, the easiest way I've found is to request deviations due to wx. The other suggestion was to add many short distance waypoints, but that's a lot of work. Deviations for wx allows long distance flights. Any comments? lr.

What is the best way to handle a delay in RCv3 for the approach: 1) keep up the airspeed in order to get to a specific point determined by ATC to get turned inbound, or 2) keep the power back, saving fuel, and get turned inbound based on time? How is RCv3 programed? By the way, I do appreciate this great program (but I'm sure that's been said before). lr.

JDHi and Happy New Year from SC. I've been away from RC for awhile and am now able to resume my hobby. I updated RC to 3.1 from the website and I noticed a couple of things that I need help with.The altimeter setting calls are gone. Is this intentional or have I got something not set correctly?Also, the controllers call altitudes below 18000 as flight levels. For example, I filed my flight plan today for 12000 and I got a step climb to FL80 and then FL120. Is this a setting or have I done something wrong?Lastly, my flight today was from Bessemer, AL (KEKY) to Salina, KS (KSLN). Bessemer is an uncontrolled field with an ILS. I remember from your RC 2.0 website, that there had been a lot of files wiht regional chatter.Do you already have some chatter files for e.g. Canada, Russia ore African regions? I know that this has been asked a million times but I still don't understand exactly what I have to do to get RC to work with FS2004. When I click start RCV3 an error comes up saying that I have an unregistered copy of FSUIPC and to check the FSUIPC Log. I am running the newest build 2264 and I am running FSUIPC v3.07 so can someone help me I'm looking forward to many flights in FS9.Thank you.

I got RCV3 for Christmas and I am a happy camper!! I have a couple of quick questions about the installation process:I have FS2002 and FS2004 installed on my PC. Do I have to select which version I want to use during RC installation?Do I have to install to FS2002 first and then download the upgrade to use it with FS2004?Can you switch between FS2002 and FS2004?Thanks for your help! I see no set pattern to this, but as I approach or overhead a fix and I'm in process of turning to a new course, I occasionally get a "turn left/right 10/20 degrees for traffic" from the contoller. Does this mean, turn left/right from my present heading or from the new track I am turning to? This request can put me pretty far off my new course.RichR

Usually I fly online, but I dont like how a lot of centers are uncontrolled or how some airports will be online when I start my flight and off by the time I get there. VATSIM can be realistic, but its a gamble. I think FS9's ATC is miserable. The voices are annoying and I dont think it is realistic at all (my opinion). Yet I like to fly with AI to make airports lively. SO I usually fly without ATC and get the AI I want.....yet that to isnt how it should be done. With that I want to possibly get the realism with RC. Hi, just a quick message. Since I downloaded Build 2264 I have been experiencing crashes to RC3.1. What I mean is, near the end of a flight, I am always being vectored to a specific runway and during my downwind vector RC just seizes up on me. "AdvDispaly" goes blank and remains that way (RC has stopped responding). This has happened several times when using Build 2264. I also should note that at the time Windows Task Mgr indicates a low memory reading and I have had the dreaded "Low Virtual" memory warning lately as well. I have now used RC v3.0 for several months still having the same problem: I fly the route using the PIC767 FMC and having exactly the same route within radar contact. A few miles after departure, often as low as 4000 ft, the controller asks me to fly a heading I already am on. This continues the whole flight. The only way to avoid these commands is to request a deviation for weather. But after processing the next waypoint, the controller asks me back on course. No matter how much waypoints I have on my route and how close together they are, I am always critisized for not flying my route. I have never seen this with RC 2.1. . Please do not take this post the wrong way. I purchased RC3 for FS2002 when RC3 was brand spanking new and I loved it. I am a real world commercial pilot and I like goofing around with MSFS and I do use it to keep my head fresh when it comes to IFR procedures and approach familiarity. I have not used RC3 since the day FS9 was installed on my machine.Recently I have been using FS9 fairly frequently to review approaches to a particular airport prior to an upcoming real world IFR flight. Are RC users entailed to full / free version of FSUIPC? I see a new version out, and I use RC's newest version, yet FSUIPC is still listed as unregistered.

Hi,I used RC2.2 with FS2000 and later bought RC3, but I never really used it due to the fact that it ignores any AI traffic. On the homepage I read that in RC3.1 the handling is improved but no further statements about this topic. So I'm a bit puzzled at the moment. will rcv4 give the possibility to follow a sid and a star with altitude restrictions??????????is it possible that will it have a database with many sid and star (adjoustable with possibility to add other sids and stars)???because all add-ons aircrafts have a FMC that give this possibility and it would be terrific that rcv4 will make this too!!!!!!!!!thanks

I got FS2004 recently and am now ready to use RC with FS04. I currently have version 3.0 installed in FS02. Are there any special instructions I need to reinstall and update RC smoothly to FS04? Thanks. Tom

A really fun program, but boy, what a bunch of grouchy Controllers!Example: Flew the recently published "Round Robin" adventure in the Dec. 03 issue of COMPUTER PILOT. Heading into Edmonton Intl at night with Heavy Snow, High Winds, Icing and 2 1/2 miles vis. Got yelled at for altitude busting, and asking the Controller to repeat himself. Never mind that I was on full, manual-override the entire approach and kinda busy. Geez! Anyway, a lot of fun on my day off!Capt Dad.

Just flew from Kpit to Kacy in Olys great dash-8. That was neat taking off in the snow and finally passing the front just outside of Phila into clear skies (gotta love wxRE). Anyways....I was given vectors to rwy 13(ILS). At about the 5 mile mark I'm told to contact tower, which I promptly do. Tower clears me to land rwy 13 and gives me winds (330) he says I'm #1. Now I'm thinking if winds are 330 how come I'm not coming in on rwy 31? I contnue on.I shortly notice a lear jet in the air at the end of 13(31). Hi Guys,Can anyone help me with a couple of observations/problems that I encountered on a recent flight from KDEN to KDFW.During my decent I was told to descend to FL150 and on reaching turn to Heading 035.The first problem was that Centre busted me for not turning immediately ! I was still descending through FL170.As soon as I turned to the heading I was handed off too Approach.
