Hi, I am using the A330 with Flight sim 2004 and Radar Contact 3.1 I am really having problms and would greatly appreciate it if i could recieve any help on this subject.The problm is that RAdar contact needs to save the fs state through its own save menu. When it saves, it saves the fs state and the atc. When I was using a PSS 777/747 addon, Radar contact saved the aircraft panel state, eg flaps postions FMC and route perfectly. However, when i used the A330, when i loaded the flight, only flaps or gear were in the positions where i left them, everything else like the FMC and flightplan and autopilot, were not in the state i left them. The flightplan had been erased and …

I was cleared for take-off by RC at EGHH. When I got near take off point, there was another aircraft sitting there.I tried again, and this time made it to Dublin. Cleared for landing, I came in and just as I landed an aircraft taxied on to the runway in front of me.I have turned of the Flight Sim ATC. Could this be causing the problem?crashproof

with the recent release of fsuipc 3.07, there is a fix for this problem that i was never able to find. it seems non english version of flight simulator was storing the .flt and .wx files in one place, and fsuipc was trying to get them from another place.rc would hang on "loading fs...."you can get 3.07 from http://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/FSUIPC.zipthere has been a recent update to advdisp as well, which fixes the "black screen of death :-) "you can get advdisp 2.122 fromhttp://www.schiratti.com/files/dowson/AdvDisp.ziplet me know if there are any other issues.jd

Have been happily using the RCv3 a few weeks, but have some questions about the upgrading and installations I hope you can help me with: 1) With MSFS2k2 and FSUIPC 2.975, could I upgrade to RCv3.1, or must I use FSUIPC 3? I'm seriously considering buying the program and have a few questions. I understand that upon purchasing the program it will be shipped to me on CD. Does the CD contain all the programs needed to fully utilize the program? What I mean is, do you need (or is it advisable) to have a registered version of FSUIPC, for example? Does the AdvDisp I read about come with the program? Do I need it?I guess all this is leading to is:What all do I need to get or have?Also, I have downloaded the manual from your web site. Is this manual fully up to date with the version of the program I will be receiving? If not, where can I learn about the differences? Are updates to the current versi…

HiNow my 3.1beta is ok and great but I've noted 2 strange things:1) I've repeated my approach in the same airport more time and I received always vectoring to the same rwy, often with tailwind.2) In options I've set 100% holdings and .....never.Atc didn't give me an holding pattern!Why that?ThanksPaolo (Italy)

Hi,I just received my copy! I am trying it out in FS2002 currently. I have no default traffic in FS2002 anymore, I have all my AI flights from Ultimate Traffic. It does not seem that RC is recognizing any of the UT traffic. I was cleared to land into ATL right into a Delta heavy on the runway! Is this correct? Does RC only recognize the default traffic? If that is the case then please let me know. If it should be seeing the UT traffic, please let me know. It is strange that FS default AC recognizes the traffic but not RC.Mike

Has this ever happened to anyone? I was doing a flight from San Juan Puerto Rico to Fort Lauderdale. I'm using version 3.01 of Radar Contact in FS2002. San Juan departure passed me onto San Juan control at 134.15. I don't hear the controllers voice. I have passed my coms over to my co-pilot (Did this before take-off). It's a good thing she repeats the instructions because there is nothing until I'm passed on the San Juan control at 135.25. Have full audio now. Am able to communicate with control & it speaks back to me ---- until I'm passed on to Nassau control at 130.5. Same thing as before. No voice. I don't have communication until I'm passed on to Miami centre.Anyo…

Greetings,Are you ever likely to interface RC with PMDG so that OTTO can assume full flying control, especially on long over water sectors in the future?Having just completed my first flight with RCv3.1 and being blown away with the package, I would like to know if you want input as to the correct european terminology used. (I'm 727 Capt IRL). If you do, I would be glad to pass on some suggestions, if not i'll keep quiet. :-)BTW I thought the critique at the end was a nice touch He he he he.Keep up the good work and thank you for a great add-on!

I was just outside EDDM at 10000 when I was told to watch my altitude which should be 10000.I checked and was at 10000. QNH was 989.Again I was reminded. Checked again. Four times in all I was told to check it. He even stated the QNH which was exactly as I had it.Even my co-pilot said altimeter check twice.At the end of the flight, he also said I`d been off course. This wasn`t mentioned at the time and the only time I`d been off course was at ATC instructions.I think I`d prefer to be working in ATC!crashproof

Hi, I recently registered at VATSIM and recieved my ID number, but I never recieved any e-mail confirmation with my password. I then did a ID status check, but again recieved nothing by e-mail, so I sent a message to the VATSIM Membership Department, and have not recieved any reply up to this time. Could there be a problem with my e-mail address I have Outlook Express with Roadrunner as my internet provider? and I also have no antispam programs. This is still asked a lot, so...If you need to send JD (or anyone) a dat, here's the method.Fly one of the plans you know will have the problem, then save a dat ("Save Flight" on the main RC screen). You can/should pause FS first. Zip that up along with the .flt and .wx files (they will be the same name as what you saved the dat as) from the My DocumentsFlight Simulator Files (FS9), or FS2002flightsmyflts (FS2002) directory. The dat is under RCV3xsaved. Send the zip to JD.It is immensely helpful if you at least switch to a default FS aircraft before saving if you are flying FS9.Make sure you tell JD which FS you are flying when you send him the zip.Also, and I know thi…

After installing version 3.1, I flew a quick flight from KLAX to KLAS.RC had me descend to 9100ft on final.This is a bit higher than the previous version and caused me to go around.Just wondering if this is a new feature.Thanks much,Thomas

Hi,currently I'm doing a flight from EDDH to LEMH.I've missed a waypoint and wanted to go direct to the next wpt via the DIR CKPT option. The problem is: The option has gone! It used to be there in earlier flights. I switched the menus by hitting '9', but it's simply not there.So I entered slew-mode and passed the missed waypoints manually, which worked all right.Maybe the option has gone because I did not select the flightplan in FS2002 before? Mabe RCv3 somehows "needs" it to shows the possible waypoints for DIR CKPT? What I did: I just created a new situation *without* selecting the flightplan in FS2002. I just loaded the flightplan in RCv3, of course.Thanks in advance…

HiI am using RC V3.1 Build 2205 with FS2004. I have recently done 2 flights (KJFK to KIAH and KIAH to KSNA) both with a selected cruise of FL350.The RC controller gave me climb instructions to 15,000, FL230 and FL330 before clearing me to FL350.As both flights were Westbound should I have not been given Even altitudes and flight levels?ThanksIan

It seems that most of the planned flights with FS2004 and RC 3.1,I have problems with final approach.[Note: I didn't have these problems with FS2002]. What is happening is, that as I am approaching the airport, approach has me too high. I end up having to turn off AP before the RC co-pilot turns the aircraft over to the pilot, just so I can manually get the aircraft low enough to land.What am I doing wrong? I`ve compiled a flightplan saved it in "my documents" got the main RC 3.1 screen entered product key pressed register screen freezes up also most of the buttons aregreyed out, what is the problem,? can someone help please

I use fsnavigator 4.6 to compile flight plans but since using fs2004I cannot find a place to store them for onward use with RC 3.1.can anyone run me through the process from compiling plans to savingand on to running them in fs2004 using RC 3.1.thanks eric

Whilst awaiting the arrival of RC v3.1 and still making do with FS9's proprietary ATC, I was wondering weather it is possible to tune into one's arrival Atis about 30-45 minutes out as per real life, and not as the default ATC package when you are 20 miles away and rather late to make a weather diversion decision or askfor a differnt runway etc.When you get your IFR clearance, do you get a SID departure, or is it a radar heading with alt restriction? Naturally when talking to the first approach controller does one get a STAR?Thanks in advance!
