I downloaded and installed the 3.1 update and all the required items to go with it. After I create my flight plan in FS9 and save it, I can't get RC to work. When I start RC and select the saved flight, the blue status line goes about 1/3 of the way then stops. Nothing happens after that. Can't figure this one out. Any ideas?Jim

Hi,I am using FS2004, with RC31 and current FSUIP 3.04, and all the recommended additional files. My concern is now once again RC does not recognize AI planes on the taxiway or runway. Tower clears me for takeoff and an AI plane positions itself to takeoff as well. Or I have started to takeoff and an AI plane lands right in front of me. I thought this was fixed?Thank you,Paul

Hi JDI just had a great flight from LIPZ to EGSS in the new PMDG 737 using radar contact.I was cleared to land at EGSSas No 1 but as I got closer there was agreat line of AI aircraft waiting to take off. When I was at about 500' the first AI aircraft taxied onto the runway in front of me ready for take off. I was expecting a Go Around call from RC but it didn't come. Being curious I continued my aproach. I did finally get the call when I was 20' above the threshold. A bit late. I realise I could have instigated a go-around when I forst saw the aircraft on the runway but I wanted to hear the call.Is this a FS9 AI problem to be fixed when they issue the SDK or is it a RC p…

For some days ago, I flew from Canada to Germany, crossing Ireland, the UK and Belgium on my way to Frankfurt (EDDF). When I was in Canadian aispace, all chatter (ground, departure, ATC) was plain synthetic. After entering oceanic, I got nice HF chatter all the way until reaching Ireland where I again got these synthetics. Crossing the UK, there was english chatter, but the remaining route including arrival and ground at EDDF RC was playing synthetic chatter again. This seriously affects the feeling of real ATC. I would prefer to hear chatter even with american/british accent rather than these terrible synthetic ones. Is there any way to achieve that? If not, I seriously …

Well, another try at FS9 tonight. I was flying the PMDG 737-700 from Phoenix to Houston. The flight started out great. The scenery and weather (clouds) at PHX were really great! I thought I was on to something. I was running Radar Contact along with the FS ATC in VFR mode. After I was told to Contact Arrival by RC, RC quit working on me. The only choices RC gave me were Cancel IFR or Terminate Radar Services! I never had the choice to contact arrival (my copilot was handling the comms) This has happened twice in FS9 to me. Hi,I'm flying with RC2205 and it seems once at 10,000 feet on approach to my destination if I or Otto request to get weather FS2004 crashes with a fatal error and wants to restart. It says an error occured in the ATC.DLL. I don't know if this can be solved so its not a big deal I just wont request the weather but I thought I'd let you know its happening.If there is something I'm not doing right let me know.I'm using the default FS2004 weather with a registered copy of FSUIPC 3.04 with ADVDISPLAY 211This has happened twice and seems to be very repeatable.Thanks,Sean

I have been running rcv3.1 buil 2191 for several days and have noticed that the process priority of rcv3.1 is always "normal".I have tried the /high and /realtime options. The rc3.1 splash screen indicates that the option is set to the corresponding level but process viewer still shows the process at normal. I might be wrong, but i think there's a website from where you can download chatterfiles, but no matter how hard i think or looks for a link, i can't find it. I have been wondering if there are any new chatterfiles - or other soundfiles, i haven't got. Maybe anyone of you know what website i have in mind? :-)

Why is it whenever I create a flt plan with 2004 and load it into RC it comes up giberish. ie K7 K& K7 and so on. RC cannot read 2004 plns?? Thanks for any help.Bill M

Hi JD,during a flight from LIME to LFPO, when hitting CTRL-SHIFT-M (plane to OTTO) i got an error and RC exited: RUNTIME ERROR "6" OVERFLOW was the message. What does this mean? I'm having sound problems with FS9 which extend into RC as well. Basically, sound played via FS (ATC/ATIS) and RC are barely audible. I have checked forum posts with sound problems and have checked all things mentioned:CodecsReinstall Media PlayerFresh installation of XP Home (reformat etc)Fresh install of FS9What happens is that I can play the wav files OK in Media Player, but when played through RC (speaker icon on opening page), I hear nothing or it's very, very faint. I have all volume sliders etc set to max, as well as my speaker volume. Hi Gang,I've updated to 3.1 (latest build) along with FSUIPC (3.04). I open RC, load a flight created and saved by FS9, then start FS9, then push Start RCv3. The program minimizes, FS9 comes up but my ADV box shows nothing. I can't get RC to load up. I've also tried started FS up first but with no luck. One other thing... the flight plan box shows the dep/dest and ALT, but displays only K2.K2.K2 for vor's/waypoints.Any suggestions as to what I may doing wrong?Thanks, Jim

Hello!I have been using Radar Contact in FS2002 for many months and just love it!Now I am using it with FS2004COF and I am having one small problem.I use two 17" monitors that are connected to my GeForce 4MX 440 card and I like to have all my radio windows and the AdvDisp window on the second monitor.This was no problem with FS2002, but with FS2004, the AdvDisp text window disapears once I move it to my second monitor and interact with any of the aircraft radios or instrumentation.I know that the AdvDisp window is still on the 2nd monitor, it is just hidden behind the "new" window that FS2004 uses to display the undocked windows on the 2nd monitor.So, my question is, is t…

I wrote recently about this problem - where i'm ready to take off from rwy 22R at EKCH. Nothing whatsoever happens most of the time. Have now gone back to the previous version of RC where i have no problems. Also i in this version are in a lower and more suitable altitude when i'm < 10 ft. from the RWY.. (Don't have to dive like a Stuka)... :-))And then another thing. Why on earth all these "go arounds"? In most of the situations there's either nothing on the runway or a plane has just left the runway. Couldn't you create a way to cancle that go-around? And if it's because of Microsoft's "spooky" AI planes - then there's no guarantee that you won't face the same proble…

Hi im about to purchase RC but i have some questions first:1.) Does RC support holdings ? Will ATC tell you to hold at a certain waypoint ?2.) Does RC support speed management ? Hi, all'I searched the forum re: sound loss and couldn't find a fix.I have lost all sound in RC3.1; it was working perfectly before. I reinstalled RC and same problem.Only change I made was that I cleaned up my HD recently and I'm wondering if anyone knows if I may have OK'd a file deletion that was needed for RC sound.I checked all the directories and the wav's are all there;(btw, if I try to play the wav's with Windows Media player an error says 'class not registered'--don't know if that's relevant)thanks for any thoughts

Hi,I was trying to customize the key setting in RC and do so but in FS2004 when I hit the shortcut which in my case is CTRL-1 nothing happens I have to keep hitting it over and over again before it finally accepts the key and processes. The normal key of 1 works just fine.I'm using build 2205 in FS2004 with FSUIPC 3.04.Is there something I'm doing wrong?Thanks,Sean

Hi friends,i'm running build 21.91 on a client networked PC via WideFS v6.02 and FSUIPC v3.03.After FS2004 flightplan loaded i open the Controller Info page, set parameters and click OK. Suddendly an error message appears and RC exits :-(Can you please help?P.S. After several attempts i noticed that in Apt Departure Gate box there is written Files01_IFR Orio al Serio to Charles-De-Gaulle.rc3!!! For all you guys that thought Mr. Bill was a Bad A.. Last night I set up a FS9 flight with RC3.1 from Chicago Midway back to Cleveland. I had saved my gate position from the previous flight.I was using FS ATC as chatter in a VFR mode like I've done hundreds of times in FS2002.
