I had this crazy idea of upgrading my 3.0 version of Radar Contact to 3.1.The instructions weren`t really clear enough for me, so I quit and went back to the old version, after updating FSUIPC.When I tried to run RC, I got this message - FSUIPC access error. One or more programsyou are using is not accredited for access to an unregistered copy of FSUIPC. Please see the FSUIPC.Log for details.-RC was there, but completely dead.So I re-installed RC and tried again. :-eek Greetings.I just purchased and installed FS2004 on my Gateway Pentium 2.26 with 768 ram and am running a PNY NVidia Video card model GeForce FX5200 Ultra AGP 128mb DDR.I noticed that when I startup FS2004, I am able to see the aircraft panel, but if I select anything else , the panel disappears? I select it again under the view menu and it shows its still running etc, so the next thing I'll try is loading the latest NVidia drivers from the web site, but if I have to, I'll go buy another video card.Anyone have suggestions?How's ATI video cards?I'd like the cost to be no more than $150.00Thanks,Please email replys to [email protected],Gary

I have the newest version of Radar Contact for FS 2004 as well as all the wavs, etc. When I make a flight plan in FS2004 and save it FS2004 recognizes it but when I try to import the flightplan into Radar Contact, the airports are right, but for waypoints all I get is .CY.CY.CY.CY. etc....Am I not creating the flightplans in the right format? Everything else works great, tho'. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Couple of issues on my W98SE 512DDR 2.53 Gz box:1. The famous audio pauses are back occuring almost on a schedule, perhaps on AS updates. This is not the stuittering issue but 3 to 5 sec pauses on ATC commands or pilot responses. Background non-sim related stuff is off AFAIK.2. ATIS: I assume is a FS issue. At KMSP I have via AFCAD rwy 12R/30L assigned for landings only, and 4/22 assigned for take-offs only. RC ATIS and ground allow the use of 12/30 for both with no function for 4/22. (FS ATC AITS is worse staying with 4/22 and not recognizing 12/30 but AI correctly lands on 12/30.) The parallel shorter runway is not enabled because of FS limitations.Otherwise, works swel…

Here's a wierd one for you. Default Beech Baron, KARV to KORD. Using RC V3 and ActiveSky. We are at 4000 feet and Otto is flying. We are cleared for the ILS to RWY 22L, and asked to maintain heading 190 until established. Otto gives the callback, and sets the A/P for APR, sets altitude at zero and V/S at -700 fpm. She holds this until we're below reception altitude and lose the ILS/GS signal, and probably would have crashed, though I didn't wait to see. I reloaded a previous save file, and Otto repeats her performance. I finally took the plane and flew the approach myself (FWIW, I usually fly the approach myself, I just wanted to see how Otto did with it). PMS, m…

I'm using voice control with 'Play Pilot Wavs' and 'Pilot Autoreply' unticked to avoid unnecessary repetition of my messages but I find that manual acknowledgements which Game Commander replaces are also unavailable and Radar Contact steps on automatically.Would it be possible to add an option named perhaps 'Retain Manual Acknowledgements' or 'VRC Acknowledgements' to restore this?Communicating with Radar Contact through a microphone is another step towards realism and improves on what is already an outstanding program. I`m using Radar Contact V3 and am trying to upgrade to version 3.1.I`ve downloaded the patch and installed it but there are 3 other zips which I have downloaded - 11, 12 and Wav udate.It says to follow the instructions in the zip files. I can`t find any instructions!Also, is the new FSUIPC, WideFS and Advdisp. neccessary?Your help would be appreciated.Cheerscrashproof

fsuipc.dll and advdisp.dll go in the modules directory of fs98/fs2000/fs2002/fs2004the rcv31.zip files should be unzipped into the rcv3 directory where all your other rcv3 files are, and overwrite as necessarythe files in the 11.zip file go into winwood11 (don't make/end up with winwood1111 - that would be bad)the files in the 12.zip file go into winwood12 (don't make/end up with winwood1212 - that would be bad)the files in the update have all files in each of the controller/pilot directories, so unzip it into the winwood directory with "use directory information"

Hi, I'm new to Rardar Contact. I have successfully installed the program and updated to version 3.01. I am using FS2002. When I run the first tutorial flight, everything works fine untill I change the AP to FL290, then everything goes to hell. The aircraft (B737), two different versions and also an A320, becomes eratic and altitude is impossible to hold. The aircraft goes to a nose up attitude and stalls and looses altitude.(of course the Controler chews me out for not maintaining FL!@) I have never gotten to FL290 using RCv3. With out RC the acft performs normally, with no problems reaching the flight levels and AP seems to control the acft as set up.Am I missing somet…

I tried the saved flight option when I first got RC3 and it worked fine. I haven't used it since then and tried again today. After I press load the status bar goes immediately half way, then stops with the progress saying "Loading FS STate". It just freezes and I have to CTR-alt del to get out of RC with the usual "this program is not responding" message. Any ideas what's wrong? I have FS runnning with the correct aircraft selected, I have the 3.01 patch, 1gig ram, and everything has been OK so far. Thanks.

JD,Must the 3.01 update be installed first before the 3.1 build or can the 3.1 be installed over 3.0 directly? I've decided to do a reinstall to try and solve the saved flight lockup problem. The 3.1 install did not help. Thanks.

Hopefully someone can help me with an irritating problem that has just begun to appear while running RC and FS2002.First some stats: Pentium 4 CPU 2.00ghz Windows XP Home vers Nvidia GForce 4 Ti4800 RC ver: 3.00.1732 FSUIPC ver: 3.01 AdvDisplay ver: 2.11Here is what happens, when I begin a flight everything is normal in cockpit view (in full screen mode). I upgraded to Windows XP and when I did that it wiped out all my Product ID numbers and passwords for other programs. I know I should have back everything up to a file else where, but dumb me. Anyway am wondering if you could send me a new ID code in case I have to re-install RCV3.

Greetings All, I recently upgraded to RCV3.1 Installed all the new controller wavs ect.. did several flights and everything was working just fine. After upgrading to build 2178 I started experiencing a problem of losing all pilot, controller speech or chatter. Usually it happens sometime after contacting ground at the departure airport. Strangely enough, I can get some of the wavs to play if I switch tasks or minimize the FS window! I still get engine sounds and the proper text is displayed in the Advdisp window in response to my key inputs, I just don't get any pilot or controller speech. Hi,I'm trying out your new 3.1 beta with FS2004 you released tonight but FSUIPC is not communicating. The AdvDisplay shows nothing once I start RC. I checked FSUIPC and it says its unregistered which it is, I hit for access key but it asks for a code and the name of the program to run with before the .exe Maybe I'm just being dim here but am I missing something. Also when I click FS200* plan and load up the plan in the flight directory under "My Documents" it shows the the Dep and Dest airport along with the altitude but for the route it shows K5.K5.K5.K5.K5Any help appreciated,Sean

JD,I don't see instructions for FS2004 users, so I assume they are forthcoming?Since RC is an accredited FSUIPC application, how do we get the new "standard" FSUIPC 3 version and do we also need to download the new ADVDISP released today or will you provide it?Thanks,Bruce

JD,On a flight from KMCO to KORD last night, I was holding short of runway 36R. There was an A320 on final about 3 miles out. I called the tower (actually Otto called them). I was told to "taxi into position and hold".I would have expected to have had to wait on the inbound plane since it was less than 3 miles out. I waited for the aircraft to land and then taxied into position. I was then given the "cleared for takeoff"... but the A320 had not cleared the runway.Not sure if this was the correct behavior, so I thought that I would post the report. I was using the latest build posted Sunday morning.
