Yes a dumb question. What i want to say is: do i simply have to point RC browser to C:Documents and SettingsLuigi SangiovanniDocumentiFlight Simulator Files and import flight i need? Are FS9 flightplans formatted in a way RC can read them? Or i have to do anything else? Do you use any other flightplanner instead of FS9 built in?Thanks in advancecheersLuigi ;-)

The only problem I've seen so far is that when the Advanced display is docked to the panel, it causes a flicker of black screen that may last for about 10 seconds. About this altimeter check. At 10000 I go into FSUIPC and there`s a hot key for Altimeter check.But on the Adv.Disp. there`s also a key for the same thing.What I`d like to know is, if I have a figure of say 2.92, where does this go? Where is it entered?cheers, crashproof

Hi!Today, wanting to take of from 22R at EKCH (Copenhagen), i was told to drive in position and thereafter i would expect to get a clearance for takeoff. 2 times i waited for 5 min. without any clearance being given and gave up. I succeeded finally when i chose another aircraft, but i find it amazing that there should be a problem with that plane now. Have had it for more than a year without problems. The plane i used at first was a MD90 from Scandinavian. The one i succeed getting the clearance in was a B737-400 from Scandinavian - though it took some 30 sec.. Hello,I finally got RC to work with FS2004, so I am very thrilled with that. My next comment and question is this:Comment: There are delays in ATC now, whereas there wasn't with FS2002. When I choose an option, whether it be for Ground or Tower, etc, there is a longer pause until ATC responds(?) Is this normal or maybe I'm missing something.Question: Prior to going with FS2004 and RC, I was able to toggle the display screen (ADVDISP). Now I can't? Is this have something to do with full registration of FSUIP?Thank you,Paul

I've downloaded and properly installed the 2191 beta, plus the .wav updates. Everything seems fine in FS2002. But, in 2004, I can't get it back to full-screen mode once everything's loaded. I THOUGHT I had fixed it by changing the order of opening/loading, but that only seemed to work for the default Lear. When I switch to full screen with the default 182, for example, it goes to a 3/4 black screen (desktop partially visible) with a constantly flickering hourglass, as if it's trying to perform an operation it can't. I had a glance through previous comments but nothing like this seems to have occurred. I installed RC 3 last March but have had no time to use it until now. I have used RC2.2 extensively and can get to the stage of tuning to WX TAF but the moment I press key 1 - no sound. I can get sound (so I know the thing works) if I press the appropriate key and then flick the RC3 button at the base of the screen. I then and only then get sound. FS goes into pause mode and the moment I press P again, the RC sound cuts and returns to FS sound. Anyone got any ideas or am I being really stupid. I have read the manual.Hugh

With my old PC (500 Mhz, 10 GB, 128 MB RAM, 3DFX video card, Windows 98 SE), I never had any problem with RC, and all saved flights loaded again without any problem.Recently, I bought a new much more performant PC (>2GHz, 80 GB, 512 MB RAM, ATI Radeon 9700 Pro video card, Windows XP Home) and I installed FS 2002, as well as Radar Contact (v31), NAV and ActiveSky wxRE. So far so good, the sim really works fine, much more faster (higher framerates) and is much better in all aspects than before.But, trying to load a saved flight in RC did not work at all. I've been using Radar Contact for FS2002 and love it. Now I wish to use it in FS2004. Exactly how do I do this? I believe I have all necessary updates. Radar Contact Version 3.1. Do I have to reintall program and point it to FS2004. If not where do all the files go in the flight sim?

Hi,I have started this discussion in the MSFS forum, however I think I will have better luck in the forum in which my challenge is of most.....FS2004 vs RC...I enjoyed RC in FS2002 very much. I am saddened by the fact that as of this time I can't get RC to work because when I minimize FS2004 to start up RC, I can't get FS2004 to get back up(?) My thoughts are towards the driver (Nvidia 44.67) with the GEforce 5600 Ultra. I am hopping that once Nvidia posts the working version, rather than the beta, it should work. If not, I will be VERY sad. Almost to the extent that I may have to reload FS2002 just to use RC.Anyway, sorry for my whinning........If anybody has any so…

I have a problem during loading from saved state.Just after start saved flight (B737) my engines slow down and typically a plane looses its FL and going down. Engines remain theirs power after about one second and a plane starting to climb to cruise FL bu typically with overspeed (the speed is increasing during going down). Hi AllI generated a flight plan using FSNav 4.5 with FS2002 with the Beta Version 3.1.My flight orginated in London CYXU and terminated in North Bay CYYB.Everything went as planed until I got approximately 80 miles south of the YYB VOR and I was given a heading of 190 degrees which takes you away from the VOR.I have been using Radar Contact since day one unsure what happened in this senerio.Any suggestions appreciated.Kenny G.

I just purchased and installed FS2004. Also downloaded and installed the latest FSUIPC version(3.03 free version--did not register) and the latest ADVDSP. I already had Radar Contact version 3.1 installed as I was using it with FS2002.When I go to start Radar Contact, I get a message that one or more of the programs I am using is not accredited to work with FSUIPC and to check the FSUIPC log. As a result, Radar Contact does not seem to work.I was under the impression that RC3 would work with the free version.Any suggestions as to what the problem might be.ThanksRoger Hollands

On my last flight from ENGM to KEWR, after reaching FL100 while approaching KEWR the copilot who handled the radios suddenly asked the RC controller for FL440! After receiving the clearance, I was informed to better control my altitude until I was able to request FL 100 as a "lower altitude request".Additionally, the copilot suddenly requested another runway which was bad according to wind direction.So, the copilot is requesting unlogical altitudes and runways without any action from my side :-(

I have built a flight from ENGM (Norway) to KEWR using NAV3, then I loaded the plan into RC3.01. I started the flight with PIC767 using exactly the same flightplan and flying with VNAV and LNAV engaged. After resuming own navigation at FL230 and crossing my first waypoint, the RC controller starts to ask me to fly e.g. heading 315 directly to my next filed waypoint. The problem is just that I am already flying this HDG and there is no significant crosswind. I get asked the same several more times and even choosing "direct next WPT" causes exactly the same behaviour. I just upgraded my PC to a 2.8 Ghz Pentium 4 with Microsoft Windows Professional. RC Ver. 3 installed fine and am a registered user. When I have loaded RC I get my Weather if I manually tune to the frequency. I can't select 1 from Adventure Display. Also i cannot select 2 for Clearance and even when I manually adjust the comm, I can't get clearance. The Background chatter is working. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Hi all, I need help!I have a registered version of fsuipc 3.03 and Advdisp 2.11 I use them both with FS 2004 and Radar Contact 3.10 and FS Meteo 6.0.I got one flight with the above, now I have a FS 2004 crash problem. I am not sure which program is at fault. I can run FS 2004 and switch between windowed and full screen mode in FS 2004 without a problem.When I use Radar Contact or FS meteo I start FS 2004 in full screen mode. Then I switch to window mode to start one of the programs. Both programs run and after they are ready for me to go back into FS 2004 I make the FS 2004 window active. All is fine ready to fly. i purchased my traffic long ago for fs2002, because i wanted the ai traffic, but i didn't want to spend hours editing files, and moving .bgl files, and compiling, etc.worked great in fs2002, and i've updated it with sp1, sp2 and sp3so i followed the directions to upgrade to fs2004. i ended up with planes with no textures.any with my traffic succesfully upgraded my traffic to fs2004? hints and tips to make it work?
