FYI. Pete has released the new version and a new SDK. Of interest to RC is the following:As you know, based on runway properties and weather, RC and ATIS and FS AI will sometimes not have the same active runways. Pete has added a feature that within 80 nm from the destination, it reports the runways in use by _ACTIVE_ AI which might help with a merge into the string of pearls scenario and also avoid occasionally attempting to land on a runway opposite to the direction of departing AI. Maybe RC can incorporate this into the RC ATIS report and its approach vectoring procedures. This especially may apply where runway privilege properties have been adjusted with AF2 mods.The …

If I'm on final and cleared for landing, does RC "freeze" ground traffic from taxiing onto the runway I'm landing on? Or does RC give you a go around?Thanks for the help.Craig

Hi AllQuick question, when using FS2002 with build 2264 can I still use the unregistered Pete Dawson FSUIPC Dll.The reason I ask there are several enhancements in the unregistered version such as Taxi Winds Off which are not included in Pete's registered version.I do use the registered version with FS2004.Tks. for any replys,Kenny G.

Hi, folks-I'm wanting to record some live ATC chatter to use to fill out the selection of chatter that came with v3.1. In particular, I'd really like to improve ground since I spend about 45 minutes before each flight as I prepare listening to the same clips.Two questions-Is it as simple as recording new ground chatter, cutting it into component conversations, naming the .wav files sequentially (gnd85.wav, gnd86.wav...) and dropping them into rcv30winwoodusagnd?Does anyone who has done this before have any particluar tips before I get started?Thanks,Simon

Hiya, I just tried to use RC in FS9.I downloaded an update and then put the RCv3.1 icon into the RC folder. It starts of but when I click 'RUN', then I get a message saying that because FSUPIC is not registered then I cannot run RC v3.1 in FS9. Do I have to register FSUPIC to use RC in FS9? Nothing was metioned on your website when I bought it!!!

I like to fly out of my home airport of KWWD. It is an uncontrolled airport that uses 122.7 unicom. So if I file an IFR plan, I contact clearance delivery and then I should get on 122.7 until after takeoff when I would contact departure, correct? As it is right now, Im talking to clearance, ground, tower, then departure which doesn't seem very realistic. Will version 4 improve on this?Also is it possible to incorporate an FSS into RC? At uncontrolled airports CYEP and CYMM I have the 1. FSS WX available but when 1. is press all I get back is static, as if the wrong frequency was selected. Using your latest version 2264 and have looked in the manual to see if their is a frequency to tune but could not find one. Installed updated version of rcv3.1 and controller files 11 and 12The rcv update file says it assumes you have the optional chatter pilots 88-90I looked in Winwood folder and do not have these foldersI do have folders 1-12 and then it starts again at 91.Where do I find 88-90Thanks for help

JD-I don't know if I'm just going deaf or what, but there are a few controllers that I just can't understand! Then, if I ask for repeats, I get chewed out at the debrief.So, is it possible to remove some of the voices without it affecting the program at all? Thanks for the answer to my first set of questions, here are a couple more.I like to take some longer flights across the country and I do not like to have to sit here and manage the radios the whole way. Does the copilot feature of RC handle the radios automatically so I can run to the store if I need to? I would be flying the PMDG or PSS jets so LNAV and VNAV would be controlled by the aircraft.I thought I read somewhere that the RC controller might vector you into a mountain, it said something like the controller did not have any terrain clearance info. I tried out the Radar Contact feature which displays the spoken ATC instructions as text in the advdisp pane. Would it be possible to tweak it so that the spelling would be a bit "eye-friendlier", for example instead of "FIN AIR 1 2 3 FLY HEADING 250", say "Finnair 123, fly heading 250" etc.JD?

Anyone know if it'll work with radar contact? Or if it can be made to work with it in the future?It would be great to actually talk to ATC rather than say "select option 1" and then it presses the button and the ATC voice speaks for you.Thanks, Mark

Hello,I am debating purchasing RC after just having gone for a flight and getting such crappy vectors from the FS9 ATC. I had a 737 pass me on final about 2 miles from the end of runway! And that's after the approach controller clears me for the ILS 35 miles out and has me contact the tower at the same time!!! Anyway, here are my questions.1) How user friendly is the user interface? I read the manual and it seems to show a little black box that you dock somewhere on your panel. Hi,First thing I'd like to say is RC rocks! It really adds to the experience. Ok, ran into a problem: I was told to contact arrival but wasn't given the proper freq in the menu. Over and over again I was told to contact arrival. I scrolled through the menu but couldn't locate it, I looked at my radios and the proper freq was turned on, but, on the menu the old freq was still listed. Any insight on this?Another small one: How do you disable FS9's atc? Hi,I have been using RC succesfully with FS9 for sometime now. Suddenly one day I load RC and recive an error code:'Component 'COMDLG32.OCX' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid'I have a clean install of FS9 and I downloaded all the updates for RCV3.1 (I had 3.01 previously). I am using RCV3.0 FSUIPC Version 3.10 Registered. FS 2002. Having problems with the sound, the controller breaks up- " Turn left heading..........(A five second gap) 250" " Delaware 480 fly.....(Break of 5 seconds) heading 246 descend......(gap of five seconds) and maintain 10thousand." Also if I use CTRL+ALT+M to use the copilot, the autopilot turns off, and the panel blanks out.With this version should I be using the RCV3.1 as well?. Any help would be much appreciated.
