I've used RC v3.1 with FS2002 and it worked fine. I've upgraded to FS9 and RC still works fine, but I've come across a problem with transponders. I like to fly the older vintage planes in FS9, such as the DC3, but this stock aircraft has no transponder. Departure control in RC just keeps telling me "I'm not receiving your transponder....." over and over again. Is there a work around or solution to be able to fly these vintage aircraft in FS9 on IFR flights in Radar Contact?Any help would be appreciated. Great job on Radar Contact! I'm a commuter airline pilot in RL and RC is, as microsoft says, as real as it gets. Great product. Thanks

Hi,I have experienced that when I am at approach course, RC ATC does not separate me enought from other planes which are in front of me for landing or are parallel for a parallel runway approach.I experience that while using AS2004 with Wake Turbolence set ON. RC sends me right into a wake if a BIG Iron touched down befor me. Doesnt RC know if the AI in front of me is/was a big one or a cessna?

Flying KABQ to KDEN, descent to 240-170-150, then warned not to exceed 250 kts, complied with the 250 kts max. After landing critique exceeding 250 kts on several occasions- I thought that this applied to 100 only not 150, or am I mistaken.

Every flight so far at least once, atc will tell me I am way off course. They will tell me that and give me a heading to fly, then tell me to resume own navigation when able. All of this is happening when i am directly on course. My FMC and nav radios show I am perectely on course. Also, some times on t/o they dont vector me to the first point. I'll take off, and ATC will give me only altitude directions. I never gte course vectoring. This usually happens when I t/o without a SID. Any suggestions?BRad

I have a quick question for you all. I am interested in buying Radar Contact as I would like to use the advanced instrument procedures it would add to FS9. Although this is a plus, the lack of AI control is a BIG negetive. I use Ultimate Traffic and would like the ATC to be able to communicate with AI traffic generated by UT as well. I want to wait for the v4 but at the same time I dont. What will be the upgrade procedures to upgrade from the current version, to v4 when it becomes available? I dont want to have to pay 40 bucks now and 40 later when v4 comes out. Also when is the general time that v4 may be released so I can see about how long I would need to wait i…

Hi,On approach, I was told by RC ATC to "decent and maintain 6000 until established on the localizer, cleared to land...". I was landing on LIRQ, which is a small airfield in Italy with the PMDG 737NG. RWY 5, altitude 144 ft... 6000 ft is way to high, so I was capturing the glideslope from above, which is not a good idea... It took me three missed approaches (I even forgot to lower my landing gear when focusing on the GS too much ;-)) before ignoring the designated altitude and flying in at 3000 ft to capture GS. What determines the altitude for final approach as to capture the GS properly? Thanks,RudiNOTE: Looking at the approachplate, transition altitude is 6000, than de…

Lately I've noticed that AI aircraft are often busy on a specific runway, say 27L at KPHL and RC gives me RWY 8. Is there a reason why I'm given a runway other than the main runway in use or is this just a disconnect between RC and MS AI? I very much like having to wait my turn.

For the second or third time since running RC I got what sounded like all the random chatter run quickly together which went on for about a minute and then finally ended. It sounds like snippets played over previous snippets and not complete phrases. At one point I heard, in different voices, "Ground, Grou, Ground, Ground, Ground, Ground, Grou, Groun..."Then for the first time in my flight to Newark tonight, I passed a checkpoint and got the beep to just keep beeping until I forced it off by leaving the freq for weather.I also would like to find out if it wouldn't be possible for you to store an array where you keep the most current valid directives and just have the pilo…

In my flights I've getting altimeter corrections SEVERAL times per flight for 40 minute flights and they're often quite far ranging. One moment I'll get 2989 and within 10 minutes I'll get another update for 3010. Then 10 minutes later, 2994 and so forth. I'm just curious if this is proper operation or if I've got something else goofed up somewhere or if MS' ATC with a rare change (and usually only as a result of LONG distance or altitude) is more realistic.I also had one other altimeter oddity. I used the co-pilot for the first time which showed me some interesting interaction and gave me correct procedure and such but one thing was interesting. ATC came back with "Altim…

Per my local SID from KMSP to KFAR I choose a direct KMSP to VOR FAR to KFAR for high altitude travel. I get the departure vectors and eventually get the resume own nav. At that point I home the FAR VOR CDI and track, about 120nm remaining. RC ATC is unhappy with that claiming I'm off course, so I accept the vector correction and merge with the flightpath shown on my Apollo GPS onto which I've loaded the plan and RC ATC appears happy. The point is, would not RC expect me to fly the direct route to the next waypoint regardless of the original filed path which can not know where departure vectoring will release me to resume my own nav?

Hi,I'm using RC3 since the beginning and now I'm asking myself if it's possible to hear some other ATC voices. I could not find an option, slider or something like that in RC3.In FS 2004 you have the choice to select other ATC voices.I already printed the manual and I could not find a proper topic.Maybe anybody willing to help me out? Thanks!Constantin

Hi,Let me run this by you, so I am sure I understand this:1. I have filed a flightplan which takes me EAST including a DP EAST.2. First WPT is within 30 NM, no Flex.Dep.Proc. checked in RC...3. The active RWY (assigned by ATC) however takes me NORTH...4. Because the first WPT is within 30 NM I don't get vectors...5. I program the FMC with the Departure Procedure for the active RWY which takes me EAST...6. Both DP's have a common WPT at the end of the procedure...7. After I have flown my active RWY Departure to the EAST, I choose 'DIR WPT' in the ADV Display and choose the common waypoint to fly to...8. So I am back on course on my filed route afterall. Is this the right wa…

I'm having some trouble flying a plan from KPHL (Philly) to KBWI (Baltimore). The plan was created in FS Nav and I use the Fly Plan feature of FS Nav to fly much of the route. A few questions arise out of this. Here's the data from the PLN file edited down to the core waypoint into:waypoint.0=KPHLwaypoint.1=MXEwaypoint.2=GLOMOwaypoint.3=BELAYwaypoint.4=TRISHwaypoint.5=KBWII take off and follow published departure procedures as directed and head towards MXE. All is fine.I then cross MXE and head to GLOMO. All is fine. While on the way to BELAY (about half-way), ATC cuts in and tells me to fly heading xxx (today it was heading 150 which is perpendicular to the course I was …

Hello! I recently recieved my copy of Radar Contact V3. I installed it and the program came up fine and I was going to e-mail for my registration code. I couldn't though, because my e-mail was not working. Then I did a system recovery due to a problem w/my system. (formatted the hard drive)I installed FS2002, 767PIC, and then Radar Contact Version 3When I try to run it I get an error message that says "System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770). The specified module could not be found" I uninstalled it via the Start- Ctrl. Panel- Add remove programsI then reinstalled it and I'm still getting the error message. Greetings, I have noticed a problem when using FSMeteo and RCV3. When I am receiving ATIS at my departure airport it always reports the winds as "calm" even when they are not, also ATIS never reports a visibility value it just says "visibility"..... then goes on with the rest of the report. I have contacted Marc Philbert about this and he said he has never heard of this problem. Can someone help? I am using FS98, RCV3 , FSMeteo V5.2 and FSUIPC V2.95. Thank You RPM.

Hello friends,Can anybody help me please? Here is my problem with RC.I load the Fs2004 and select the flight for RC, then I minimize FS and load up RC, I select the flight, then when I click on Controller Info, I received the following message:Run Time Error 713Class not registeredYou need the following file to be installed on your machine. MSSTDFMT.DLLI have looked for the file and found it at Windows/System folder so it is in the machine. Any suggestions ?Thx for your time and help.Regards,Juliet Lima

A suggestion for the next version if it is possible. Include an option to keep flying while suspending RC. I would like to keep some of my long distance flights going while I get the grandchildren milk and cookies, and all sorts of other normal interruptions. If I don't respond to RC during these times, I get terminated. Pausing FS doesn't solve the distance problem. I would like to suspend RC, and then pick it up again when I return to the computer. This will probably offend the purists among us but would solve a practical problem.I usually fly non-MS aircraft, so turning the aircraft over the the copilot doesn't solve the problem either. Or, did I miss something …

Hi,This happened to me...I am on final approach, cleared to land, when I see a MD-80 getting ready to taxi into position on the runway. Is it my own responsibility to go arround or, as RC3.1 is AI aware, should I wait for Approach to, either tell me to go arround, or tell the MD-80 to hold short? I was flying an IAP-approach, not a vectored one!!BTW. I collided with the MD-80 on the runway... ;-(Thanks,Rudi Langezaal
