This file in my radar contact folder was identified by my Spyware program as Spy My PC Pro a keystroke logger. I am fully aware that these spyware removal programs make mistakes, and wonder if this is a legitimate Radar Contact file probably used to uninstall the program so I can leave it alone. Spyware can land anywhere on one's computer so it could have wound up in this folder as well. Thanks,Greg

It has been a few months since I last used RC, but I always used to be able to use RC along with ActiveSky, Flight Deck Companion and FSHotSeatFX simultaneously. The only problem was that I had to load HotSeat after FDC or FDC would tell me there were not enough hotkeys available.I have been doing a lot of VFR flying recently and just decided to use RC again the other day. The problem is that all the programs seem to load OK, but when I press the keys to contact clearance or ground, I usually get no sound. I repeated the experiment, loading only RC and FS9 and still had problems. Sometimes the clearance sound files will play and tell me to contact ground, but the grou…

The interaction with AI. Got a visit from the FSDO after an Egypt Air heavy landed on my runway behind me.Went something like this:RC HECA TWR: King Air 18AF, runway 5L, winds calm, cleared to land.18AF: Roger, cleared to land, 5LMSFS ATC: EGYPT AIR XXX Heavy, cleared to land, RWY 5L.EA XXX: Roger, cleared to land. Now, I know that AI aircraft frequently ignore other aircraft in the pattern, and with the Aeroworx King Air that can cause a rapid, spontaneous down trim and resulting "lawn dart maneuver" so I was cautious. The heavy looked quite a ways back, so I figured that once I touched down, he'd get a go around. When I touched down, I heard this:RC HECA TWR: King Air 8…

I have been running RC on a networked computer with my Project Magenta setup in order to take the load off my main flight sim computer. However, since I did a reinstall of WinXP, some of the RC components are not properly registered anymore. I cant seem to find my RC disk (honestly, I did purchase it) and was wondering if there is anyway I can do some command line stuff so it will run again??thanksJohn WhiteNewburgh, IN

I see that RC3 cost $44 and I think I have read that an upgrade fromRC3 to RC4 will cost $10 less the the new price for RC4.If RC4 will cost $44 this means that buying RC3 now means an additional cost of $34 compared to getting only RC4 when it comes.Do I understand this correctly or do I miss something? I mean $34 extra for usin RC during two months (I have read RC4 expected around Januarey) sounds rather pricy.

Hi there,I just recently got a new PC and read through many of the great tips/tricks here with regards to getting my RC3 up-to-date.Is there anything else I need to do to register other than just sending the registration email with the code through the RC interface? Thanks and looking forward to being cursed out for not flying my pattern right ;-)Petehttp://members.aol.com/pzsoulman/myhomepage/logo.gifAMD64-3400,1GB/2700DDRAM,WinXP(SP2),DirectX9.0c,Geforce6800(128MB)(Det.66.81), CH Yoke/Pedals

For some reason my way points are displayed as K6 K6 K6 etc Or K7 K7 K7 etc. I am building my Flight Plans with FS4. When I try to fly the flt Headings are different from the flight plan. This problem started "all of a sudden". I thought it might have been when I installed Flight Deck Companion. However when I uninstalled FDC the problem was still there. All the other flights that I built before installing FDC are OK. Would restoring Windows XP PRO back to a previous date correct the problem? What else do I need to tell you here to help you solve my problem? Thanks in advance.Harry

The last few days the Adventure Display has been unusable. When first opened it is fairly stable, meaning that the text doesn't flash except the last line a little. Within a few minutes all the text begins to flash on and off and finaly disappears. All that remains is the ADV window. You can still press the keyboard to respond to the ATC.I have the latest build, the latest FSUIPC and ADV.dll. I've also replace the ADV.dll just to see if it was corrupt.Any ideas?Terry

Hi all, I setup a flight plan to go from RKSI (Incheon Korea) to RJBB (Osaka Japan). My aircraft placement was gate 47 at RKSI. When I loaded the plan in RC and started the program it kicked (moved) my aircraft over to nearby airport RKSK (Susaek Aero). The proper name for RKSI, according to FSNav was Incheon Intl. Your a2.txt file calls this airport "R-217 Aero" which in effect is RKSK as you can see from the exerpts from a2.txt that I cut and pasted below. Is there anything in that info that may be causing this problem? Also, in the same area I noticed for RKSS, FSNav calls this airport Gimpo (Seoul). a2.txt calls it Kimpo Intl. as shown below. Is this also a po…

Today I had a flight from KDEN to KBOS in a 757. Just east ofthe Chicago area I was given a deviation of 20 left for traffic.About 5 seconds after I made my turn a airliner came flying byat the same altitude, close enough to burn my paint. WHEW. Definatelya mid air avoided. I don't use markers on my AI so its hard to see them. Thanks RC for saving my butt.

JD, PSS's new Concorde 2004 is a fabulous aircraft, but.........with regards to RC's future version, I am wondering if there will be a call in to Center control about the need for, how do I put this... altitude deviance tolerance.... What I have discovered so far is that at Mach 2.00 cruise altitude can vary 1 or 2 thousand feet throughout the flight depending on a lot of factors which you cannot alter, mainly weather programs like ActiveSky. That kind of altitude deviation will drive RC3.1 crazy I'm sure. Now, I guess we could just use the Dev.Turb. menu item, but that's not really the reason, so I'm wondering how that could work in future versions?Randy Jura, KPDX

1. I noticed that in the manual that there is no AI traffic option, but in the setup, I have a check-box for AI Traffic. What is this about and how does this work?2. Doesn't the ATC supposed to give me directions to a runway for departure?3. What does the 'Debug' icon do in the main menu?4. I've had RC crash on me a couple times. What I mean is, when I'm flying, and when I try to select a numbered option on the avdisp, I get no response. The options doesn't work.5. When does RC4 release, and is there a discount for RC3 owners :) .

Just reinstalled RC and updated to ver 3.1 .In the options screen the 250kt Alt restriction value shows after the installation as "10000" and also the help onder the cursor says: "Enter 250kt restriction altitude nnnnn".But I remember that I always had it in FL format (so "100" instead of "10000") and also the picture in the original RC3 manual (page 84) show it entered as "100".:-hmmm Could someone pls. advice me about this. Thanks,

Here's the situation: I'm flying along my filed route, the FMS is tracking perfectly to the next way point, 0.0 nm deviation from the course. True heading to the WP is 345. ATC comes on and says "fly heading 325 until receiving suitable for navigation, proceed direct when able." Turning to this heading would take me off course, and as far as I could tell, I WAS heading direct to the next way point, so I just kept on course. So now every 30 seconds I get the same instructions from ATC. Finally I turn to the instructed heading just to get it to shut up, and watch the deviation from my filed route grow and grow. After a while I'd turn to head direct to the waypoint, a…

It's been more than a year since I flew with RC (for various reasons, mostly that I wasn't flying AT ALL), and I'd forgotten how sarcastic the debrief can be. During my flight from KSAN to KSDL today, I got clearance to descend at pilot's discretion, then miscalculated the descent point. Oops. To make matters worse, I missed a couple calls that were stepped on by the default ATC chatter. The RC3.1 debriefer's comment began, "You need to clean the wax out of your ears..."It sure made me pay attention on the next leg of my flight...which ended in Tulsa with a beautiful ILS approach to 18L and an okay landing. The debriefer said, "You're obviously a rated pilot...or you s…

First, thanks for this great software!I like the various chatter, but it's a little unrealistic to have a controller all to myself (synthetic voice is unique). Is there a way to have purely sythetic chatter? Seems like setting the chatter slider down to 0 makes it way too quiet.Regards,Kurt

Hi,I'm looking for the ultimate ATC addon, and Radar Contact looks like the best one, but after ATC simulator 2 I am a bit spoiled using my voice instead of the keyboard. I saw in a thread from awhile ago that you did not plan to include speech rec in version 4. I would like to plead with you to reconsider. It's actually not THAT hard to implement- I wrote a voice buddy type program in a couple of days. I would add SO MUCH to the experience it can't be measured. Believe me, it would be worth it to spend an hour training the speech engine. I believe XP comes with the speech engine built in as well.

I am a new RC user and have just reformatted my drive and all software freshlyinstalled. Im using RC 301, no problems b4 even though I only used it a few times. So my problem is ATC vectors me away basically off into the opposite direction of myfiled plan?.This has happened twice in a row, 1st time I thought I may have had input errorssomewhere. Im using the PMG737, loading the flight plan from FS9 which is a duplicateplan as used by PMG FMC. I takeoff from the active runway as directed and then am told to fly off in the opposite direction?Changes in alitude are given and eventually told to fly using my own navigation, as soon as I do that ATC tells me Im off course?Cheer…

Hi JD,I need to re-install RC3 to a new computer. Is it possible to just do the minimal installation then, after receiving the new key from you, copy all files (updates and voice updates) from my old computer over this installation ?I am currently at version 3.0.1734 as I'm still using FS2002, but plan to start using fS9 soon and then to update to the current version of RC.Thanks in advance for advice.:-wave
