When I start using RCV3.1 the first thing is playing ATIS. After ATIS is being repeated for 2-5 times FS crashes down. To avoid this crashes I have to call ground befor ATIS repeats for the first time. Otherwise FS crashes. Sometimes after the 2nd repeat, sometimes after the 5th repeat. But it crashes always, perhaps after the 10th, but it will crash! Normaly I use FSMeteo and PMDG737. But also using non of additional software (with FS aircrafts and no weather program) this crash happens. I also recognized in flight, when I call for ATIS it takes nearly 3 minutes to play ATIS and nearly 3 minutes to return to center. The waypoints I pass meanwhile are not recognized by RC…

I was thinking this morning that since I have been flying the PMDG 737, I have done quite well in flying this aircraft. Hand flying ILS approaches with low ceilings are pretty easy for me at this point and it has been quite a while simce I have had any type of accident. Then I remembered the "Failure Mode" in the PMDG menu,, and I realized that I don't have anything set to fail in that menu. Obviously this would generate some suspence in flying the 737, but I am wondering what types of failures and what frequency would generate a fairly realistic failure rate on the PMDG. Any suggestions from people that have the failure mode turned on as to what you use, and find rea…

Would it be possible to add a button to the RC window that suspends reading the keyboard input? This would be useful for starting multi-engine prop or turbo-prop aircraft where you want to select one engine at a time with "E 1" or "E 2" and then reselect both with "E 1 2". Currently RC interprets the 1 and 2 keys as ATC commands. I was also just reading where this behavior was causing someone difficulty using the keyboard to enter data into the PMDG 737 FMC. I know the RC keys can be remapped to Ctrl-Shift combinations, but personally I find those extremely cumbersome to use.Mark Kuebeler

When surface winds are absent (ie- 345/00), say at KLAX, FS9 chooses runways 25 and 24, RCV3.1 chooses the 7 and 6 side. In the instance of no winds, does RCV3.1 always choose the lowest numbered runway? and will version 4 of RC be in step with FS9's choices in this regard? Also, will version 4.0 of RC be able to tell us arrival airport weather prior to contacting approach? Thanks all, RC is an awesome program!Randy Jura, KPDX

I believe RCv3.1 is installed correctly and the 3.xx (current) version of fsuipc, but there is no info in the display box- blank. The fsuipc log says the RC program is not accredited. What do I need to do? thanks, lr.

Hey all, I love Radar Contact. I've been using it for a few days now and I'm really enjoying it. I have a question though. I created a new flight in the hopes that I would not hear the default FS2004 ATC while using RC. But I'm still hearing default ATC. I even have ATC turned off in the sim. Is it normal to still hear default ATC? I did create my flight plan in FS2004 and exported it into RC upon startup. Could this be why? Maybe I'm just an idiot but as I said I have default ATC turned off in the sim. Thanks for any replies. Bob

I'm not sure I'm too clear on this, but am running FS2002. Want to install and also run FS9 with fsuipc 3.xx. So I need to download the files for 3.1 beta, correct? Then I have the RC program and one RC icon. Do I use this one icon to connect to either FS2002 or FS9? Or how do I do it? thanks, lr.

Doug and I will be traveling tommorrow so response time for key requests, help requests etc. will be a little slower than usual. If you need help with something leave a note for JD here on the forum and I'm sure he will be glad to help you.

I received my registration code via email this morning. I have followed all instructions to a tee when trying to register. It just doesn't work. I start Radar Contact and I copy and paste my reg. code in the proper box. But when I push the register button nothing happens. I have uninstalled and reinstalled RC 4 times. I have the same problem each time.I am sick of trying to get this program working. Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong. Right now I am very frustrated and feel that I have wasted $44. Bob

While flying in Colorado, I sometimes get an ATC'er with a British accent. I have nothing against the Brits but that is somewhat unrealistic. How can I limit the voices used by RC3.1 to those that may normally occur in a geographic region?

During the cruise session of the flight, I like to alt-tab and browse the net or even possibly interact with my wife. One good thing about the MS ATC is that it won't cancel your flight if you fail to contact a center frequency during the cruise portion. Thus, you can put your flight on autopilot, hand over the controls to the co-pilot, leave the computer, and go to the kitchen and fix that ham sandwich you've been wanting. Once near top of descent, you can come back and re-establish contact with center. Along more general lines, is RC punitive in nature? By that I mean, if you fail to follow directions such as hand-off, will RC harass you or will it cancel your fligh…
