I need to reinstall RC. I have ADVDISP and the registered version of FSUIPC. As the install progress, it asked me what I wanted to delete in the install, which would be fsuipc and advdisp. FSUIPC has 3 icons in flight sim. Do I need to "backup" the 3 icons? Thanks in advance, JH.

hello folks i have the latest version of advdisp, and i have a problem when im running radar contac, when i load the program it will come up in the advdisp but after a short time it will vanish from the advdisp, it will reapear and then vanish again.radar contact will still be running i just cant control it or see what to do is there a problem that i can fix, all other displays will come up .thanks..................Robert

I filed a flightplan from KIAH to KSAV using FSBuild. I imported the plan into RC. I notice the first waypoint on the flightplan is BDDRO intersection. RC shows this waypoint as 45 nm from KIAH. This is clearly outside of the 30 mile limit RC recognizes. On the Beaumont Four Departure SID chart BPT4.BPT indicates I should receive vectors to the BDDRO intersection. When I takeoff should I proceed to the first waypoint (BDDRO) or should I expect some vectors from RC? RC shows BDDRO from KIAH heading 95 and 45nm (at gate). I am trying to learn the SID and STAR procedures. When I chose this particular SID in FSBuild I did not know about the 30 mile restriction as wel…

Gents; Since installing the latest build (2272), I am experiencing intermittent dropouts on the controller voice. When this occurs I will hear the copilot read back clearances that didn't come across...and the chatter seems to come and go as well. FS has the focus in every case. The last flight with the PMDG 737 was the worst so far, with the controller's voice appearing and then disappearing 4-5 times through a 1-hr flight. I run RC3.1 on a secondary PC via WideFS. I've tried to upgrade my Version 3 to version 3.1 but the green information box at the top of the screen is different to that shown in the Manual. How can I copy it I so that I can show it and ask for help in rectifying the problem?Briefly there are several little meaningless boxes that shouldn't be there with the result that the information box isn't particularly clear.Cliff (In Spain)

The reason i ask is that i need an atc program which will vector my flight as my fmc flys the same flight plan. Pmdg has .RTE and fs9 uses .pln, what about RC?Thanks from Joe

I like to fly the awesome Altitude Concorde by Koch. I try and use ATC; but as soon as the plane starts a slow climb...I'm cancelled shortly thereafter. RC seems to be the ticket. So, would this work OK for Concorde...as depending on temps etc....when in Max Cruise/Climb mode..the plane may actually descend again to maintain speed as the real plane does. IE; Step climbs. Getting tired of ATC cancelling...so just wanted to see if RC handled this particular situation well...without ATC hassles and or cancelled flightplan.Thanks for the info.Best,David

Hi., I dont have hear pilot voice enabled at the moment, just the controllers. When the controllers give me "traffic" calls i hear someone responding. During the rest of the flight i never hear the pilot voice. A minor bug, but would like to remove it anyways if at all possibleCheersDan :)

I was just wondering how people fly long range routes using Radar Contact? I'm thinking of getting the PMDG 747 when it's released, and I don't fancy sitting there for 12 hours on a flight from London to Los Angeles.I'm aware that traffic vectors need to be turned to zero, as RC can't communicate with the non-standard PMDG autopilot.Will RC be able to change the radio freq in a non-standard aircraft?Also, will I be able to increase the sim rate to shorten the journey, or will this have any adverse affects?Thanks for any info.-Phil

I had to do a reinstall of windowsXP on my machine that has Radar Contact on it.Now, when I try to run the program, it tells me some modules are not properly registered.It did it with mscomctrl.ocx, which i corrected by reregistering.But now Im getting another message about anothe .ocx module.Is there anyway to register all the necessary modules with RC without doing a complete reinstall???Thanks in advance.John WhiteNewburgh, Inhttp://jtw737.mysimflight.com

Hi AllAll the planes I have on my program use the default Auto Pilot system which works excellent with Radar Contact.I have been contemplating purchasing an aircraft which uses a Flight Management System and was wondering how this interacts with Radar Contact.Also if purchased is it possible to load a flight plan from FSNav into the FMS then Radar Contact.Tks. for any info.Kenny G.

Ever sence I've upgraded FS2004 with the new patch, Radar Contact won't work. I can load a flight plan into it and i have adv display showing the RC panel, however when I press a key to get weather for example, no sound. I'll try to goto Clearance and Delivery and that key won't work either. I downloaded the 2272 version but I'm getting the same results.....I'm using fsuipc 3.4 registered version as well.Any one out there have any idea what might be wrong?

Hello all.,My question is a general one. I currently run FS9 with RCV3.1, FDC and AS2004.5. Is there any reason not to add Ultimate Traffic to this list i.e will RC see the traffic in the same way it does with default traffic. At the moment i am happy how RC views default AI traffic, e.g receiving "go-around" instruction if there is a plane on the landing runway.Thanks in advance for any advice on thisCheersDan:)

According to the manual (p.99) its possible to save AdvDisp in the docked position by rightclicking and choose "save" in the pop-up menu. When I try this there is no menuitem called "save".Best RegardsLars

I was doing tutorial 3 and it tells me to switch over to my co-pilot. After doing so, my co-pilot still doesn't do anything, especially during the Emergency practice when it says in the manual that 'Otto' will make the emergency and makes the decision of wwhich airport to go.I do get the acknowledgement that the co-pilot has the plane, but doesn't do anything at all. Am I missing something?

Does anybody know of a good site where I can download world airport diagrams and their gates for me to taxi in. I think it's awesome practice to know where you're going once you've landed, or even taxiing to your takeoff runway. Thanks.

I am attempting to use the tutorial for RC and am having some problems.I'm a little inexperienced with laying out multiple waypoints for the plan KDSM-KORD, which is the first tutorial.I've tried using some of the flight plans included with the RC disk but some are not working, especially NAV3.1. Anyhelp would be appreciated. By the way, I'm using FS2004.

When I ask for the weather message (FSS) and the Clearance (FSS) before take off, I do not get a "Repeat last instruction" when I press Ctrl-Shift-/. It's important for me because until I'm used to these messages they can be a little hard to catch. Anobody who knows What's wrong here?CheersLars Frederiksen

Consider Simflyers KLAX, RC3.1 Build 2272, FsNavigator and a custom AFCAD for KLAX.I am having a difficult time aligning to runways for ILS approaches. FsNavigator is reporting runway/ILS data drawn from SF-KLAXrwo1.bglThe custom AFCAD is located in the addon scenery default directory and has different assignments than FsNavigator.RC assigns a runway heading and frequency which is consistent with FsNavigator.However, I can never line up, get a LOC etc. For purposes of the ILS landing, which is taking precedent, the AFCAD or the KLAX rwy01.bgl?What can I do to bring everything into alignment.? Do I edit the runways.cvs file to reflect what is in the AFCAD?ThanksDom

Will the weather avoidance procedures be better in RCv4 than at the present. As I understand it, at the moment, requesting turns for weather will be denied if you're within x miles of a waypoint on your route.Also, if you are on weather avoidance, RC will tell you to get back on route when approaching the next waypoint.Just wondering whether more realistic procedures will come about with RCv4. Maybe taking turns for avoidance and then when you're done, telling RC where you want to nav to.Also, are expecting RC4 sometime this year? Just trying to get a gauge on how long until it is released.Thanks for any info.-Phil

JD,Ever since the patch to FS9.1 I have been losing RC audio during the approach phase.I get clearance to get wx, then afterwards follow instructions to start the descent and hand hand off to approach for final vectors......and that is where I lose RC. I never get to the final altitude for glideslope and localizer capture.I am using RC31_v2272. Do you need files from me to check it out?ThanksDom

I just received RCv3 yesterday and installed it, along with the V3.1 update and all the other updates.Now, my FS2004 will no longer run. It just stalls at the title screen. What is up? Please help.
