Ken Salter's FS Configurator version 1.5 freeware has been released. Due to upgrade #### time constraints, I only installed the program and used his Taxi Speed tool which modifies the .dll that concerns this. I have not had time to plane spot. It is on AVSIM and Flightsim. There are two parameters. One is taxiway speed and the other labeled Land-Taxi I would expect to be runway exiting.Why post here? I am so fed up with the default ATC of FS9 (not SID, STAR procedures and very strange guidance in mountainous areas) that I am looking into RC. I saw a post where AI is mentioned. Does the present version of RC support AI traffic ?Roger

The left Column, headed KDSM (Departure), on the Controller Info page in my Manual does NOT include an option called MSA. However it DOES appear on the bottom of the list on my screen with the figure 4700 next to it.What is this please?Cliff

I flew into KSFM, which is an uncontrolled (non-towered) airport. I was cleared for the approach and handed off to tower. After landing I was handed off to ground. Since in real life there is no tower or ground at KSFM, why did RC create one? The tower frequency used was also made up and was not the same as the actual CTAF.When I checked the "controller info" screen in the RC screen, tower and ground are both checked. Do I need to modify this to tell RC that a field is non-towered and give it the correct CTAF? Is there also a way to use the correct ASOS/AWOS frequency for WX prior to being handed off to advisory frequency? Thanks for your help. -Neil

In explaining NOTAMS in the Manual it's noted that "RC expects you to tell the Controller when you are on course and able to follow his altitude instructions"How do we contact the controller to give that information?Cliff

It has been some considerable time since last using "Radar Contact". During that time, after launch, the AdvDisp box was waiting on the screen with it's menu available to me.I now want to test my knoweledge of PMDG 737-700 with an ATC guided flight but the menu box is no longer on the screen after launching "Radar Contact".I'd appreciate guidance on how to display it again.Cliff

Hey all, Im a newbie saying hi... While flying the other day i thought id make it more intresting and get some failures going.. then i was like #### too bad u cant declare emergencies!! Then it hit me i had RC3 somewhere in my pile of cd's i tottaly forgot about, well i installed it, installed the update everything seems fine, so i load it into fs9 but when i get the green box to select options from, some items i cant understand its just letters with bunch of boxes? can hardly understand what im picking? anyone can help out? greatly appreaciate it.

Ever since upgrading my OS to WinXP-Home, I have this problem with my mouse. Whenever RC3.1 is talking I can't control the mouse. I have to wait until everyone quits talking to be able to change altitude, course, etc. I have a MS Wheel mouse with the proper (I think) drivers for XP). Sometimes it's not as bad but just now I was landing my PMDG 737-800 at Seattle and it was impossible to control the mouse whenever someone in RC was talking. Anyone have a clue? I sure don't. :-hmmm

After installing all the updates and reading the manual, and many of the previous posts on this forum, I just loaded RC v3.1, and decided to take a short trip from KFIT to KMHT to shoot the rwy 06 ILS. I got in the air and contacted approach, but the Boston approach controller sounded more like he's from jolly old England (with a thick British accent) than any controller here in snowy New England. I know that many of our British friends have suffered with FS controllers that have US accents, but I figured that the opposite wouldn't be true in RC. :-) Have I mis-configured something or is it just luck what accent the controller has and can it be configured, so that con…

Hello,I am currently using a networked flightsim configuration with the latest versions of widefs 6.47 and fsuipc 3.47. I am running RC 3.1, activesky and active air source on the remote pc. I am getting a "Subscript out of range error '9' from radar contact". I am getting the "IPC request contains invalid data" in the advdisplay/showtext window on my remote pc. I have been able to reproduce this event. It is occuring on a flight plan from KBOI to KIAH. I am routing through KBOI-PIH-OCS-etc. I travel about 50 miles into the OCS segment and I get this error. JD,Just a thought, but would it be possible with RC4 to be able to configure the sound device to be used, in a similar way that one can do with AVC / RogerWilco? If so this would open the possibility of having RC through headphones connected to one sound device (e.g. motherboard) and other sim sounds through primary sound device being a separate sound card.Regards,Stuart Hyett

I bet this question has been asked 100 times 100 different ways.I can't use OTTO because I am using Level D or other software run panels like PSS. After I land, when I press key 1 to contact ground at egll (any rwy) I have a CTD (atc.dll error). I use uk2000 egll scenery. could it be a wrong ground freq? A conflit with default fs9 atc? I tried to switch off all afcad in the area, flying with default cessna, no other add-on except fsuipc, but the result is the same. Only if I eliminate uk2000 scenery the crash doesn't happen. One of the product specifications for RCV3 was that it allows you to fly the STAR just as if it were off the Jepp Plate. Currently I have used the product three times and I can't get it to allow me to follow the FMC programmed route (the STAR). For example, when I got close, within 10 miles of the airport, at KLAS it vectored me almost 180 degrees away from the airport and then back in to the left. This was way off procedure. I was wonder if you have heard anything about RC3 disrupting the autopilot of the LDS-767? I've done 10 flights in the 767 so far, same flight, same weather etc.. 6 were disasters where the autopilot went out of control and 4 flights were uneventful. The 6 that went bad the only difference was that I used RC3 on those flights. The LDS team is blaming RC3 but my issue with that is the fact that RC3 has worked fine on ALL my other payware aircraft and I have em all.Will

Hi, I have been using RC for many years now and I love it! and never had any problems. I recently bought a new computer and updated FS2002 to FS9 and Win 98SE to XP. I updated everything for RC (RC 3.1, FSUIPC 3.44, wav files etc.)I usually run long flights so I use the copilot. I give her the comms after contacting ground and the plane usually after departure. She always asks for an altimeter check shortly after taking the plane. then I get the message that the altimeter is set wrong and push b but It won't change. The second problem is RC freezes after contacting aproach. I can't change the menu, or take back the comms or plane. I check task manager and it shows "not re…

Since I use FS2004 (with PMDG and LDS767) together with RC 3.1 I have a strange problem: Everytime I start RC, I get an extra window opened with the spot view of the airport and the external sound of the aircraft even while using the cockpit view. I cannot close that window, frame rates are going down and the noise from the spot view overrides the cockpit sounds.what am I missing here?Andreas HermesEDDH

FYI I am a brand new user. I have only used the product with only one single flight - KDEN TO KORD and it was my second flight with the new LevelD 767-300ER. I departed fine but after a few VORs or waypoints I passed the HCT VOR and all of a sudden it told me I was "off course, turn back 230 degrees...." that was a 180 degree turn around! There was nothing I could do but turn the bird around! I didn't have time for that, kinda pushed for time...so I exited out. Anybody have any ideas? I filed a flight plan from Kabul (OAKB) to Khojaghar (OAKG), Afganistan. I used Bagram (OAIX)as my first and only interim waypoint. I realize it is within 30 miles of Kabul and was very careful to fly directly over the base. Received the "ding" (more than once, in fact it dinged several times as I flew over the base) and the next waypoint, Khojaghar, immediatley appeared along with the remaining distance and relevant heading. A few minutes later the controller says I've strayed off course and wants me to do a 180 back toward Bagram "until receiving suitable for own navigation".
