Hello all.,I have a question regarding direct gps flight planning.Basically, i load my flight plan in RC3 which i have saved from FS2004 (eg Madrid direct gps to Heathrow). I have no en-route waypoints or vor's etc. Not long after departure atc tells me to "resume own navigation". If i continue on my current heading then i am told i am of course during descent somewhere over the english channel. When told to "RONavigation", after departure, should i instead turn toward the purple line which i can see on the Heading Indicator?(I am flying level-D767 by the way). I have read previous posts on related problems, and gone through the manual, but i am still confused.Also, …

Hello,I learned from this forum that RC3 and the new Level-D 767 can be used together without problems.A question though. If I save a flight by the "save flight" utility offered by RC3 and then (re)load it (also through RC3), can I resume the flight where I left it? Is in that case my FMC still well programmed and can I continue flying, knowing that Level-D states that every flight can be saved via FS9 and resumed without problems. (I experienced for instance that saving and reloading flights by RC3 is very difficult, not to say impossible with the PMDG 737NG, since the FMC looses all data).Thanks on beforehand,Juul Tango.

Will RC version 4 require AdvDisp?

When I'm transfered to the approach controller and request the arrival weather, I experience a long delay of about 3 minutes before the ATIS comes up. This can be bad if I've been given an approach to a close runway, as by the time I'm back on the approach frequency it's difficult for RC to get my down to the runway in time.Is it possible with RC to tune into the arrival ATIS on COM2?Thanks for any help-Phil B

I guess I better rephrase the question, will Otto in the new version be able to fly planes other than the default planes in MS,like the PMDG 737,ATR 72-500 and the upcoming PMDG 747, it sure would help if it did.Thanks

This is probably an ancient question but Is there a guage that will permit you to interface with RC3 via mouse rather than the keyboard. I found the miniCP driver but it tries to install itself in FS2002 and I use FS2004 mostly these days.ThanksBobL

I just got the cd installed it and can't wait to use it.But I have a problem - I only see text display in the advisp without hearing any voices.... (I use fs2000 and tried all rcv options(normal/low...)) What's wrong????????

Started having this problem last 10 flights. When Otto calls forweather at 50 miles I get wind direction and speed for the flightlevel I am at instead of the ground level readings. I am using wxREfor weather. What can I do to correct this problem?Thanks in Advance

Hello folks out there im wondering will the first officer in radar contact be able to fly the more advanced add ons like PMDG and ATR 72-500, i know in the default planes you can let the FO control everything, i surley hope so because the new PMDG 747 will be out soon , and to sit in that bird and not have help will be rough.Thanks........................Camtech

When receiving the initial weather briefing at the gate, there is cross-talk between the FS9 ATC (ATIS) and RC3 contollers make it very difficult to grasp the message. Is there any work around?BRLars

Hi there,I hope this isn't in a FAQ somewhere....I looked around but didn't find anything.I did a flight yesterday with RC 3.10 and FS9.1 in the LDS767 from KDEN to KSTL. I used FSBuild 2.2 to create the flight plans for all three items. RC seemed to work just fine coming out of Denver and across Kansas (pointing out traffic and giving frequency changes), but it never told me when to descend (even when only 90 miles from STL), and it never picked up with vectors to the runway. There are a few things I did which may have confused RC...any idea if any of these are the culprit?(1) I have upgraded FSBuild and the LDS FMC with the latest AIRAC (0504). I did not however up…

When compiling the new RC4, is it possible to have choice in the adv display to hand over control of the AC or radios instead of using ctr/shift/M - ctr/shift/K. On a number of panels the use of M removes the gauges and disconnects the autopilot, which is a bit disconcerting in certain situations. The use of K seems to be ok.

Are there any plans to support oceanic clearances in RCv4? Or will flights accross oceans be handled in exactly the same way as they are at the moment in RC3?-Phil

Those of you who enjoy flying real-world routes might like to know that I've just uploaded 130 B767 flight plans in *.rte format which are usable in both the LDS and the PIC FMCs. These are real plans that have all been flown during the past 4 weeks and they should be available soon from both Avsim and Flightsim as ldsfplv1.zip.The plans cover a wide selection of flights from a 37 minute positioning flight to 10 hour plus "long-haulers" from Europe to the US and Caribbean. I will try to attach the tracking map of my flight.I took off at Nashville heading to KMEM. OTTO is resting today. I do all the work.Arriving near MKL the ATP puts me on hold (I followed all the instructions page121 to 125 of the manual).First no choice between En Route Holding and Delay Vectors. I receive only Delay Vectors. First the controller sends me on a 260 course. After loosing the MKL radial I make a right U turn. No reaction from the controller. Then at 10 miles I U turn again. Hello,I recently started using RC (version 3.10.0.2272) with FS9.1, FSnavigator, PMDG 737NG, PSS A3xx's, FSmeteo and combination of many sceneries. At this moment I am very pleased with RC. I have done app 10-15 flights with almost everything running smoothly. However I would like to know how to add runways, specifically 4L/22R for EFHK and 1R/19L for ESSA. I am not by any means a pro when it comes reconfiguring things such as this software likely is so I would appreciate detailed instructions if possible.First (and only sofar...) problem I have encountered is when I tried to load RKSI-VHHH flight but apparently RKSI does not exist in the batabase? Does anyone know if there are alternative (different) voices sets available for Pilot and Co-pilot that are English voices (not American)? Nothing against American, but I am UK based and fly mainly around UK / Europe for BA Virtual and Scandinavian, and would idealy like to have English crew. Up to now I haven't find any information on how to keep a log of controller's messages like it is possible to have with FS9 ATC (kneeboard).So my question is it possible to have one. I sometimes loose a message which is not repeated in the Avdisp window (mainly the important go around message when I am totally concentrated on the landing manoeuvers).I also use Flight Keeper. This soft warns when there is a pressure change so that I can adjust the altimeter. This message, before installing RC, appeared for several seconds on top of the main screen where the ATIS message scrolls around the top.Now it appears VERY BRIEFLY in t…

There is in fact a real problem between the two addon's FS2Crew and RC3. Often the chatter/talk from one program is disturbing/mixing with chatter/talk of the other program. Is it possible that the two developers can talk together about this issue so we could get the problem solved with the new release 4 of Radar Contact??Best RegardsLars

Hi,I just purchased a copy of RC3, but I have a problems.after I insert the registration key, I click on "register" button, but the program does nothing.All the buttons in the radar contact windows remain inactive.Because I have FS2004, then I tried to install the update, but when I click on the installer, this message appear on the screen: "run time 53 error.
