Hi allI have heard so much about Radar Contact in other forums and have had it with MS ATC so decided to look into this forum and read a few reviews around, I have decided to buy RC but reading through a few post i see talk about a V4, is it in my intrest to buy V3 now and if so would there be an extra charge to upgrade to V4 or just CD and shipping costsThanks Heath

Upon arrival at KSEA on a flight from KSLC, I was told to expect vectors to runway 0, which according to everything I have, does not exist. When I attempted to ask for another runway (34L) I was told by RC that it could not comply due to traffic so I asked for 34R and was given the same response. In simple terms, RC would not let me land. I am running the latest AIRAC files for RC and Fsbuild 2 ( my flight planning tool).Looking for some help.BobBirmingham, Al.

Don't know if this has been answered before since I haven't used Radar Contact for a while. Anyhow, after downloading 3.1 and trying to install it I get "Run Time Error 53 - File not found". What do I have to do to fix this? Thanks for any help.Jim

Hello All -Before I get rolling on the questions -First and foremost RC V.3.1 is compatible with FS9 correct? If not, disregard the rest :-)2.) Does RC reconize the other callsigns of aircraft (i.e. Delta, UAL, etc)3.) I'm currently running Ultimate Traffic, does RC reconize and control these aircraft as well. 4.) What is the interface like during flight.Sorry for the list, just heard a little bit about RC and was curious about it. FS9 ATC is driving me crazy with "go arounds" every attempt to land ;-) . The last couple of days, I've went through a couple of problems with RC.1) I was standing by at a runway, and I was instructed to taxi onto the runway and hold. So I did. A plane was landing at the other end of the strip and proceeded to go right towards me and hit me. So Why did RC give me the clear to go onto runway?2) Just a moment ago, I was filing my IFR flight from Saskatoon to Regina. I was told to climb and maintain 1000ft. Saskatoon is about 1600ft ASL. Just to experiment, I continued on to see what would happen later. After takeoff, I climbed to about 5000ft and and contacted departure. They were giving me hell for not flying my assigned altitude of 1000…

Since I installed PIC 767 and My Traffic the meny is gone. Only the transparent green meny is there. How do I get the meny back?Edit/:Ok, now I get it, I had to download advdisplay.dll and put it in the modules folder.thanks,Balooba

AT ALL!Descending into the Class B airspace I am told in a monotone fashion;"Aircraft XYZ turn to heading X descend to 8,000 ft proceed on course."Ok, is it A:) Turn NOW (you fool) to heading X, (then, duh) when you reach 8,000 ft proceed (back) on course. (Which I was on to begin with!)Or, is it B:) Wait UNTIL you descend to 8,000 ft, THEN turn to heading X, (fly around for awhile) and "casually" proceed back on course.You tell me. After I thought I got everything right, I hit a BIG problem with RC.On a KSDF-KMDW flight RC stopped working. I was instructed to 10,000 at 250 kts. about 30 miles out. I started wondering why many minutes went by with no ATC at all, not even chatter. I was about 5 miles away from KMDW. RC basically stopped working! I kept on going thinking that it was maybe a weird approach. Nothing happened by the time I was 40 miles past the airport. Even my ADVDISPLAY window was froozen, I couldn't even change settings there. I minimized FS9 and tried to pull up RC, it didn't respond. It's clear that RC froze up for some reason. I have just installed a new motherboard and tried to re-install RC. The above message displayed and the installer quit.I then downloaded RC(latest update) again. I tried to install again, but still getting runtime error!Any help please?Howie

I took my first full flight with RC. Everything was SO much better than FS9 ATC, except for the stuttering. Usually I get NO stuttering at all. To test this I set-up for the same flight, with the same weather, same plane and same settings, without RC. It was smooth again. I decided to turn on ADV Display from my modules drop down to see what would happen....The stutters came back. When I switched views I got a stutter over brown plate like textures and a second later my textures displayed again. Just to make sure I wasn't crazy I turned off ADV Display, stutters and long texture loads went away. I downloaded the newest ADV module. Can I do something about this? The sim is…

Late yesterday (near midnight Aussie time) I loaded Radar Contact v3. after a reasonably lengthy absence and sent off for the code to get me operational.The code arrived in my email box within hours and I was ready to go. Seems great so far. 1) After getting clearance to taxi, I accidentally contacted tower as if I was already holding short at the rnwy. I was still at the gate and tower cleared me for t/o. I thought the controller in RC would sorta know where I am.2) Maybe I'm dense but where's the chatter files? If it's included I don't know what I did wrong, it's not playing.Thanks, this will be a lot of fun.

When flying into Kslc and Klas, I am always given an altitudethat is too high and can't descend fast enough to capture the glideslope. Is there a file where I can change the altitude given for approach.ThanksArnold

I use Ultimate Traffic with my RC. Does the two programs work together in any way?I was wondering what would be the most realistic percentage I should set my traffic slider to in my settings.I witnessed this to (see attachment). They landed way ahead of the runway and at the same time, and through another plane that was set to take off.

Running all the latest downloads and beta... I get garbled text in the window, some characters are clear, others are replaced by 'blocks'...

I'm back using RCV31 after a long layoff. I'm using build 2272, advdsp 2.1.3.0, fsuipc 3.4.1.1. Flying pmdg 737ng.I would like to have RCV change the radio frequencies for me, but when I contact ground, and acknowledge...advdsp immediately takes me to tower after I acknowledge ground. I would like it to wait until I contact tower myself. (in other words, it doesn't wait for me to hit 1 for tower, but rather, after ground clears me to runway x, when I acknowledge, it immediately announces to tower that I am holding short)Hope I'm making sense.Thanks for any help,TJ

Everything was great until flight before last: I launch RCv3.1, select the flight plan, the "first page" comes back like usual, but the line goes to only about 30% and stops. Never had this happen before. ?? Thanks, louross.

I have often found that flight plans imported from FS2004 don't often work too well in RC3.1. causing some corruption of the programme when running. Is it better to import a flight plan in specific RC3 format and if so what is the recommended planner to produce best RC3 format plans?Best regards,Stuart Hyett:-hmmm
