Hello,I was flying the DVR4J SID out of EGLL today. I have selected "ALT Restrictions" before starting RCv4. There is a 6000' restriction until passing DET05. My question is am I able to remain at 6000' even though the controller clears me to FL150? I got several alt bust warnings, very polite, called me Sir!!. How can I fly the SID alt's?This is a perfect programme. The new "European" feel is excellent, and the voices in the main are good too. Thanks,Dnomyar

I get clearance to taxi to runway, then the only option I`m offered is to request runway. I dont get to talk to tower.I didn`t update the scenery in RC until some time after installation.Any advice, please?

I am a totally new user of RC4. I set it up last night and took a quick flight. Very happy with it so far and I am sure there are still 99% left for me to learn about this product. First my computer is AMD64 3200+ & 1G ram * 6600GT. I get 22 - 28 FPS with FS9 (locked at 28).So far my question is regarding the ADVdisplay (did I say it right?). I read about and noticed a performance drop with the display window open (up to 8 FPS and I fly from VC only), which is understandable. I created a tiny invisible panel just so I can dock the display and I am not sure I saw a significant performance gain over it undocked. Well the advantage of that for me is more that I can…

I have made a flight with RC4 from Spokane KGEG to Boings field KBFI.The RC criticism said I do things badly and that I'm supposed to fly the filed plane and be aware of where I am all the time.The flightplan was KGEG GEG EPH NORMY KBFIin Aerowox Beech King Air 200My confusion starts when I'm close at NORMY. Here the ATC tells me the fly a heading away from Normy (last time 150) and continue my descent to 7000. Why?I do so and after a while I'm told that I'm off my course and order me to make 180 deg turn back north. Hi All,I have a airband radio and like to listen to the local traffic at CYQR. There is arrival and departure frequency available during the day. At around 23:00 Arrival and Departure seems to shut down and go to sleep till around 06:00 , so in rcv4 I also like to remove arrival and departure during these times. This gives me more ways to fly. My question is this: If I fly to a bigger airport like CYWG, CYYZ, CYVR, CYYC, CYEG......ECT.....Does arrival and departure shut down to go to sleep and leave things up to the Center and directly to the Tower? I want to know for these night time late flights.Thanks a bunch,

Hello,First of all, thanks for a great product. This is a fantastic improvement over the FS9 ATC.I have a question about the callsign "Midcon", for Midcontinent VA. There is a .wav file for it in the Winwood directory for the program, but the callsign isn't appearing in the callsign list in the Radar Contact program. Is there a way to make it work?Thanks,Marc

Hi guys - Thoroughly enjoying your product. have a question though because of a flight I just finished. Altho I have a commercial ticket with an IFR rating, it's been years since I've done any real world flying ( medical issue).In FS9 - I was about the outer marker on the ILS at SFO in a 727 when the AP went ballistic - a/c started porpoising all over the place. I went missed and while trying to follow the vectors from RC4 and get the a/c under control, I not only busted alt restrictions several times, I obliterated them. Finally got a/c under control and made a manual ILS approach with success. Needless to say, I heard from RC4 AND the FAA.In all that, I was too busy to …

How long does it take to get that license key emailed to you after you install the program and send out that email with your Product ID. This is ridiculous. $45 for a program that cant even be downloaded and now pushing 6 hours on the registration key to use it. (sorry if cranky guys - had my wisdom teeth all out yesterday). I'm sure it's a wonderful program but would just love to actually USE it! lol

I was at a KSEA gate and was cleared to runway 34R. I noted that there were about 10 AI aircract in front of me, so I requested runway 34L. I was immediately cleared to 34L with no reference to 34R. But, to get there, I had to cross the active runway, 34R (I don't think you can get to 34L without crossing 34R somewhere). I got no instructions from RC4 ground about what to do as I approached 34R so I just kept going to see what happened. Of course, I was rammed by an AI aircraft on its takeoff roll. I assume from this experience that RC4 ground does not monitor and handle aircraft movement unless they are taxiing to the active runway. Is that correct, or is my situa…

is there any particular reason why everytime I'm givin vectors that put me on downwind for a rwy in my LDS 767 they originally assign me to tight of a d/w relative to the rwy so then im vectored out and then back for the base turn..just wondering? maybee it's b/c of the winds?just a small thing i noticed..thxstephen

Hello everyone,First of all, many thanks to John and his team for the wonderful product; it is a real pleasure to fly with it.One question though. In the previous version RC3, if the distance to the next waypoint was greater than (if I am not mistaken) 60 miles, you could get from ATC, on a heuristic basis, an instruction to deviate for weather or traffic. I just got my RC! Yeah!Now my challenge........When I use FS NAV as my flight planner, do I push the Fly Plane button on the FS Nav and the AP, or do I leave all that up to RC? I know how to make a plan and load it, however once I get clearance and take off, the plane starts to wonder...the co-pilot takes over the plane, but goes off course right away....So much for the planner? Hi All,I installed RC4 about 2 hours ago and just completed my first flight KMDT to KPIT. (It's snowing at KPIT). Anyway, my first impressions are that this thing should be nominated for the Nobel ATC award. I read that the voices are choppy and while they are, it in no way detracts from what RC4 does for Flight Sim. Just my opinion. I've been computer flying since the comode 64 and R/W flying since 16 (now 52, ya ya I know old guy) and this really brings the 2 closer together. There were many times I wish I could have heard everything the R/W controller said the first time around as good as RC4. I really like letting the co-pilot handle the radio work while I fly. Really…

Hi All,I just got my CD and did the install. The installation was a breeze. Whilst waiting for the key is there anything a newbie to RC should be doing? I've read through the manual and have the 3rd party software installed. What great luck, I got the CD for the weekend!Trey

What is the concensus as to the best flightplanner to use with RC4. I know that FS9 has a planner but you must manually add the SID's and STAR's to be realistic.
