Hello JD & others,I am a registered user of RC V3.1 with FS2002.I recently got FS2004 as well which I installed additionally and now I want to use RC with FS2004 alternatively. I like to keep FS2002 runable as well.What do I have to do?Can I simply copy some RC stuff from FS2002 folders into FS2004 folders?Or do I have to reinstall the program a second time?Thanks for your advice.Regards,Guido Ostkamp

I just flew from EGCC to EIDW. I thought Radar Contact had forgotten me cos they gave me an altitude of 5000 and then I heard nothing more.When I checked, my flight plan, (by FSNav4) it was sending me all the way to Dublin in a 767 at 5000 ft.I`ve used FSNav for a long time and never had a problem like this before. I checked my settings -767, sids and stars and high altitude.All the way at 5000ft.I loaded the plan again. Same result. I tried a 737 with the same result.Any ideas, please?

I am not talking Radar Contact.In real IFR, I am totally lost with what altitude that I should maintain under various circumstances. I am overloaded with information (it feels like they are conflicting rules).could anyone simply this? :)Here is an example:Say.. Dear forumites (?jd?)Now that I've had a few successful flights with RC4 (no major mistakes, crashes, or lapses of attention at the wrong moment, ie) I've been told several times (harump, coff, coff, heh, heh) during the flight critique that my good work may lead to someone being put out of business.I really don't want to affect anyone's livelihood, but just who am I threatening, anyway?Sorry if this has been asked before, or is in the manual.Thanks for your attention . . .Fly well, be well!Jim in Atlanta (KPDK)

All,love the product.Quick question about Approach, sorry if this has been discussed before. I did about 20 RC4 flights so far and usually get vectored to the active runway (unless I opt to chose another approach).However whenever I fly to EDDH instead of giving me vectors to the active RC4 asks me what approach I would like to fly.- Question is why am I not being vectored automatically as is the case on other airports ?- And what option do I have to choose in response to Approaches

A question ...if my wife should occasionally throw a brick at my head because she perceives that my favourite game is perhaps causing me to sometimes ignore her (and I have to save the flight and close FS) can RC4 be re-connected sucessfully and continue from the FS9 save point?If this is too tricky for the program I will consider getting a new wife.Thanks.

Hi guys,When RC 4 is on it stalls if any cabin announcements or airport ambience are used under FDC or the captain does automatic cabin on signs.I'm finding for the two to work together i am having to turn off everything in FDC except manual checklists. no interactive etcregardsNeville

I got my ticket pulled recently and was just curious as to the circumstances. I was cleared to land at KLGA when, about 2 miles from touchdown, I was advised by the tower to Go Around. I noted a private aircraft on the rwy preparing to launch. I decided to land anyway due to the approach of cocktail time. Since it was my understanding that AI traffic was 'Frozen' during this period, is this kind of thing programmed to occur on a random basis just to keep us honest??RegardsRoger

Is there a way to be less than 11000 or 12000 ft, 40nm from the airport. I seem to be cleared to this alitude and then handed to approach. This usually works fine, however sometimes if im coming in and approaching the same heading as the active runway, i have real trouble getting to the lower altitude in time to land. An example is YBBN to YSSY almost takes you directly onto finals with 16R at Sydney. But i wasnt cleared to a lower altitude in time.. then all of a sudden from 12000 i was cleared to 3000 with such little time.Thanks, Mike.

First of all, thanks for this great product, really enjoying it!!As I know a 'slot' system is used in Europe and as this is not modeled in RC4 I'm curious how this works in the real world. Does ATC give you a time you need to start taxiing when getting a clearance, or is the slot time known even before you board the plane?Furthermore, when during cockpit preparations do you need to get ATIS information and clearance? I guess the FO get ATIS as soon as the radios are powered and you get clearance when you are ready to taxi, or am I wrong?Kind Regards,Marcel

I received my copy of Radar Contact 4 on Thursday last (12 Jan), ordered on 2 Jan, so pretty speedy service from Georgia to the UK, especially after the holiday season. I bought this software thinking that it would be a very realistic add on but I just dont see whats so special1. Firstly, there are no taxi instructions and I dont think AI traffic is coordinated. If you are at a unfamiliar airport , you would always get taxi instructions to the active. Am I making a mistake or miss something on this one.2. I get to the active and nothing happens. al i see is the little window , no instructions, clearance or other info other than the item "main " in the window. Hitting that does nothing.3. Does fs9.1 ground coordinate with the rc4 . In other words if I get clearance from rc4 , will the taxi instructions from fs9.1 be coordinated with the …

After having flown about 5 flights with RC4, the pre-recorded chatter files have stopped. The AI chatter is still operable. I did do some system maintenance using System Mechanic 5 and have defragged my HD but nothing else seems effected. I have unchecked and rechecked the Pre-recorded wavs box in the General settings when RC4 is run but this has not fixed the problem. The winwood directory is intact and I have tested some of the wavs and they play fine through Windows media player.I have not uninstalled RC4 yet and cannot seem to find the install program on my HD if I did.Any help would be appreciated. I like to upgrade my computer about every 3 years, but the huge inconvenience of re-installing everything keeps me from doing it until I'm driven to it.For example, all of the add-ons for Flight Simulator, patches,and fine-tuning has taken a lot of time to get the way I like. RC4, FSPassengers, FSbuild, FSNavigator, FSKeeper, Active Sky 6, PMDG 737, PSS Airbuses, Cessna Citation, and so on...plus all of the other applications that I accumulate over a 3 year period. I know that re-installing programs on a fresh hard drive is a smart thing to do in order to "clean up" the drive and registry. But I dread the hours it takes to put all of the these programs back on a new comp…

I tried a RC session from Landvetter Sweden to Hamburg in the PMDG 737-800.At the very moment I was cleared for takeoff another plane landed just in front of me.I was cleared bty the tower to line up and I did some tasks before actually getting on the rwy? Maybe is it important to line without delay when told to do so? If I do can I count on having the rwy for myself when I'm cleared for takeoff?

I have TropicSim Kingston Jamaica scenery. Starting my approach to airport runway 30 was active! There are no landings and takeoff at runway 30. Also, RC4 asked placed me a holding pattern at first for 10 minutes then for additional 25 minutes! Once at minimum fuel I landed on runway 12 even though runway 30 was active.I am betting the problem is a FS9's limitation in not closing runway 30 for landings? Also, why a 35 minute hold?Thanks,Ulysese

This is a problem with different databases of the different add-ons (eg. a few FIXes near some airports in Finland, used as IAF, doesn't exist in FSBuild, so I need to modify them directly in the FMS) I like to use standard departure procedures (SIDs) and arrivals (STARs) during flights in order to practice my IFR skills, and during those…

I do not know if this topic was covered ... I may not be understanding the interaction of RCV4 with AI traffic but I am on the glideslope and notice that AI traffic still taxi's onto the active runway when I have been cleared to land.I can understand getting a go-around if a plane hasn't cleared the runway but I can see the AI aircraft taxi-ing onto the runway when I am about 2nm out and thus I get a go-around.Any ideas?Thanks,

Hi allJust recieved RC4 a couple of days ago so Im still on the learning curve here. On 2 seperate IFR flights to Boston Logan and Hartfield Atlanta both large airports after I have been told to expect to land at a particular ILS runway I have had RC4 suddenly without warning close my IFR flightplan and leave me to have to find my own way to the airport. I find this odd so I must be missing something here. Please help.Don
