When I click on the flight plan to load (from FS2004) in RC4, a message comes up `searching for Corel Graphics...`.I`ve tried this several times with the same result. It did load once and I don`t know what I did that made the difference.I have used earlier versions of RC but this one has got me beat.

Well, I had my first emergency with Rc4 and I loved it.A short 737 flight from Edmonton International to Red Deer - on a long final approach when the gear didn't go down. Declared the emergency and stupidly asked for Red Deer to land - next time I have a gear problem I'll go to an airport with an ILS system.Fs Passengers wanted me to Squawk 7700, but RC4 doesn't recognise that code in the emergency (too bad).We crashed on the runway, killing 104 and injuring 2. The pilot and copilot survived, but were injured. The aircraft was history.Not a good ending, but a learning experience for sure.

When I start RC$ all works fine. After I'm cleared for TO RC4 crash and I keep getting Runtime 75. I think this started since I installed the new voice packs. Any ideas??Bill M

I have not been able to use RCV4 yet due to the dreaded Run Time 75 Error:Run Time Error "75"radarcontact.rcv4module.rcv4codemainThis happens during or immediately after take-off. I receive clearance to take-off and then RCV4 goes dead. I maximize the RCV4 window and the error is displayed. I have just loaded RC and am waiting for the code to run it. I have installed AdvDisp and it shows up as a module but it is faded out and says `undock window`.Being a bit of a thickie, I`m not sure what steps to take to do this.Any help, please?

Got a new one yesterday after the already reported problems with Approach occasionally giving me wrong QNH.On the way to Stockholm ESSA I got nagged I didn't make my crossing restriction. Which was "cross 40 NM from Arlanda VOR at FL 110". I clearly was at FL110 slightly before that 40NM, so I first thought it was a distance problem and just continued. RC4 let me fly without coming back, after a while I opened advdisp and noticed ARL VOR at the first line with an altitude of 11600. Would have corresponded to the local QNH, but the transition level was set to 5000. Can't be having to set local QNH at FL110. However, I decided to descend and when arriving at 10400, RC4 cont…

Great product.Very enjoyable.Well worth the money.One question which I've not seen in the forum-forgive me if it's been raised but I haven't found it if it has.I have been "scolded" a number of times for straying off route with an IFR Flight Plan!I've treble checked and all seems to be in order both in the FS9 flight plan,the map view and the FMC on the PMDG 737.The resume at the end of the flight tells me they hope I drive better than I fly(nice touch!)Any ideas?

Hey, Before i start with a negative, i want to say how impressed i am, and how much this program has improved my FS experience. Thanks to everyone who helped on this product.However, one thing that is nagging me severely is not all the AI traffic comes through Radar Contact. I turned down my default FS ATC, and if i keep the default FS menu open, i see a lot of ATC instructions appear, but no sound from Radar Contact.Is this normal, or is something not right? For example i did a flight from Taipei to Hong Kong and did not hear a single other request for another plane, apart from my own. However, a lot of requests were issued in the default ATC box. I took a scheduled flight from Edmonton Municipal to Grande Prairie this afternoon, cleared for an ILS approach to Runway 29 and imagine my surprise to see a Jazz Dash 8 siting on the runway ready for take-off.Once selected approach, I'm told I can change frequency but I have no unicom frequency options, even though I entered one in the controllers page.Humm - or did I? I seem to remember some numbers after CYQU in adventure display that must have been the unicom - now if I'd had been on that channel, would I have heard the Dash talking on unicom or not (in Rc4, not MSATC)?I could have tuned to MS ATC unicom (if I had the sound volume up) and I would then have known about…

Here is a problem that I have not previously encountered in RC3 or 4. I created a short flight plan from KLCI to KORE (around 60nm) in a Cessna 172 to test some new cloud textures and overcast. I requested 5,000' in the flight plan but was only cleared to 3000'. The problem with this picture is that Mt Monadnock is right in the flight path at about 3700' and each of my requests for a higher altitude was denied "due to traffic". Is this correct? Shouldn't MSA play a role here?

Hi BryanEverything looks Ok up through finishing the startup of Hotel mode and I fasten my seatbelt. With about 2 mins remaining the clock ticks down to zero and nothing happens. The FO doesn't come on to lock the door etc. and the FA doesn't show up at all. Just silence. What have I missed.RegardsRoger

On New Years Eye (last Saturday) I installed Radar Contact 4 because so many people really liked it and said such good thinks about it. Also, in the last few weeks, FS2004 ATC has had some wierd approachs for me. After I installed it, it never worked like it was suppose to, and yes a lot or most of the trouble could have been "operator error". It seemed to work fine (except for those LOUD, LOUD chatters) until I neared the "hold short" of my assigned runway and then...... nothing for 10 - 15 minutes. The few times I was given the OK to depart, there was nearly always another aircraft in takeoff position on the runway that NEVER, NEVER would take off. 5 to 8 other aircraft…

Over the last couple of days I've flown the same route quite a few times, actually testing another aspect of FS. The route is from Brum, UK EGGB to Dublin EIDW, couple of hundred miles or so. The route also passes very near to Manchester airport. On all flights apart from departure and approach, I've had no hand-offs at all - the one Controller - I think it's London - has taken me the whole way.I see folk are querying multiple hand-offs, just thought I'd query none! Is this correct, or have I forgotten to do something?Bud

With the default ATC I could bring up and close the display window with just a keypress.I would like to do the same in RC. Since the advdisp window is not transparent it sometimes is in the way.Also is it possible to make the advdisp window pop up when it has been updated?

The installation of RC V4 seemed to go without a hitch. However, when I attempt to load the product to access the registration page I get an error message, to wit: "The feature you are trying to use (Simple AT111.msi)is on a network resource that is unavailable." I also get a message that suggests that I search my system for the file/folder containing Simple AI111.msi. Did such a search and no such file was found.Thru a series of "Cancels" and "OKs" on pop-up screens I'm able to get to the RC V4 registration page where I was able to cut and paste my key number from your e-mail. I have RC4 installed on a network PC running Widefs.I have run the makerwys.exe ok on the Flightsim PC but when i click on the Launch RC4 icon i get the following message:Runtime Error 5RadarContact.rcv4module.get_fspathThe program will not open at all, not been able to get into the main screen to send for key file.Any Ideas ?Thank you for your helpAndy C

Hi JD,Not sure this is a problem with others but the text in the AdvDsp window does not work with my PMDG 737-900. It works great when first starting the flight but, when I goto the overhead panel and then switch back to the main panel, the text disappears. When this happens I quit RC4 and restart it but the text still does not appear throughout the flight. I have the latest version of the AdvDsp and the latest FSUIPC. So far I have not encountered this problem with any other aircraft including the PMDG 747. I was just wondering if this is a problem with this aircraft or if there's something amiss with my system.I have an Intel P4 3.6 GHz system with 2 gigs of DDR SDR…

I have noticed that Autosave within RCV4 is saving files at one minuite intervals and is buildig up a large file also the same days of the week is being grouped together with different dates.Does anybody know what numbers are best in the config file of autosave so as to reduce the number of files savedThanks in advance

Hi JD, just wondering how the TOD is calculated. Is there a formulathat is used depending on cruise FL? Using the FMC in the PMDG 737 Igot my first decent 60nm from the TOD in the FMC. I was enroute to KMDW. FISDO now where in sight. Cheers

Hello All,First post on this forum. I'm seriously considering buying RC4 and have a couple of questions.1. Does RC4 use the Editvoicepack callsigns or have it's own database?2. I know that RC3 used the AIRAC cycles from Navdata and RC4 doesn't. I decided this past weekend to start around the world in the Flight1 727. I've seem to have lost the vectors to the ILS. Three flights now in KLAX-PAKT-PABE I had no ATC at all below 10,000ft until I was cleared to land, I set up on the ILS with no approach vectors at all. At LAX I flew over the airport thinking I was going to get some vecotrs but never did, turned around and landed.On all previous RC4 flights I always had vectors and was told what runway to expect.Am I missing something here???Thanks
