I used the request another runway function for the first time. The Tower controller, kept telling me that I'm cleared to use Rwy 9 - repeated it without waiting for my repsonse. When I did respond, the controller stopped telling me. Seems there's a small bug here. This happended at CYYJ.Thanks

HAd done a few flights with RC and went ok, although I noticed frames were lower than normal ( I lock mine at 20). The last 2 days I have been trying to fly and had to about both times because frames were in the mid single digits. These flights were in bad weather.Just did an experiment. Took the A36 Bonanza to a small a/p in Ohio...cleared the weather and checked in & out of the plane. Spot view locked at 20, cockpit 17-18. Started RC, opened ADV window.....frames outside dropped to 12, inside dropped to 9. Remember now this is with zero weather. Add weather & traffic and it drops farther. Closed the window.....frames jumped back to 20 & 18 repectively. Tried…

Newbe here...I was receiving vectors for an approach in KATL. My position was almost on the ILS course (maybe past it) but to far out to receive. I was vectored away from the ILS. I don't rememeber if I was "cleared" for the approach but I didn't get the formal long hand-off. I flew the vector and didn't here from ATC so I did a 360 back to intercept and landed. Hello !Do you think it might possible to add special sqwak Code to RC4.WHy I'm asking this, it will add a lot for FSPax Compatibility. Indeed FSPax we can declare an emergency but we also have to set a special sqwak code on transponder (it can be un-checked if we don't want to use this realistic option)I'm talking about special transponder code you have to set when you have declared an emergency like 7770 or 7500 when the plane is hijacked or 7600 for a lost communicationDo you think it could be possible or is it something really hard to code ?thank you for your answer

First off I just want to say that this is a great product and as long as I'm using MSFS, RC4 or later will always be on. As a real world controller, MS ATC has always annoyed me. Anyways, my question. I've read the manual and understand that under the General Options button I can choose under "Holding" 1. Off 2. Weather or 3. On. I've had "On" selected for my last 2 flights (LAX-IAH) and (IAH-MKE) and both times I wasn't given any holding instructions or options for delay vectors or anything. Instead I was told to start my descent at 200nm from the airport and by 120nm I'm already down to 15,000 and still on my published course. I use FSBuild to make my flight plans …

Newbe question here...I just passed SNS VOR and receive a delay vectors hold from ATC. I don't understand the instructions. I think they said something like:proceed direct SNS (not sure that was all that was said)turn to 135 (this reversed my course)(and then a phrase or two I didn't understand at all - somewhat garbled on ATCs part - I don't think an EFC was included)I was going 300knots and just passed SNS. A turn to 135 put me several miles off to the east and headed back againest my route of flight. I didn't here from ATC for a long time. I was 40 miles south and figured they wanted me to cross SNS. Hi all,I'm a new user to RC and really love it. I can't imagine flying without it anymore. It's extremely addictive ;)Only thing i miss a bit is the taxi ways (but that has been discussed on this forum already). One other little thing however, when i press the check for update button it's trying to do a bug report i think. It wants to open a rc4.log file etc. It's no big deal because i can check on the site also but i was just wondering about it. After that it continues checking for updates indeed but why the logfile?Thanks again for a great addon.Martin

I was assigned 18,000 feet on descent today ( or FL180) and when I got there I hit the B key which reset the altimeter to the local altimeter setting. I then started getting a lecture from ATC about watching my altitude. As I would drift up and down by a couple of hundred feet, hitting the B key would boounce me between 29.92 and the local setting. Here is my question, when do you go from 29.92 to local barometer, at 18,000 or when assigned below 18,000 like 17,000 for instance? By the way, did I get a chewing out when I finally landed :)

Hi,I got my key a couple of hours ago but it doesn't seem to be working. I've copied and pasted, typed it in by hand and it doesn't matter. I click the button, the screen goes away and then when I try to start RC4 again it goes right back to the Unregistered screen. I've installed it on a second machine and going to use widefs just like I did for my RC3 version if that makes any difference. Any suggestions?Thanks, William Shedd

I have a couple of questions about RC4, but before I go further and get flamed, a couple of disclaimers. First: Yes, I have read the manual. Cover to cover over the past three weeks (just received RC4 yesterday). Second: I may even be asking the questions wrong in terms of correct ATC procedures. This is simply due to my only exposure to ATC, real or otherwise, has been the FS9 default over the past 12 months. I see where the manual talks about getting your clearance once airborne if the airfield is uncontrolled and conditions are VFR. This is not the same as a complete VFR flight, correct? Hello everybody,this is might be a stupid question, but is it right that RC V4 does not supply any Taxi information, how you get from the gate to the asigned runway. I just wonder how you guys are solving this when you use RC V4. Do you still use the Microsoft ATC in order to direct you to the runway and later to when arrived to the gate or do you just take the taxiway you like.... which is by far not realistic....I hope some one of you have an easy answer or proposal....Thanks!best regards,Christian

HiIn V3 the copilot could fly the plane by himself,setting heading, frequencies and everything and it would stop at about 50m from destination and then you took over. How can you do this with V4? Is this achieved by pressing Ctrl-Shift-M? or do you enter something else?Stelios

After watching the demo video, without a doubt RC 4 is way better than the default ATC. But I have a question about the voice of ATC. The sentences are combined by different voice files, it has to be that way, but my feeling is the sentences are too discrete. Listening to tower or ground or whatever is just like listening to ATIS, where the sentences are speaking by a "robot". It is nothing related to the accuracy or functionality of the ATC, but the feeling is not that natural and comfortable, any comments?

I set a flight plan from CYAZ to CYCD - both uncontrolled fields, and only unicom was shown in the controllers page.In Radar Contact 4 I had two options - wx on FSS and Clearance from FSS. Calling either of these led to a STANDBY message, then nothing, back to the menu - no call out and no reply.Weather was not VFR, so I didn't have any VFR options.What am I missing?Could somebody go to CYAZ and see if this happens to you too.Thanks

Hi EveryoneJust a minor point re: frequencies.I do a lot of my flying out of London CYXU which is controlled by Toronto Centre.When I get clearance from London CYXU Tower freq. 119.4 and become airborne I am advised to contact departure Toronto Centre freq. 135.3 .This is the correct freq. As I have listened to the Toronto Centre ATC on the scanner.When I am flying inbound to London, I am asked by Toronto Centre after receiving the weather what runway, and type of approach I want.I am then given Altitudes by Toronto Centre and am in control of the aircraft not the co-pilot.The correct Toronto Centre Freq. Just an FYI, in case this happens to you. Yesterday I saved a flight on my LevelD and someohow, it was saved with Adv Display turned off. I then set a new flight up, started up everything, and started up RC4 and I get this jumbled up text instead of the nice text box with the number selections. Figured something had happened in the loading of everything, since the text box and always just popped on when I started RC4. So, I reboot the PC, run FS Autostart again, reload FS9, Level D 767, FS Nav, AS6, yada yada, and the same thing happens......Now I reboot my PC from a cold and dark state and repeat all of the above with my lucky rabbits foot hanging over the monitor as …
