Just tried to fly a flight. Was at the gate in the PMDG B1900. Had the door and cargo door open. RC would not let me close the cargo door. SInce options were visible in the ADV window, as soon as I hit the normal S+E+2, the main door kept opening & closing, and I kept requesting another runway. FS was not recognizing the key combination. RC was seeing the 2 as wanting option 2 in the window, and FS was just seeing the S+E. Is this something new or has this been seen before.I finally just got so frustrated, I shut down FS and am going to bed!I hope there is a solution!Rick

Hi!In vers 3. you had this "canned chatter" and if you installed some downloaded chatterfiles, the canned chatter disappeared.The new AI chatter of yours is really great, since it now sounds like it's coming through a radio, so i would hate to loose it. So - can i install the downloaded chatterfiles now, without loosing the AI chatter.And it is yours i'm talking about, not the Microsoft ditto "in the background".. :-) And i must say it's an incredible improvement from vers. 3. Hi,My computers are located in the TV room and I fly while my wife watches TV. That means I must wear a headset and need suggestions for "mixing" the RC audio from the WideFS machine with my main FS computer. Any "Y" connectors or simple solutions? Thanks.Bob..

I have version 3 of RC and am going to get the latest version. I hadn`t used FS2004 for some time and when I did, I found a really weird problem. It`s not concerning RC, but I know you guys are pretty knowledgable and I am desperate for some help.I can`t move my plane from left to right when on the ground. In the air, everthing works perfectly. My joystick (Saitek Evo) shows up in the simulator and performs perfectly when tested for calibration.However, as soon as I try to move left or right on the ground, nothing happens.I hope someone can help, cos I really would like to get back into flight simming.Cheers

For anyone that is having AdvDisp display problems using recent nVidia drivers (such as 81.95 WHQL) and AA 8xS, I suggest using the nVidia 71.89 WHQL driver available, among other places, at the nVidia website under driver archives.Also, PMDG aircraft load without a "create a flight" display problem at the navdata step using 71.89, although sometimes the "rotating aircraft" display box is black.

Is anyone using this hardware with RC4? When ever I start up the MCP FS9 hangs as soon as the weather briefing reaches the end and only releases again when the ATIS resumes. Same with any other radio contact. Shut down the MCP and everything works fine.Neale Washington

Hello Fellows,I tried RCV4 this week-end and have to say "I love it" I haven't used it since FS2000 days. I observed something that I need clarification though. Why is the instruction to climb to ALT FLXXX so sensitive? I mean after the request is granted to climb, the Controller expects me to do that in a matter of 3 or so seconds? Considering I have to dial the new ALT on the MCP,enter it into FMC and execute and then come back to hit the ALT buttom to release the command for the aircraft to start climbing; I think it is too early for the controller to start warning me (How does it compare to real world?). Having a problem with the keyboard inputs for these programs. For FSPassengers, if I want to change the radio freq, I type N12345 to change my nav radio to freq 123.45. Radar Contact also uses the number keys to answer a controller.When I have both programs running, Radar Contact works fine with the number inputs, but FSPassenger doesn't respond to the number keys. Any ideas how to get both programs to respond to keyboard inputs? ThanksMike

Hey guys, first off I would like to say I love the product!I know there is a post below this one about fps drop with FDC, but I do not use FDC, and this seems unrelated.So I have completed two flights with RC4 and the real thing I noticed is that my system seems to be a bit sluggish. At first I thought this was just the amount of traffic on the ground, but then the problem continued into departure and cruise.I usually get 10-12 fps on the ground with around 70% traffic and ultimate traffic running. sometimes lower. When in the air it can run up to 30-40 and will stay about 20 unless something crazy happens.With RC4 module open (atc window open) my fps were crazy low pr…

Is it me or is RCv4 unable to tell me and/or AI planes to yield to other aircraft on the taxiway???

Just thought I'd ask if anyone has a problem with departure vectoring you to the airway after takeoff. After I takeoff if I don't find the airway myself I'm either getting scolded or just out of luck...

I am using the default where the co pilot is doing the readback. Which is fine.. I actually prefer that.Except.. Sometime when the co pilot has acknowledged an instruction. I have not gotten it. like altitude or heading.and I would like to say "Say again" the last instruction. Is that possible? Manny

Can't see this on the forum already, so apologies if I missed it.I understand that the native FS9 ATC assigns approaches at airports based on factors such as the longest runway with an ILS, followed by the next longest runway (with an ILS maybe), for maybe several options depending on local wind direction. And no doubt all this is topped by whether the approach is visual or not.Does RC4 use the same logic for generating approaches- and if so, can the preferred approach be changed to reflect more realistic airport operations? Howdy,Recently I was trying to figure out how to "hear" the voices permitted in RCv4 so as to make my selections. With some help from Rick I stumbled across this simple answer.Click on the name within the RCv4 setup (where you click to select the voices with a "bullet") and a short line "Radar Contact" will be played for you to hear. You can then decide either to turn the voice on or off. :)Cheers!Iven

I was under the impression that in RC4, if you have AI traffic enabled, RC will assign you the same runway as the AI.My question applies to multiple runway airports.I did a flight from Heathrow to Dubai yesterday, both airports with 2 parallel runways.At Heathrow, I have modified the AFCAD file so 27L is only available for takeoff and 27R only available for landing. And the AI was following this perfectly. 27L for departure, 27R for arrival. The ATIS gave 27L as the runway in use, but when I requested taxy I was given 27R. And on landing again in Dubai I was assigned the runway the AI were departing from, not landing on. Is this a normal RC procedure? Also, on short final…

OK guys... loaded RC4 and it runs great, except... I have lost the ability to download real-world weather regardless if RC4 is running or not. When I attempt to download weather in FS9 (static or dynamic) the sim either completely freezes or it actually attempts to connect to the Jepp site then will just sits at 1-3% and times out. Short of uninstalling RC4 to see if that fixes it (will I need a new key?) is there an obvious (not to me!) fix for this? I have tried temporarily removing FSUIPC (freeware version) and ADVDISP from the modules folder to see if this helps, but to no avail. My internet connection is fine and with DSL weather used to download in a few seconds. An…

Hi,I made my first flight this week end and had a problem.I messed the the MSA and basically, I was really high and was guided way off the airport to loose altitude. So, I requested a lower altitude, but no figures appeared, only :1.2.3.4.5.I typed one of the numbers and the controller told me I was cleared to.... without saying the actual altitude.I did this is the approach phase, when ATC guided me toward the airport, maybe this is why, are we supposed to make any altitude requests at that stage ? If so, maybe the option should not be available ?I hope I made myself clear,ThanksOlivier

I have just loaded v4 and Norton AV picked up 'Flight Express.wav' in 55 folder. The virus reported was 'Bloodhound.exploit.6'. Anybody else got this, any advice would be appreciated.
