Just need to know if it's possible to add callsigns and ICAOs by combining wav files? I have a lot of customised locations as does a group I work with - I'm quite happy playing around and combining files but need to know if the file structure of RC4 will allow 'new' files to be added and identified in this way. Otherwise I'm apoised with my credit card for today/tonight.Thanks.

I passed on getting RC version 3.? when I found out version 4 was coming and have lived with the default for some time.After reading the responses and hearing the demo, I am not fully satisfied with the audio, but here are my questions.1) Are the voices the same as in version 3? Are the people not satisfied new owners, or owners of version 3 also?2) If you install RC, does it destroy or change default ATC? Can it be uninstalled easy returning to the default ATC?3) And finally, if RC is installed, can you choose to use RC4 or default?Thanks for your time!Rick

Does progressive taxi still work? It would be hard to find your way around airports without plates.

I can't find the .PLN files for the RC4 tutorial flights. Should they have been created during the install? Are they available for download somewhere else? Or, do I need to create them myself? Help...Doug

I cant wait to get my hands on RC V4, I have a few questions which I beleave many people may be thinking.Will RC V4 dislay the atc conversion in text for both pilot and controller as it does in fs2004? I ask this because I like to fly with pilot voice turned off and thus read out loud the "atc Read back". I think this makes the whole interaction feel a bit more real.If I place my order on the release date, can you give a rough estimate on how long it would take to be posted to Ireland. (I.e in time for the x-mas holidays)CheersSimon

I am interested in Radar Contact V4 and have a question.When an ATC voice responds in Radar Contact is it voice only or can we have an accompanying text as FS9 ATC's do?For most it would not matter but for me it is important -- my hearing is sort of shot and without the text the probablity of me getting vectoring wrong is high.Thanks for the help.RegardsDave

Manufacturing advises completion a day early. If you've ordered an upgrade and your CD didn't go out today (the 7th), it almost certainly will tomorrow. The target date allowing for new orders is the 10th.v4's been a long road. We truly hope you are all well pleased with what you see. Sorry if this has been mentioned in the manual, I have three questions:1. Will RC 4 issues shortcut instructions? e.g. "fly heading 120 and join XXX north of XXX".2. Besides the crossing restrictions during approach, will RC 4 (randomly) issues any other types of restrictions? I mean, is there only one restriction that you will have during the whole flight?3. Can I request hold myself?all in all, I just want to practice my FMC skill by instantly respond to any restrictions... it will be fun, is that possible?Thanks!

Hi. I am having a strange problem running RC in FS version 9. The checklist will pop up unexpectedly maybe once or twice during each flight. After this happens the flaps will automatically deploy to takeoff position. I am flying the payware Commander but this only happens when RC is running.This weekend I downloaded the final RC version 3 build and reset my FSUIPC settings to default. I verified that I have the latest FSUIPC.I am also running FS Meteo. (I don't have the version number with me but it is the version compatible with FS9)Any ideas what could be causing this? I usually fly LDS767 or PMDG 737-800 with Active Sky and Ultimate Traffic. How much of a performance hit will I see using Radar Contact 4.0? Thanks.

In RC version 3.10 for holding to occur the final checkpoint has to be a VOR or VORTAC that is within 5 miles from the arrival airfield.Is that restriction still valid in version 4?Cheers,Bert

For the wishlist:With 4.0 here I am in a queue for takeoff runway access opposite across the threshold from another queue. FS releases alternately the opposing taxiway aircraft and those in front of me. As I sit at hold short, the AI across from me continue to get takeoff access while I sit. Would not I not be merged into that alternating pattern or do I have to wait for all of those in the opposite queue to clear.Approaching traffic is thinned out by AI Smooth. On my side there were two in front and on the other about seven.I don't think there is any function you can use to get me appropriately cleared to position in the sequence but I thought I'd ask anyway.This is prob…

I know RC uses muliple runways. Does RC assign one runway (35R for ex), for departing and (35L) for arriving. Or does it let us sit at the active runway waiting for planes to land, while the parrallel runway is bearly used? Thats one thing about the default ATC does that drive me crazy.
