How well can RCv4 perform at higher than normal acceleration speeds??? When flying to destinations like CYYZ to Heathrow will I be able to speed of the sim speed to say 4x or 8x with out it being a problem for RCv4? With the default ATC all one had to do was not tune in the next center controller until 40 miles from the start of decent point. Works like a charm with the default ATC...

I use multiple computers using wideview.Should I run the RCv4 in another machine using WideFS?

Hi,Earlier this evening I took the plunge and purchased Radar Contact v4 CD4 expecting that I may have a bit of a wait before receiving the goods - time of year and all that.However, I was pleasantly surprised to read on the 'Order Fulfillment Details' page that, and I quote:"A download link to the full version product has also been emailed to..." and there followed my correct e-mail address.I have been checking and rechecking my mail box in eager anticipation over the past 2-3 hours but nothing, nix, nadda :(You really shouldn't get a guy's hopes up like this...lolCan anyone shed any light on this or will I just have to wait impatiently for the CD?Mike

Hi J.D. When I asked my wife about getting my RC4 cd in the mail I was informed that I would not see it until "Santa" delivered it on Christmas day. What a sly woman. :-lol Anyway....my question is this. Is there anyway I can get registered by email prior to my actually opening and installing the RC4 CD. I don't really want to be bothering you on Christmas day trying to get a registration number.Thanks,William Shedd

OK.. I skimmed the manual... installed it.. and took a quick flight from KGKY (Arlington) to Waco (KACT). I have flown this in real life.. and its a short hop. So Picked this.This is very very preliminary observation.. so take it in that perspective. First impression never theless.1. Hey guys.I orderd the full copy 12/10/05, early in the morning.It is 12/17/05 and all I have recieved is a email from emetrix saying my order was complete.I know it is coming from GA, and I know most things don't take that long to be shipped.Anyone else from chicago land get it yet? Any answers appreciated...I have a STAR in my flight plan and request IAP from Center about 40 miles out, no approach controller at arriving field so no vectored approach...waypoints are displayed in AdvDsp but as soon as I contact Tower waypoints are replaced with airport and rwy info. Is this intended..? Should I not be contacting Tower until I finish the approach and am on short final?Regards..

When I try to start Radar Contact on the WideFS PC, I get an error message, "IPC Timeout All Retries". WideFS is working OK and it shows a connection to the FS PC. I followed all instructions in the manual plus what ever is on these forms and still keep getting the error. Thanks for any help.JSample

Hi. Wondering if anyone can help. When I use FDC version 3 with RadarContact 3 there where no problems. With the new version of Radar Contact, Version 4, FDC locks up FS9 when I start my take off roll after the co-pilot says "airspeed active". I'm not using any of thecustom checklists just the standard flightdeck calls.It was suggested to move the FDC folder to a different folder. So Imoved the FDC folder to another harddrive with the same result.This message has also been posted on the FDC forumAny help on this would be great. Thank You.Stephen

OK.I loaded the flight plan.. and did everything as per the Quick start guide. Save the RCv4 settings.Started the FS9 amd loaded the flight plan.Clicked on Modules ATD and resized it and moved it to a corner.It now tells me. 'Click on "Start RCv4"where is this?MAnny

HiI have assigned Altitude of 7000. I'm using ASV but keep getting told to correct my altitude although I'm at that level. Can you please advise me where I'm going wrong.ThanksBob Wright

Greetings,Received my CD and am installed and registered. I have RC4 on the same "second" computer I run RC3.1 with WideFS.When I run the Rebuild Scenery DB button, the program never "asks me" if I am running WideFS. (Manual page 118) It just "processes" several steps, having click the OK button four times. I did place the makerwys.exe file in the main FS9 folder and ran it.Any suggestions?Thanks.Joe Lorenc

Hi,I was so eager to install RC4 when I got it, that I overlooked the fact that I could run it on a second PC via WideFS.I have already gotten my key and am doing a test flight now as we speak. May I still contact support in order to get it running on my WideFS pc after uninstalling it on the main PC as there seems to be some kind of FPS hit with the app running (just a presumption, have not tested it since I have to wait to reinstall it).Thanks,Matthew

The first instruction in the first tutorial instructs us to "Click the FS200x button and choose the V4 1 KDSM-KORD.pln"However I cannot find that plan amongst my other previously saved plans. Should I have created it myself or is it hidden somewhere else?Cliff

Tutorial 1 requires the use of Departure Gate "B3".However KDSM offers no such Gate in the list of gates. Or am I mistaken?Cliff

I read somewhere in your publicity material that you had recorded the names of about 150 airports for use in RC4. What happens therefore when you want to fly into or out of an airport which is not on that list? Do the controllers refer to the airport by its ICAO code, so that they might say, for example, "Monitor EGNT tower on ..." rather than "Monitor Newcastle tower on ..."? Is there a list available of the 150 or so airports whose names you have recorded?Thank you.Martin

Howdy, Got RCv4 and the key today and started my first flight. WhenI opened ADVDSP I got the green bar as usual but no text is showingin the ADVDSP window. Help as I can't wait to get this going.

I have a laptop i take to school and a desktop at home. Both have FS9 and I would like to have RC on both, do i just need to ask for another key once my other computer has RC installed? Thanks,Travis

Hi all,Ordered RC4 the other day and was just going through the manual and had a question:I see the option for requesting direct to a down-range waypoint from the controller yourself, but does RC ever occasionally clear you direct to a down-range point on it's own in an attempt to save you time by "cutting the corner" or anything like that? This happens quite frequently in the real world and if it isn't in there I think it'd be a cool feature to add in the future.On a related question, will it ever deny your request for direct or delay it for 5 or 10 minutes while the controller verifies with another center/sector for flow control etc? This is also pretty common in RL.T…

RCv4 has arrived in the UK. My copy arrived in this mornimgs post. Can't wait for the registration code to get going.
