Hi cap, I noticed that there are always a 2-3 seconds delay between the pressing of key stroke and response. Say it takes 2 seconds before there is a playback of acknowledgement after pressing key "7". Is it normal?Thanks.Sagan

In FS you can press the ' key and the ATC box can be displayed or not. Is there any way to assign a key to make the Radar Contact box display or not? At the moment its just always on my screen.

Hi!I wanted to know if it's possible to resume a flight after FS crashed. I flew from Bali (WRRR) to Syney, using the pmdg 744. About 1 hour into the flight, FS crashed. I had saved a flight & panel situation (using the pmdg function), so I was able to resume my flight. But how can I use Radar Contact when such a crash happens? I tried to load an automatically saved flight into radar contact, but then I got a mix between pmdg's settings and the position from the flight file.Thanks!regards,Japhy

I installed RC4 and it ran fine - loaded a CYYJ-CYYC flight planI backed up the data file.I ran the "Rebuild Scenery DB"I then loaded CYYJ-CYYC flight plan and got a runtime 53 - something about "get departure error".I couldn't load any other flightplan either - returned the same error.I created a new flight plan but it returned the same errorI restored the data file and problem solved.Question: What does rebuild senery DB do and why do I need to do it. And why am I getting Runtime 53 error after running it?Thanks

I've just done a small trial with Ray's voice and accelerated and trimmed the numerical wav files (also the word 'decimal) and wonder if anyone feels it's worth pursuing?The zip has two files one 'standard' and one accelerated in CoolEdit - fpr comparison - it's not taken from use in the sim - just the wav files glued together.http://www.bucknellandbedstone.org/sim/rc4_voice.zip

Hi, I need an opinion from those who have used both Radar Contact ver. 3 with AI Smooth and Radar Contact ver. 4. I use mainly GA aircraft at smaller airports. My question is...will Radar Contact ver. 3 with AI Smooth provide good traffic control or do I need to get Radar Contact ver. 4. I currently have version 3 but have not had much of a chance to use it yet and I don't want to upgrade unless necessary. Thanks in advance for your advice. Regards, Dave

Does RC4 have trouble with time acceleration? Flight from KIAH TO KDFW, I asked for vectors to runway, it acknowledged, then I did 4X acceleration for awhile then came back to 1X. RC4 vectored me past the airport, then 60 miles northwest. Only when I declared an EMERGENCY did it give me furthur instructions. Might time acceleration be the problem?

The aircraft vectoring by ATC in FS9 is pretty poor to say the least. I was hopeing RC4 would handle vectoring more intelligently. I was approaching Biggin Hill in the UK near to Heathrow, ATC vectored me 15 miles downwind and 7 miles across wind for an ILS approach to rwy 21. This took me across the approach path to Heathrow's runways 27.My question is why does RC4 ATC vector a Beech Baron 58 so far away from the airfield. In real life a B747 is only vectored about 10 miles downwind at Heathrow.Glen

I am getting an error message just after take off that reads run time error 75 Radar Contact.rcv4module. rcv4codemain. I have tried all that I could think of and any help would be great. RCV4 loads fine and all ground operations are fine, it crash's just after take off.

I've had V4 (my first) about 4 days.I have spent time with the manual and made 3 flights. All with the Dreamfleet Baron. Very nice plane. I can make this short and sweet.I'm loving this program. I've noticed that when the AI contact ground to request startup they insert the current QNH between the callsign and 'request startup'. For example 'Speedbird 7013 1026 request startup'.I first noticed this during a long taxi from one side of Paris Charles-de-Gaulle to the other, but it occurs elsewhere too. It might be just non-FAA airports, as I haven't flown in the US yet.

How do I get rid of FS ATC and let Radar Contact control me and all the AI?

I have just received and installed RC 4, everything run well till the point I tried to load an FS plan. At that point RC gives me an error: RUN TIME 53, missing departur gate (or something like that). I tried several time but nothing has changed, the error is still there.Anybody has experienced the same?Thank you Pap

Never had RC3 and have had RC4 for about a week now, and for me the jury is still out.The ATC control in the air is a vast improvement from the stock FS ATC. But the Ground Control is almost non-exsistant! "Taxi from XX to runway XX, and hold short!" Or "taxi to gate XX" I don't think at O'Hare or LAX or JFK, they let the pilot make his own route to the gate/runway!!! FS ground had its faults, but was pretty good at defining your route and holding planes in your way. I just finished a flight from KSAN to KMHR in a Citation. I was told to taxi to runway 9 and hold short. I had to cross the active and did just as a 737 started his take-off. It was night couldn't tell, but n…

yes you can delete rcv3 before installing rcv4. do a defrag when doneno you don't HAVE to delete rcv3 in to install rcv4. defrag after installing v4jd

Hi,My RCV4 cd finally arrived Australia yesterday (not pre-ordered), I was so excited about it, however, after installation, I knew I would not be able to use RC4 in the near future, here is the reason:The installation was smooth, after copying all the files, I clicked "Launch Radar Contact 4" and wait...... oops. no responds, double clicked again... still no responds. Suddenly I recalled somewhere in the forum mentioned that your Windows language setting have to be "English" in order to run RC4. So I changed the setting from Chinese to English, and restarted the computer. I tried again, double clicked "Launch Radar Contact 4", phew, the beautiful splash screen finally sh…

When building the RC database it has been found that KPVD was missing when this excellent scenery was active.The simplest solution at present is to go into your Addon SceneryFlightZone01_SCScenery folder and rename the filepvdrwyname.bgl to !pvdrwyname.bglThis allows our database to be built correctly.Thanks to Vauchez for his help with this fix and for confirming that this change should not affect the scenery (just remember you did it if any updates come out for Rhode Island!)Our apologies for the inconvenience.All the best,John

After uninstalling the FSHotSeatFX, I got this message:FSUIPC couldn't run: "EFSFXSoundFSHotfx.exe MINIZ" [Error=2]I then went back and uninstalled it again, a differnt way (thru the application itself) and still get the same error message after initially staring FS9. Everything worked fine after I clicked 'ok'.Now, Radar Contact was working fine, but then all of a sudden today my FS9 software locks up with a flashing hourglass after trying to maximize FS after it's sized down to start RCV4.
