My first flight with RC4 so it's probably user error but - loaded fp from KBUR to KSBA. Took off, enroute was given "resume own navigation" by controller. I had been heading 265. I enabled the GPS which turned to follow the route shown on the GPS. Shortly after the turn, the RC controller chided me for not being on course and ordered me back to 265. INstruments showed 265 heading, "shift-Z" - showed 266 heading, GPS showed 266 desired track - 276 actual. Had to fly the route manually not using GPS.Is this normal?Other than that, very nicely done program - very enjoyable flight. Pilot and one controller voice sounded choppy but all other chatter and voices were fine. Using…

Hello,I don't know if it is a mistake from me or anything else but everything was working good until today. I was starting a flight from DAAG (Algiers, Algeria) to LFML (Marseilles, France) and I was unable to contact ground. Nothing happens, I pushed button 1 and no sgn of activity on AdvDispI was able to ask CLearance and pushback but unable to contact ground. It is like button 1 is not working at all. This is very strange because it is the first time I experience this thing.I tried to configured other configuration button but same problemI have a WideFS config, everything seems to be well connected and configured, very strange...I also experience a very low access time…

Someone else brought this issue up with regards to the somewhat "robotic" nature of the atc voice clips - so I don't take credit for the idea. I do believe as someone else suggested, that if you speed up the sound files of the controllers and the pilots it would make the spacing between clips less prominent. I believe it would also add to the realism. I love RC v4, I am getting used to the voices, but my problem is the speed of the clips. Part of my problem is that I used EditVoicePack to speed up the default FS ATC and now I am used to the ATC commands being shot out at a fast pace. If I understand correctly the program that you used to edit the sound files is capabl…

Guys I have no idea what else to try at this point. My FS9 has always run great. Worked great under Radar Contact 3. However since I installed RC4 I can't complete a flight without FS crashing. It can occur 2 minutes into a flight or an hour into it. But I'll be flying along and I get a black screen. Then after 30 seconds a message pops up that FS needs to close and do I want to report it to MS? When the crashes occur, task manager tells me RC4 is not responding. I have used the update button and RC4 updated today. However FS still crashes. I have also tried using the rebuild scenery button in RC4. No help. My FS9 worked perfectly until I installed RC4. What do I do now? …

HiWhilst flying a generated flight plan using RC4 the headings as shown on the Adventure Display for various waypoints seem not to be in synch with the position of the waypoints as displayed on the Navigation Display of a PSS Airbus. RC4 controllers are forever giving me a new course to steer to a given waypoint that would clearly turn me away from the correct path as shown on the PSS nav display. Is the Nav database of PSS totally different to that used by RC4 and if so is there away to solve the issue.Regards

I don't know if I have missed this but where do we get the latest Navdata (AIRACs) from with RC v4?

When trying to run RC4 for the first time, I get an error message 713"need this file on your system". I found it (good old Google), installed it in Windows System (which already had it) and also in System32 directory. RC4 still gives the same error message. Anyone have any ideas? JamesJ

Hi Everyone,I'm new to Radar Contact, so forgive me if this is a dumb question. When using RC4, and having the flight plan loaded to FS9 (but I have not contacted FS9 ATC), I'm getting default AI chatter at the same time as I get RC4 ATC instructions. I've tried turning off all the default ATC setting I can find, but I still get the audio from FS9 ATC/AI. Any help would be greatly appreciated.Only 3 flights so far, but RC4 is very impressive, and I still have a lot to explore.Dale

Hi guys, first of all, thanks for this piece of software : it's really nice, I love it.But I've a little problem...I'm at this time flying from LFPG to OBBI.I use WideFS, with on the second machine RCv4 and Flight deck Companion.Everything works OK, I made a few flights with the same configuration without any problem. But on this flight, I'm unable to give the comms to my copilot (ctrl shift K). The keyboard shortcut has'nt been changed. I can give him the plane (ctrl shift m), which is useless (I'm flying the LvlD 767). But ctrl shift k does'nt make anything...thanks if you can help !Denis

Howdy. Few questions if I may...I read in an earlier post that in order to avoid distractions between the FS9 ATC chatter and the Radar Contact ATC that you turn the volumn down on the FS9 ATC, etc. The problem is, the AI traffic (I an running Ultimate Traffic, if that matters) keeps conversing with the FS9 ATC, not the RC ATC. In fact, it seems that the FS9 ATC doesn't even know that I exist. Is there a way to have all go through the RC ATC?I am also using FSNavigator. I create a Flight Plan, save it, export it, load it, etc. as usual. Running FSNav by itself works like a charm in auto pilot mode, following each waypoint, Flight Level et all properly. However, when I fir…

Hi All,Any way to permanently disable the green text bar in FS04? Or is the best is to reduce its size and hide it with the AdvDis Window?Thanks,Jimhttp://www.hifisim.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6...development.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg http://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-beta.jpg

Here is my problem:1. Saved a flight in FS9 using Ctrl-Shift-;2. When I came back later to resume the flight, I used RCv4 "Load RCD" button, clicked on the saved RCD file in the browser window, RCv4 load progress meter (blue bar) went almost to the end and froze there.3. I could use other RCv4 buttons (e.g. check for updates) but FS9 was not responding and the load RCD file process never ended.I am using Win/XP french version.Any clues??A happy new year to all of you.Jacques LauzonMontreal, Canada

Just bought RC4. After reading posts after posts I believe RC4 is the best offline ACT one can get for FS9. At the current stage of my sim ATC is the weakest point. I also plan to make this purchase my last one for FS9. After this I should be all set with FS. Now I am the weakest point of my sim. It's time to really totally focus on learning and practicing.Till FSX comes out, I can finally take a break from managing addons and tweaking, which has been my main subject on FS9 since the day I got it. I thank you in advance to complete my sim!Jason ZhangEDIT: I'll download the manual and read through it to get myself ready. One of the questions I have from ready posts …

Hi,Today I did my first full flight using RC4 and flew from EKCH-Copenhagen to EDDF-Frankfurt.Flight was controlled good, I only have a question relating the switching of centers:I had contact with 2 Copenhagen Centers, 4 Bremen Centers and 2 Frankfurt Centers, all on different frequencies. Is this correct? I would have expected only 1 of each.

I just flew KPDX - KSFO via PYE landing on 19L. First I must comment that the directed apporach from PYE to ILS 19L was amazingly close to the track which I have seen many airliners fly! Bravo for this program in terms of its accuracy. One problem however. Using ASV 6 this was the metar:KSFO 310256Z 19019G26KT 6SM BR SCT020 BKN025 OVC042 16/14 A2979 RMK AO2 PK WND 19029/0233 RAE14B31E46 CIG 013 RWY L10 SLP089 P0002 60005 But the weather report was "sky clear"!!Whaat went wrong here?Greg

Heard about RC4 a while back when it was announced... got very interested in the concept. Finally more realistic ATC which allows for SID/STAR usage so one can finally take full advantage of an FMC inflight. I have finally worked out pretty good solutions (well not solutions more like workarounds) to all the limitations of FS9's ATC when flying heavy iron IFR but RC4 takes care of it all (and properly) in one sweep.Anyways I have read the info on the website as well as a lot of the posts here trying to get a feel for RC4. The one thing I have not really seen talked about though is performance. Does RC4 produce a hit in fps? I saw one or two threads about performance …

Haven't received the cd yet so this may be a bit premature. I have two systems that I use to fly - main and a backup system. I'm thinking of running WideFS and putting RC on the second system but haven't committed to that yet. When I get RC ,I plan to install and register on main system. If I decide to test different configurations, will I have a problem installing and registering RC on the second system?Thanx,VicVisit the Virtual Pilot's Centerwww.flightadventures.comhttp://sales.hifisim.com/pub-download/asv6-banner-proud.jpg
