I have finally got RC4 and the key within a few hours (good thank you)One problem I encountered was that I can't select engines anymore with e 1 e 2 or e 12 with advdisp and RC active. I have fix hardware acceleration enabled in FSUIPC and that used to work.Also in addition to advdisp window I get a big green multiline window (like the default ATIS) with garbage characters and some words from advdisp window. I could close it but I suppose it's not to show up at all.

After haveing purchased RC3 and after some tests put it aside I now upgraded to RC4 and admit I will never go back to MSFS ATC. Besides some minor "anormalities" and the robotic voices - all discussed in the forum allready - I had today the following experience:My flight was from LOWW (Vienna) to LOWK (Klagenfurt) in Austria.The Tower-Controller told me to "line up and wait RWY 34" while an other plane was approaching RWY 34 to land (By the way I was number 5 in a queue of departing flights and I am useing Mytraffic2006).While waiting for take-off-clearance on the runway the tower-controller cleared the approaching flight to land! For visual approaches to non-ILS runways, RC4 puts me on a heading similar to an intercept heading for an ILS approach. At this distance and altitude, I'm usually in cloud so I cannot see the runway.How would I normally go about this kind of approach? Do I need an aid, such as GPS or other navaid to find the runway?, or would the controller steer me right if I went past runway approach?With the default ATC, it would stay with you until you confirmed visual on the runway. I've read the other posts, I've read the manual, and am running FSUIPC 3.52. Flights made using PSS Airbus A321.I ensured that the DP option was enabled before takeoff, because my 1st WP was 60 nm away from the field. All went well until being handed off to center, then for the remainder of the 2 hr flight, I received heading correction calls about every 30-45 seconds. The hdgs given always corresponded to my current hdg,I got the "ding" when passing the WP's, and the FSNav line was always centered. It's driving me crazy! I also tried going direct during the flight to "re-sync" but it did not work. All because the 1st WP was outside of 30 nm?

During my way through tutorial #3 today, I noticed that the co-pilot adjusted the altitude setting of the autopilot quite some time before the controller actually said so ... I recall the frequency was quite busy at that time, so most likely the program had decided to assign the new flight level, but had to wait for saying the words. If I were at the controls, I could hardly have reacted so fast ;-) I'm not sure how hard to fix this is, but it would certainly add yet another notch to realism.

Just finished another great flight with RC4 and noticed a small issue. I was told to cross 40 miles from LAX vor at 7000. Well I'm 60 miles out and decide to cruise at my current altitude of 9000 until I'm closer to 40 and then begin a descent down to meet the crossing restriction. No problem.Well soon after these instructions I was told to contact LA Center. So I did and the pilot told center we were at 7000 feet when we were still at 9000. I eventually descended down meeting my restriction. This caused no issues or problems just making you aware of small things I'm seeing.Sean

Sorry guys , i will probably get some enemies here but i like to be frank.After waiting 10 days + 1 more day (registration) for my copy i amquiet desabused.The worst are these robot voices "american - 2 - 68 - line up and wait - runway - 31 - left " Compared to this FS9 atc sounds like a symphony...Then the adventure window. I don't know where to put it. it always disturb me . I made around half a dozen flights with RC4 and thought I write down some stuff I noticed. I have mostly bought it based on the advertisements of European procedures and phraseology, so my critics are not general, but just go straight in that direction. 1. The praise first : It was a pleasure to hear European phraseology for the first time in FS, I like the transition altitude handling, also the interaction with AI was flawless, no disturbances at all. Hey JDI'm really impressed RC4. I have a issue when I'm leaving the gate and transfer com control to the copilot. Approaching the assigned rwy, ATC instucts to contact tower. Copilot contacts tower and tells atc that I'm at the line an ready for TO. Even though there ara AC in front of me. There seem to be a sequence missing. Maybe your #2 0r #3 for TO??Bill M

First of all, congratulations to the RC team for this great add-on. I did my first flights meanwhile, and everything worked just as it should (or even better :-))Today I remembered that I did not rebuild the scenery db after installation. After starting the process, I immediately recognized that the numbers of airports and runways found so far stayed very low (I did not note it down, but both numbers never reached 100). When the process was finished (no errors reported), I had to realize that these numbers had been real, so my a4.csv and r4.csv file had become very small, and loading a flightplan into RC resulted in "runtime error 53" messages.After already 2 or 3 users h…

Hi there, I am now using RC4 and love it. I seem to be having a problem with taking off from KSFO. I have loaded a flight plan KSFO-KLAX using PMDG 737-700. I am told to taxi to 28L KSFO but after 3 tries, I never get told to monitor or contact tower. I just seem to hold at 28L on ground control forever and am stuck there. I realize this is probably an impossible question to answer, but what is the liklihood that RC will be compatible with the next generation of FS. Is there any history on RC and the progression of FS up to FS9? Everything I have read on all the forums is that this is one of the best add ons, but before I spend $44, I want to be reasonably certain I can continue to enjoy its benefits in a future FS upgrade. In going through tutorial 2, KBNA - KMEM, I got to the point to pause the flight, press ;, and type the title. Did all that and then exited RC. Brought RC back up, clicked on "Load RCD's" and the following dialog box listed no .rcd files. I then did a system search using *.rcd which recorded no files with that extention......what did I miss?????Regards,Pete

Hello !Do you think it could be possible to add a short cut "-" and "+" if we want to cut down the volumeSometime Volume are too loud and sometime Vlume are too low it depends of the situation and especially when you have other software adding sound.It would be really great to have the possibility to manage the volume as in Real when we don't want to hear other communication especially on ground when we are focusing on checklist and adding this volume manaer should be really greatfullThank you for your answer ;)

I was wondering for some guidance here. I have the new RC4 (which I love). I have a registered copy of FSUIPC. I also d/l'd the latest copy of ADVDISP from Peter's site. I am flying with 737PIC, but problem came up with the default plane. When I load ADVDISP, 90% of my screen is black, except for the ADVDISP square and about a 1/2 inch line at the top of the screen. I need to left click the mouse on the black part and wiggle my mouse to activate my window, enabling full screen. From here, I dock ADVDISP and load RC4. Things look normal from here. I get ATIS, ect. Now, when trying to access my FMC or my other panels, I cannot. I need to left click and wiggle again…

Hey:I've recevied the new version and am having really only one problem: it's freezing up the whole session, primarily when there's a voice being transmitted. It will usually get out, for example, the "Delta" part, then the first number of the flight, and then stop, 4 secs, next number, 4 secs, etc.Machine is top of the line hyperthread 2.8ghx, 2gb RAM, with 256mb video card. I have 2 10k HD's, one running FS, the other is the system drive (which also has the other programs, including RC4). Have 100% traffic set as well.Also, is there a way to turn off MS ATC? I've requested a different runway twice now and both times, all AI traffic landing after me is cleared to the runway I requested. Is this intentional or a bug?I feel like God - hummm - I'm gonna make that following jet land on my runway.Thanks

I planned a short hop from KBOS to KACK today and ran into a "thing" that might be a bug or a feature depending on the reply to this post. :()While planning the hop I accidently set the cruise altitude to 1000 feet rather than 10000 feet. As I started the flight I was surprised as ATC cleared me to 1000 feet after take off with no "expect FLxxx within YY minutes...etc" to follow (I didn't yet realise the mistake I made in filing the flight plan). Hi Fellows,This week-end I will fly my return sector (Delta FLT# 31)to JFK from Moscow. I have a question about this flight into Kennnedy. Suppose on my arrival, the wind is blowing from south-east with a clear wheather. Is RCv4 programmed to use the famous 13L/R visual approach via Brooklyn bridge and Carnisie VOR along the eastern shores? I Have a problem when in the cruise I am told by the controller that i am at the wrong altitude, however my altimeter is correctly set and I am at the altitude that i have been cleared to and also as filed in thye flight plan.I even get altimeter updates from the controllers but I am still told that I am not at the correct level.What am I doing wrongBy the way can I congratulate you all on a truly great product
