I just completed a flight Lihue to Honolulu1. I had thought the centers , approach would have names. Ie Honolulu approach, Honolulu center etc. Is that an incorrect assumption? Was like RC 3 " contact approach" this time around.2. I seem to still be vectored very far out from the airport[ A la FS9 ATC] IE about 20 miles, rather than a more direct approach to the final approach fix which is closer to 7 to 10 miles. Hi,I've made a few flights with the new version, and I keep having the same trouble. The program quits with this message:Run-time error '76':RadarContact.rcv4module.rcv4codemainIt happened each time about 10 minutes into the flight. Each flight was different. I'm running RC on a 2nd machine using WideFS. RC is the only addon running remotely. Any ideas?Thanks,N704FN

I use Active sky and unckecked the ATIS/Flightwatch box as suggested.I still get both FS 9 and RC 4 weather reports on top of each other making them unintelligible.Also when flying in general FS9 chatter will be occuring intermixed with RC 4 chatter on the same airplane, sometimes on different ones. Often they override each other though making it hard to follow intructions. I am not activating the flight plan in FS 9, only importing it into the FMC of my PSS Airbus 320.Any help would be appreciated.ThanksGreg

Hello! I just wanted to say that I am really excited to try out RC4. I have never used the RC4 product, but it really looks like an amazing addon. I ordered my copy of version 4 on Saturday morning. Having experienced ATC in FS 9 I am trying to learn what to expect in RC 4 in this situation noted above. This information will accelerate my learning curveWith FS 9 ATC I might expect to be vectored to intercept a final approach fix for ILS at about a 30 degree angle, about 2,000 feet AGL. For most add on autopilots the intercept must be below the glideslope to capture.Recently approaching San Jose International 12 Right ILS from the north I was "cleared to descend to 4,600 [ cannot recall the exact number but it was the MSA] turn to XXX and intercept etc. The intercept course was way off and I never would have intercepted the glideslope and I may well have misunderstood…

I ordered RC4 over the weekend, and am anxiously awaiting delivery.Looking at the RC4 screenshots in the tutorial for the KDSM-KORD flight, I note that RC4 uses the real-world frequencies for the two airports for Clearance Delivery, Tower, Departure etc.Checking the FS2004 airport database via FSNav, I see that the default MSFS ATC also uses the very same real-world frequencies for both airports.In anticipation of the RC4 release, I recently purchased Ultimate Traffic, specifically to populate the skies and airports with as much real-world AI traffic as possible for any given day and time.Obviously, none of those U.T. AI aircraft will appear unless the FS9 traffic simulat…

Hi yesterday i was planning a flight from heathrow to nice, france and when i pushed back from the gate and i was taxing away left turn, i had a AI aircraft behind me that never stopped, wasnt told to stop and crashed right into me. Crash, then i didnt feel like redoing all the flight planning so i never bothered to finish the first RC4 flight. Any ideas why did this happed? i didnt update fsuipc to 3.51 still have 3.5 installed. thanks for any help.

Hi there,No such thing as a dumb question :-)If the active runway is 09R it means you will need to approach the runway from the West side of the airport. So if you are coming in from the East it is a 'Far-Side' approach. You must fly past the airport then turn back.The idea is that in this case RC will keep you higher and faster for as long as possible, getting you to your destination as quickly as possible.All the best,John

First off-looks like a great program-and so nice not to have all those screwy zig zag vectors.I flew my first flights last night and had a few screwy things happen.....I planned a flight from kfnt (a class c airport) to ozw (an uncontrolled field). Was cleared for takeoff at fnt on rnwy 36 in the Dreamfleet Baron. Wasn't turned on course (sw) till beyond the 10 mile ring on a north heading-I didn't have any ai traffic on-I would have been turned or been calling the controller in real life asking to turn on course well before this-is there a setting for this? Hi,Really enjoying the new version, I see lots of great improvements. I have a question about AI traffic control.I was taxiing to the runway and just about there when tower cleared me onto the runway. Just then an AI plane stated he was on 1 mile final and asked for clearance to land. Of course I was already on the runway so he had to go around (even though it was not stated). I was wondering shouldn't tower hold me short of the runway with a plane on 1 mile final?I also had a plane fly past me on approach almost hitting me in the process. I know you can only control so much but are these to be expected?Thanks,Sean

Hi,When I am waiting the arrival of my RC 4, I read the table which compares the function of RC 2, 3, 4 in the RC 4 manual. I saw some of the functions that existed in RC 3 was taken out, namely, 1. Airport and navigation data from AIRAC cyclesDoes that mean RC 4 will not respond to any changes of navaids?2. Different transition lvls for departure/arrivalI actually see you can define trans LVL in the Controller Info page of RC 4 ,but the table said you can't? I have searched the manual and cannot find what the FSUIPC settings are when RCv4 is installed on the non-FS computer using WideFS.I just want to make sure the AI control features and anything else FSUIPC is properly configured so that I do not see any anomolies.Thanks,

I am flying CYHZ-KEWR and the DTRK in GPS and FMS is hdg 302. In the AdvDisplay CANAL intersection showing 82m/235/0. Do I have something configured wrong?Also, I am using WideFS and I cannot find the fsuipc settings in the manual. I was running FSHS but I am not running that now. Any ideas?Thank you.
