First of all thanks for 4.01, RC4 is even more a pleasure now. Also great to read the review here at avsim and the planned 4.1 enhancements. A few questions :1. To enhance the fun flying in Europe and with 4.1 maybe some months away, I try to extract several airport names from the control wav-files. If all goes well, that could lead to around 30 new airport names. Now also Graham has made some nice enhancements (big thanks for the NorShuttle, just BTW !) and some are recording new voice sets. Hi JD,so far, RC4 is astounding.Just a small question: is there a way to get the ATIS AFTER you get the Clearance during departure ? This is beacuse it happened to me, using Active Sky, that I got the ATIS about 5 minutes before the hour, then got my clearance, then got the taxi clearance, and while taxiing the new weather loaded and I wished I could re-check the ATIS (in fact, winds had shifted and visibility dropped from P6SM to 2SM) . I try to re-select the ATIS frequency but got nothing fo more than 3 minutes.Thanks a lot.

Is there a way to break up the update. As issues come up, issue fixes instead of waiting for major updates that cover alot of issues. That would make it easier for people with slow download rates.

While test flying a 737 around last evening, it occured to me that the female "OTTO" from version 3x was no longer with us.Did the FAA ground her? Is it possible to get her back? If so, in which winwood from version 3 did she reside?Dom

JD, Is your server that slow? I don't know what the problem is with the download but I can normally download a 22mb file in less than a minute, about 200kb / sec. This file is going to take me 6 and a half hours at that slow rate of 640 bytes / sec! Is there an alnernative to downloading this file at a faster rate? If not,I really don't see the point in even offering this update as a download. It would be a waste of time for me. It could be due to heavy traffic, which is what I am thinking, so maybe I'll wait for a while and try again later.Regards,Tom

just curious if anyone could take a sample of a V4 clip and the same clip with V4.1 so we could here a comparision. Maybe this wont translate well into .wav format, I dont know - I am just curious.

Just downloaded and installed ver. 4.01 but wasn't asked to obtain a new key as was specified in the installation instructions. Is there a problem here? Jim

Hello everybody,when I do my flight preperation I got an issue with the assigned Runways... Before I file my Flightplan (FSBUILD) I check the METAR for the Airport and when I see that the wind is coming from 270 I select the runway 26L (e.g. in Munich EDDM)... When I then start my flight (loaded Flightplan, started RC) then I get assigned to RWY 08R... which does not make sense to me.... I thought RC takes the weather conditions into account by assigning the Runway... Then I tried a strange thing!! I asked the controller to give me 26L, which he did... but of course the entire AI traffic was still using 08L / 08R.... you can imagine that this start was pretty exiting...Do…

Hi,How long does it take for email activation. I already have to suffer waiting in the mail. If it is more than 3-4 hours I will not buy.What determines what accents atc will use. If I fly an atr wil it affect the accents.Does Rc4 decrease fps at all???ThanksAlex

After downloading 4.01, I went to ck updates in the RC program and now it is updating to 4004. The problem is it turning out to be a very long update! Help!

I've been using RC for some years now and really am enjoying 4.0 ( I'll get 4.1 when the rush is done ! ). One of the new things I enjoyed was contacting the tower while taxing to the runway and then being told I was # whatever in the takeoff que. Just recently ( no add-on's and I did rebuild the database ) when I'm told to "contact tower" or "monitor tower" and I or "OTTO" switch frequencies the takeoff AI A/C que seemed to freeze , nothing moved unless I cleared the traffic by fast forwarding 8X.I checked this out by repeating the same flight numerous times and not switching frequencies until I was #1 in the que and the A/C on the runway had started his T/O roll. Hi all,Yesterday I wanted to fly from LEBL to EDDF so I created my flightplan in FSNav and exported it to FS2004 format. As I imported the plan into RC4 and pushed the "Controller Info" button I didn't see the arrival airport. In the "Load a Flight Plan" window the arrival airport wasn't visible either whilst all the waypoints were. I tried to insert EDDF manually in that window, but with no succes. I then tried to import a previously flown plan from EHAM to EDDF with the same result.Is there anyone with the same problem and can somebody try to replicate this? yesterday for the first time since v.4 i landed in a "animated" airport (ZBAA).and i could finally appreciate the new AI ATC.Now my question is:if FS9 engine drives AI traffic, how should RCv.4 interact with same AI? i hear both FS9 ATC and RCv.4 ATC talking to AI.today, while pushing back, i have been hitted by a 737 that pushed back at the same time from the gate near the one i was pushing from.so what is the rule?thanks in advance for helpingLuigi ;-)
